the use of the stool is common in the lama? is it the equivalent of plum blossom poles?

The stool is just a cheap substitute for the poles. The plum blossom poles are the best but they are hard to set up. We have some prototypes of an indoor version that we use at our school. Can check out the pictures here: Tibetan Lama Martial Arts

Been watching your videos and it really is curious how your Tibetan Lama is so visually different from that of Chan Tai-San lineage and as performed by his students. Makes me wonder how many generations you are distant from each other. The same can be said of White Crane and Hop Gar.

Juno Donatus maybe we “look” different but the basic elements like 8 punches are the same. Most lama, hop gar or Tibetan white crane practitioners were only taught the external 8 外八門. My approach is to start internal and external from the beginning. You may notice our posture of upright body torso that is different from the others for example. That is how we internalize the movement to be more streamlined, resembling those small Tibetan hand drums. As for lineage with other school, I don’t think we can be that far apart. This art was only spread out to southern part of China by monk Sing Lung. Then Wong Yan Lam learnt from him. Choi Yi Gong became Wong’s last students and he taught Lo Wai Keung, who is my teacher. All existing schools I know of came from southern China so we can only be at most 4 generation apart
