Wow that looks fantastic. We used 1/4” carbon felt to make a insulating cover. Made the pattern to cover the door as well but left the sides of the door cover loose so it folds up out of the way to open the door. Magnets hold the door flap down. We noticed that we use less fuel now.
Dave, The welding blanket thermal barrier is an excellent idea. I just ordered a Coleman camp oven on Amazon. I'm going to try out your idea. My wife and I live in Modesto, Ca.. We just bought a brand new Four Wheel pop-up Camper for my Toyota Tacoma 4WD 6 cylinder truck. The camper fits in the truck bed(no oven possible). I came across the Coleman camp oven on Amazon yesterday and decided that it was the solution for my baking needs. Your welding blanket idea is the perfect mod to insulate the oven. Thank you for taking the time to share this idea with the rest of us!
Paul Desrosiers Cool! If you want to see some good camp oven results check out our recent thanksgiving video:) Here’s a link to our website where we recently added amazon links to the things we use. Safe travels!
Those breads look fantastic. Here's my easy yeast bread recipe/technique for camping: In a gallon ziplock bag put 12oz water, 1/2 tsp yeast, 1.5 tsp salt and 15oz flour (3 cups). Close bag and knead enough to mix well. Open a small section of the zip top and set upright for 8-12 hours (it will bubble up). Cut open bottom of bag and squeeze into loaf pan. Let rise for 30-60 minutes. Bake 375 for 25 minutes.
The warmer it is, the quicker it rises. Some bakers leave the dough in the fridge overnight-- so overnight in a cool van would be no problem. The dough is very flexible on the time-- I would say a minimum of 5 hours and max of 12 hours. It's amazing how much the flavor and texture improve when it has a long rise time. The inside of the bread will probably have lots of holes and be very moist-- like ciabatta bread.
Awesome job on the oven mods! I would add a flap that comes down from the top to cover the front of the oven (with a hole or window to view the thermometer).
yay! Banana bread! I mean . . Yay! Adventure! Another great video, so glad to see Pistol on the mind. Safe travels. Thank you for sharing. I may have to try Dave's wine timer idea.
Great job on the welding blanket cover, one thing you might want to think about is if you use the internal butane canister, there may be too much heat to that canister, kaboom!! I see that in this video you are using the remote propane canister, some other people might use the internal butane canister, be careful out there people.
Nice job with the selfie stick while hiking, Dave. The high angle showed how close you were to the ledge and the wonderful view below. Chili mac always gets a thumbs up!
That's a first class oven that you have there now. Great job on that. It's so nice to see that Pistol is on the mend now, it is hard to enjoy yourselves when the puppy is not feeling up to par and you are having to worry and fret about that. Have fun you three and stay healthy and safe. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Yes, the oven has really come a long way! Dave is pretty handy. 👍🏼 We are SO happy Pistol is feeling better..what a relief! Can’t wait for the stitches to come out! 🐶
I put a square cast iron griddle in the bottom for better heat retention. I definitely feel your pain with the insulation. And the oven is full of holes, so I wrap it in foil just to keep the heat in.
Since this old video I have made a new cover out of a different type of welding blanket. It looks and feels like thick felt! Works awesome. It’s a bit spendy but was worth it for us. I think we have a link to what we used on the products page of our website. Careyonvagabond.com
Wow the welding blanket worked great job. I have to admit I would have never thought of the tile stone,jb weld and magnets though I think I will copy that. Glad to see Pistol improving. Thx for sharing I can't comment on the food other to say it all looked great Pat
Well if you come up with any better ideas for the oven let us know! This is just what we’ve figured out so far. The blanket really seems to help a lot. Pistol is doing so much better! Yay! 👏🏼👏🏼
Hello there! Thank you for this most informative video. It has inspired me to try the welding blanket idea. I have just ordered my first Coleman Camping Oven. They aren't available here in the UK so I've had to order it from America! Have you considered installing a viewing window like in regular domestic ovens? I'm thinking of doing this. Happy travels.
Your welcome! We have cooked some amazing things in that oven. We have a more recent video where I made a new cover out of a carbon fiber welding blanket that is thicker, softer, more flexible and foldable. There is a link to it on our products page of our website. CareyOnVagabond.com Haven’t thought about a window. If you do it let me know! Send pics!
That Mac & chilli looked awesome! You're quite a baker. Putting us all to shame. Pistol's eye is still half closed. The bright sun must be hard on her. What a good girl.
Well I don’t know that I’m putting anyone to shame, I’m just kinda winging it and hoping for the best. Lol! 🤞🏼😃 Pistol still has three stitches in her eye so it’s pinched shut on the outside...but I reckon you’re right, the sun is probably bothersome. We need to try her goggles again once she’s healed up. 😎🐶
Yes to the macaroni, yes to the honey buttered corn bread and yes to the banana bread! I have a carb loving problem!! Great job on the oven cover- we will probably be coping that idea! Glad to see Pistol getting back to normal.
Wicked idea with the welding blanket! You've probably already gotten this suggestion, but you should check out high temperature gasket paper and stove cement. It's a safe alternative to ceramic insulation, and it's extremely thin, so you'd still be able to fold the stove.
Dave's magic cover. You are amazing. YEAH pistol. and yeah oven blanket and banana bread success. I seriously miss corn bread, dang. I use to like my corn bread with butter and chopped green onions. but honey butter sounds great. that Redstone hike is fabulous. definitely on my list. you should some the informations signs for us. incredible view, dang. sorry Irene, no MAC and chili lol
Chili Mac 👍👍 Tuna Mac 👍👍 Mac & Cheese 👍👍 Mac w/Butter, Salt & Pepper 👍👍 Etc etc lol! In regards to your oven, three words come to mind: Ingenuity - that modified tarp blanket as a heat retainer & wind shield, was a brilliant idea! Innovation - you were thinking along the lines of "Marketability", w/o really thinking about it at all lol! Application - you made what appeared to me, two wonderful items with that badd boi (banana bread, cornbread ;) Thomas Keller (best Chef in America), has about 3 different mineral salts, that he offers as options for his dishes! One of them is a 220mil year old salt, that was cultivated from the ancient sea basin that used to cover the area you're currently in right now, 250 million years ago! Your drone footage captured some awesome views of what a small portion of that ancient sea bed looks like in todays modern times! I was REALLY DIGGING that! I had no doubt that Pistol would soon be getting her groove back on, after that eye infection grounded her for a few days! She was really working on that bone hahaha! Another awesome video by the dynamic trio 👍👌😎✌🏻
Yes to all things chili and Mac! 👍🏼 I agree that Dave is pretty handy. He ponders for awhile then comes up with a plan. He even made a pattern for the cover first! No me, no way. I’m a “don’t measure at all and cut a bunch of times” girl. 😂🤷♀️ That salt sounds interesting, I would love to try some! I’ve had black lava salt, it’s pretty good. 👍🏼 Pistol is doing great. Her energy isn’t quite the same yet butt she’s getting there. I think the pain meds really messed with her. Stitches out soon! 👍🏼😊 Carey On!
Ooooooo.....I haven't had lunch yet.......looks so yummy. Nice job. By the way, I noticed your screen door (one of the originals on the Zion). Have you had any troubles with it....I like the idea of something to keeping the pets safe?
No troubles with ours at all. We have seen the new ones but much prefer ours. I understand why they switched though, if you don’t open and close it just right it won’t last long.
Coming from Texas where we are connoisseurs of chili you can do any darn thing you want with it. I put sour cream in my chili and that tradition goes way back in my family. It's a big debate in these parts about beans or not but I like it both ways. Chili mac is a staple although normally I'd do it with left-overs. Try some on a baked potato. I'm a new subscriber but I sure love your life-style. My wife is not ready to embrace it but we are active RV'ers and always good to see what full-timers do. Thanks!
Welcome to our Vagabond Family!! Lots of options with chili. I didn’t even know until recently that some people make it without beans! 😂 I guess a lot has to do with how you eat it growing up. I like what you said though, you can do any darn thing you want to it. Maybe our paths will cross out there one day! Carey On! 🚐💨
Your cornbread and chili looks so delicious, Irene! Super cover you made there Dave -- sell them on Amazon/eBay to other Nomads. Miss Pistol looks beautiful, especially with her rose pink skin and black polka dots!! Love to you all!! x0x0x
Thank you! I think those oven covers would sell but then again that sounds like a job. 😬 Pistol is a one-of-a-kind best friend. We are so happy she’s feeling better! 👏🏼🐶❤️
I like spaghetti or macaroni in my chili ever once in a while I grew up in Louisville ky. From here to Cincy pasta in chili is a must. And you must dunk your peanut butter sandwiches in it, so it is made a little more runny around these parts for dunkin'. Most of the time though I don't out pasta in chili.
Hi ..new to your channel..I have a Coleman oven ..would a butane stove work just as well as your propane one ?is it just a comman single burner propane stove ? Love the insulated blanket ..well done!
Thanks Evan! I believe it would but I don’t know much about the Coleman. The one we use works with butane or propane and is 15,000 BTU’s. It is on the products page of our website if you want to compare it. The size if the single burner is what really helps. Hope this helps!
have you made regular bread in this oven? that is a cool idea using a welding blanket to make your wind break,, just subbed and thumbs-up,,, be blessed and safe
Nice, glad you're having fun. Don't know why you billed this as being about "awesome Coleman stove mods", when it's mostly about your fun trip but very little about the oven. whatever.
Love your videos and you have turned me on to using an oven. You mentioned you used a tillman blanket can you help me to find which one you used. Going to make one!
Most everything we use including that welding blanket are on our website with the amazon link. Careyonvagabond.com It is a bit spendy, big and hard to cut. I have seen a smaller better priced one at a tractor supply store if that helps. Good luck!
Did you send the blanket idea to Coleman? Just an idea. Great video. By the way we've been thinking about downsizing from our large C to a van. You have dispelled the fear my wife has that you can't cook when doing your type of travel. Thank you.
1. JB Weld was an excellent idea, I was wondering how you’d get it together. 2. Hope you share your friend’s sumo springs impressions, I would love a bit more clearance on my Aktiv. 3. Chili and Mac should be separate! Of course, I’m a heathen who likes beans in his chili, so what do I know?
Sumo Springs in the upcoming video! Still filming a bit, should be up by Friday if we have service. Wait! Real chili doesn’t have beans?! What the heck is it then? Just meat? 😳🤷♀️🤔
Carey On Vagabond Depends on where you’re from. I take most of my BBQ, smoking, and chili from my time in Texas...that means NO beans. Usually just beef, onions, garlic, chilies, and a few other things. But, if I’m not with Texan friends, I blaspheme and put them in. Here’s a good piece on the bean debate: www.southernliving.com/dish/chili/chili-recipe-debate-with-or-no-beans
Thank you! No, I don’t make or sell them. We have the amazon link to the welding blanket I used on our products page of our website. Or I’ve seen some at a tractor supply store that were more reasonably sized and priced. www.careyonvagabond.com/amazon-products
Nice solution for Coleman Oven - could you give a link for the welding blanket? Also - how did you cut out the fabric? I would think most scissors would not "cut the mustard" Thanks!
He did use scissors actually! They worked really well for the first half, the last half was more of a chore and the scissors are now in the garbage. 😬 Here’s the link to the blanket. Not sure we paid that though. Also maybe look for a smaller size. We have a lot left over. www.amazon.com/Tillman-Heavy-Duty-Welding-Blanket/dp/B002WPJ04I
Thanks! I’ve since found a better type of welding blanket. Feels like thick felt and folds nice. You can buy the blanket on the products page of our website and make one. We have amazon links to all the products we use! www.careyonvagabond.com/products
I say Mac and chili. Just about anything goes with chili. Growing up, it was a treat to get a glass of orange juice along side the chili. Weird family tradition. Pistol is a little yuda-ca-budda . That’s what my son would say about our Boston Ely...just so cute!!!!
I don't know what temp gets on a welding rod but i have welded fairly close to a blanket. Now the old blankets used to have asbestos in them but it was a fire proof cover on both sides. If you think it might be an issue take some very thick good aluminum foil an get that spray contact cement an lined inside of it. That new material maybe asbestos free i don't know. I just wanted to say that even though i did mention asbestos when i mention it to you. Just being safe.
On the chili debate. I like mine on the side with cornbread. My cornbread has cheese and jalapeno in the middle. My Dad loved macaroni in his chili.... So yeah, variances within a family are a thing...
On a side-note, you can make some really awesome corn bread by taking a Jiffy white cake mix and a Jiffy corn bread mix-- mix them together and add what it says on both packages. Bake in a larger pan. Delicious!
I bought a welders blanket but it is made of a material something like a thick felt, do you think that J B Weld will hold it together if I cut it to fit, thanks
Sharon Nix I’m not sure. Since this video I made a later video last summer where I used the felt like welding blanket. I like it much better. Instead of JB weld I used clothing snaps and it worked great! Good luck!
Great drone shots! Pistol still seems a little under the weather, but when you couldn't smell the banana bread, I bet she could. Great crumb-in, banana bread and corn bread. I like chili either way,YUM!
Chili, Cheese, Corn Chips. I love Cornbread, but that goes with the Beans cooked with a ham bone. Chili either goes with cheese and corn chips, or on a hot dog, with cheese.
I'm from Wisconsin and yep we put noodles in our chili and ya gotta have the sour cream and other toppings including good sharp cheddar cheese!! Sorry Dave! lol Carey on...
We bought it on Amazon and had a link on our website but it appears they are out of stock. Before that I bought an unglazed ceramic tile at Lowe’s and cut it to fit.
Great mod ideas for the little Coleman Oven. The problems with them aren't quite as bad used on a 2 burner stove, but they still exist... I like that stone for sure. What exactly did you use for that?
Daves Workshop Thanks! I went to Lowes and bought an unglazed floor tile. I ruined a small handsaw blade scoring it enough to break it to fit inside. I think there’s video of it in a previous video we did.
@@CareyOnVagabond Thanks for the feedback. I found a pizza stone locally, 10.25 x 8 that matches what another user did. I need to do that welding blanket mod.... That should help regulate my oven temps...
@@CareyOnVagabond I got the stone, came in yesterday, tested it out with a can of fridge biscuits. Did the job pretty well. I think the welding blanket idea you had will help as well... I am concerned the thermostat in it is far from accurate so I am going to test that next... Just curious. Where can you pick up a cheap welding blanket to cut up and use for this project?
Daves Workshop I’d be interested in your thermostat test result. I’m pretty sure I ordered the blanket on amazon. It wasn’t super cheap if I recall. I also ruined a pair of scissors cutting it out. I made a pattern first out of an old tarp.
hey guys , how did you like the vegas area , my daughter lives in henderson nv about half hour from lake mead , check out valley of fire and maybe you will want to head to laughlin nevada or arizona i know their is a Lion Habitat near henderson NV withe about 30 big lions cool place
It’s a Gas One stove with the Coleman camp oven. Here is a link to our website with links to these and other products we use! www.careyonvagabond.com/amazon-products
Hi, guys...love your videos. Just purchased a Simplicity SRT; your videos inspire me to get out there with it. Glad Pistol is on the mend. I'm curious if you guys have ever used booties/shoes on her during your hikes. I'll be bringing my Llasa out with me and wondering about wear and tear on his little feet. BTW, the breads looked a-mazing!!
Congrats on the new rig! You’re gonna love it! We have not used shoes on Pistol. Her feet are pretty tough from being consistently active. She’s not a big fan of sharp gravel though so we try to limit our time on that. If you do try shoes let me know if he keeps them on. Seems like Pistol would give em a fling.
It’s a Coleman camp oven and it’s a pizza stone. Helps a lot! All of the products we use are listed with their amazon link on the products page of our website. (If available from amazon which I believe both of these are😉👍
Well honestly we don’t know for sure. Next time we put a new one on there we will keep track. We definitely get multiple bakes out of it. It lasts a lot longer than one would imagine. 👍🏼
Would that silver heat resistant tape work on that carbon fiber welding blanket ? I have a lot more of the tape on hand than I do JB Weld and every dime counts right now.
I’m not really sure. I have never used it. I have a bit of that tape so in the next day or two I’ll see how it sticks and get back to you 😉 I’d try now but it’s pouring rain where we are😏 Check put some of our latest videos. We’ve cooked some really good stuff in that little oven!
wow Dave awesome job on the cover ...you should patient that cover .....OK not a big fan of Banana bread but Chile and corn bread OMG yes I like the noodle idea but try it with lettuce and corn chips on top with sour cream MMMMmmmm sounds crazy but it is so good......and BTW the road shots are just beautiful....again we love you guys ....hugs and kisses to Pistol
Is Pistol still in pain? Pain pills are hard on the kidneys. I can recommend natural and safe if you tell me what it is. Free. Write if you are interested. If he has any other health conditions, let me know. I've worked with herbs free for 30 years.
love you guys, great video work. I am not sure about 'Mac and Chilli' but I'll try anything and love to mix unconventional foods together, Pistol looks better! We took Tucker to visit the Bavarian 'Christmas town' of Frankenmuth, Michigan this past weekend. It was to celebrate my birthday (yaaaaa! free dinner at Zender's). Tucker was a bit scared of the water. This was his first time near a river (a fast flowing one at that)...........he wrapped his leash around Carolynn's legs as she climbed the steep, slippery bank tripping her and wrenching her back a bit. He had a 'hung dog' sad look at her, realizing what he had just done....lol
Happy birthday! 🎉🎂Poor Tucker...and poor Carolynn! I hope her back is doing better. I can picture Tucker now, all sad and sorry. Can’t stay mad long with a face like that. 🐶🤗
I am wondering why competitor Ozark trail who also makes propane stoves like Coleman hasn't created an Ozark trail oven! The price of the Coleman ovens has escalated to $74 to $90 which I feel is too much.
Man that scenery was just rediculous. Marking that one down to see for ourselves. On the Chili I could do either or. On Pistol, glad she's doing better. Cheers guys. 👍
Wasn’t that incredible? And we were the only ones out there hiking! There is a seven mile hike off that last 1/4 mile one we did..it goes through what they call the Bowl of Fire. We want to go back sometime when Pistol is up for it and hike that. Let us know if you venture out that far, would love to see pics. 👍🏼
Wow that looks fantastic. We used 1/4” carbon felt to make a insulating cover. Made the pattern to cover the door as well but left the sides of the door cover loose so it folds up out of the way to open the door. Magnets hold the door flap down. We noticed that we use less fuel now.

Smart, just bought one, glad I watched this.
Yummy. ..all of it.
If they don't make covers already you should patten it for sure!
Love the love you 3 have for each other :)
Awww thanks Vickie! We haven’t found a cover that’s premade but someone should, it’s a lot of work to make one! 😬👍🏼
I wonder if Coleman will see this and make the cover. Great idea.

Awesome idea!! I've been looking for options for my skoolie build, this really looks pretty perfect
Matt Blount It works great! In later videos we’ve baked some awesome food. Even some killer apple pies!😁 Good luck with the build!
Sweet bad ass mod...thanks for sharing!!
Thanks!;)
Brilliant ideas for improving an old favorite part of our camping gear! ❤️

Genius! You should patent this oven blanket.
Yeah you better. Don't let Chinese to steal it. At least apply for it so it's on a way to be patented.

Carey On! 🚐💨
Yum!! That chili with the macaroni salad in it looked great!!!
Thanks Tina☺️
Excellent mods !
Thanks y’all. Got our oven and grill now.
Awesome!
Dude!!! Get with Coleman and get them to make this or patent it and sell these. I was about to throw some cash
Me too! I’m ready to buy that cover
Well I’ve never heard of such a thing as dunkin’ a pb sandwich in chili!?! It sounds a bit odd but I’ve never tried it so maybe it’s good!
Amazing job Dave love yah both
Thank you Penny! Dave is pretty handy to have around. ❤️👍🏼
Hey it would definitely work on a coleman single burner butane stove.
Macaroni for sure! With onions, sour cream, and just a bit of shredded cheddar. 😋
You got it! 👍🏼👌🏼
have you made regular bread in this oven? that is a cool idea using a welding blanket to make your wind break,, just subbed and thumbs-up,,, be blessed and safe
We’ve made lots of bread, pie, scones, etc in this oven.😉 We have a lot of videos on this. Welcome!
@@CareyOnVagabond thats what i was wondering, now when i go camping i can make bread when camp is set up,, be blessed and safe
This is a great video thank you😁
Thanks for watching!
Careyonvagabond.com
It is a bit spendy, big and hard to cut. I have seen a smaller better priced one at a tractor supply store if that helps. Good luck!
Lake mead is awesome...were you able to hike the train tunnels?.....
Not this time
Did you send the blanket idea to Coleman? Just an idea. Great video. By the way we've been thinking about downsizing from our large C to a van. You have dispelled the fear my wife has that you can't cook when doing your type of travel. Thank you.
Awesome! You’re welcome! We just cooked a giant apple pie tonight and shared it with 4 other couples we met in a campground tonight!😁
I got a question for yo where do you buy the hose connection further one stoves that are for butane can you connect them to your bigger bottles
What a great modification you made for the Coleman stove. Are you selling them?
Thank you! No, I don’t make or sell them. We have the amazon link to the welding blanket I used on our products page of our website. Or I’ve seen some at a tractor supply store that were more reasonably sized and priced.

Thanks so very much - hope Pistol will be back to normal quickly - One more - about what is the max temp in the oven now with the new cover?
Not sure. We have only used it up to 375 with the cover. Lower seems to work best with the flame so close.
Awesome! You should sell that cover!
Thanks! I’ve since found a better type of welding blanket. Feels like thick felt and folds nice. You can buy the blanket on the products page of our website and make one. We have amazon links to all the products we use!

Oh! Hoping you get a tour of your friends rv to show!
Well we didn’t do a tour (Winnebago Travato) but we did see his sumo Springs which we will show in the next video...as soon as I get it together. 😬
I say Mac and chili. Just about anything goes with chili. Growing up, it was a treat to get a glass of orange juice along side the chili. Weird family tradition. Pistol is a little yuda-ca-budda . That’s what my son would say about our Boston Ely...just so cute!!!!
We will have to try chili with a side of orange juice next time! It kinda sounds good. 👍🏼 Yuda-ca-budda...how cute is that?! Scratches to Ely! 🤗🐶
Thanks for the tip! The blanket we found is asbestos free, thank goodness. 👍🏼
On the chili debate. I like mine on the side with cornbread. My cornbread has cheese and jalapeno in the middle. My Dad loved macaroni in his chili.... So yeah, variances within a family are a thing...
Daves Workshop Yes, food should not have rules!😁
On a side-note, you can make some really awesome corn bread by taking a Jiffy white cake mix and a Jiffy corn bread mix-- mix them together and add what it says on both packages. Bake in a larger pan. Delicious!
Might have to give that a try!
Good luck!
Great, I try that
Great drone shots! Pistol still seems a little under the weather, but when you couldn't smell the banana bread, I bet she could. Great crumb-in, banana bread and corn bread. I like chili either way,YUM!
Yeah, Pistol is better for sure but still not 100% energy wise. I bet you’re right though, her nose never takes a sick day! 🐶 👃🏼😛
Their stomachs, noses and eyes never rest! Ours is awake a hour before lunch, never taking her eye off me!
Haha that sounds about right! Give sweet Jewels some lovin’ for us! 😍
I think she has chicken nuggets, dancing in her brain! Lol
🤣👍🏼😛
Chili mac sounds great to me with a side of cornmeal!
Yeah!
Chili, Cheese, Corn Chips. I love Cornbread, but that goes with the Beans cooked with a ham bone. Chili either goes with cheese and corn chips, or on a hot dog, with cheese.
Great mod!
Thanks!😉😁
I'm from Wisconsin and yep we put noodles in our chili and ya gotta have the sour cream and other toppings including good sharp cheddar cheese!! Sorry Dave! lol Carey on...
So im assuming weldingplankets are also fire resistant? (Sorry, i know zero about welding)
Sorry forgot to ask. How many miles have you put on your van?
Almost 72K!
Hi, where did you buy your pizza stone? I couldn't find 10inch size...
Daves Workshop the blanket really helps when there is any kind of breeze. Good luck! Let us know if you find any better fixes for it😉
@@CareyOnVagabond I got the stone, came in yesterday, tested it out with a can of fridge biscuits.
Love your channel! Mac Chili all the way!
Heck yeah! 👏🏼
I admire those of you who can eat without consideration of the amount of carbs you're putting away! Beautiful scenery and great music. Be safe!
Well we consider them...then we eat them anyway! 😜
What cooktop burner is that?? You guys are awesome x
It’s a Gas One stove with the Coleman camp oven. Here is a link to our website with links to these and other products we use!
www.careyonvagabond.com/amazon-products
i like what you did. is that analog or digital glass in that timer?
It’s analog. 👍🏼
If you ever decide to sell them let me know, my daughter and I both need one
The footprint of the oven is larger than the stove. Is it wobbly?
It’s not wobbly
What stove are you using? And what size was the stone you put in?
It’s a Coleman camp oven and it’s a pizza stone. Helps a lot! All of the products we use are listed with their amazon link on the products page of our website. (If available from amazon which I believe both of these are😉👍
How long do the little tanks usually last with that oven?
Well honestly we don’t know for sure. Next time we put a new one on there we will keep track. We definitely get multiple bakes out of it. It lasts a lot longer than one would imagine. 👍🏼
Chili with lots of cheese and Fritos so good
Yay Mac and Chili! Both comfort foods!
Yeah!! 👏🏼
Definitely macaroni, yummie. Being creative
Yeah! 😛👍🏼
@@CareyOnVagabond , thanks so much for the reply. I certainly will.
wow Dave awesome job on the cover ...you should patient that cover .....OK not a big fan of Banana bread but Chile and corn bread OMG yes I like the noodle idea but try it with lettuce and corn chips on top with sour cream MMMMmmmm sounds crazy but it is so good......and BTW the road shots are just beautiful....again we love you guys ....hugs and kisses to Pistol
Ummm lettuce, corn chips, sour cream and chili?! Heck YEAH! That sounds so good! Now I’m going to have to make another batch. 😛
LOL always make a double batch LOL
Ha! I always make enough I think
I can freeze some but somehow it all disappears! 🤷♀️😬
:) ya mine does to LOL
Is Pistol still in pain? Pain pills are hard on the kidneys. I can recommend natural and safe if you tell me what it is. Free. Write if you are interested. If he has any other health conditions, let me know. I've worked with herbs free for 30 years.
That little Pistol is just precious!
Awww thank you! We couldn’t agree more! 🐶🤗
love you guys, great video work.
Tucker gets away with more than our four children ever did!
You should patent your insulation idea, and what a cute dog. Did the dog get a taste of the bread?
She usually gets a bite or two of all the goodies that come out of our oven:)
Chili-Mac w/sour cream: Thumbs UP!
Ohhh yeah! 👍🏼😛
Yay!! Mac chili.....yummm....
Yeah!! 😛👍🏼
Yay, for mac chili!
👍🏼😃
I am wondering why competitor Ozark trail who also makes propane stoves like Coleman hasn't created an Ozark trail oven! The price of the Coleman ovens has escalated to $74 to $90 which I feel is too much.
I always say do whatever you like when it comes food. Im a noodle person so if i think it works noodles are going in
Yeah! 👏🏼👏🏼
I was almost 20 years old before I ever had Chili without macaroni. I didn't know there was a difference.
😳🤣🤣🤣
Man that scenery was just rediculous. Marking that one down to see for ourselves.
On the Chili I could do either or.
On Pistol, glad she's doing better.
Cheers guys. 👍
Wasn’t that incredible? And we were the only ones out there hiking! There is a seven mile hike off that last 1/4 mile one we did..it goes through what they call the Bowl of Fire. We want to go back sometime when Pistol is up for it and hike that. Let us know if you venture out that far, would love to see pics. 👍🏼
