I highly disagree that she's a perfect belle. First of all, Belle is a sweet, kind, friendly, and off in her own world type of girl. Emma acted like she owned the place and remember the part when this guy asked belle what she was reading, she was so excited and happy to talk about it, and then when Emma does it, SHE DOES IT WITH NO LIFE IN HER AT ALL. Like I remember watching it with my family and my dad even was like, “she acts like she didn't care at all what the story was about.” I don't hate Emma I just don't think they should have picked her. Disney only picked her so that people would watch it because emMA wATsON is in it.

I also agree, while I love her a Hermione she doesn’t play a good Belle. When I was younger this wasn’t a big deal but now looking back it just wow. I respect the actress and I think she’s great but this wasn’t a good role for her. They should have gone with someone else

I like Emma but I did not like her as belle she just (in my opinion) does not capture the belle energy, in most of belles soft caring emotion scenes became some rude emotionless scenes. And it does not look like making her more independent she already was but the move version took away the caring part of her independence. PS: what even was that autotune.

I disagree, her acting for Belle sucked. Belle is very vulnerable, emotionally expressive, and whimsical, and I found Emma to be boring and wooden in her performance. There just wasn’t much passion and emotion in her acting as Belle

I would never chose a selfie over a chat with Emma! Or any celebrity, honestly! It's so much more meaningful to have a real discussion rather than a quick digital imprint of a memory. There's so much more to life than a screen life. Honestly, most people just want the picture to prove they met the celebrity, a quick route to popularity. But it doesn't matter that way. I'd rather talk with Emma and have no one believe I actually met her than take a quick photo to show everyone. I knew it happened, so it doesn't matter if others believe it happened as well.

What movie did you watch? Emma Watson did not play Belle very well. She gave zero emotion to the role and zero singing skills.
just because kinda have things in common with belle does n't mean that she should play the role. Emma watson was terrible as belle, she could n't sing or act. she changed belles character for the worse sucking all the personality out of her. Emma was the worst. She is only famous because of Harry potter and even in that she was terrible.

She doesn't look like Belle at all. Emma looks more like Belle, I've never thought of Belle as a great beauty. Ironic given her name, I've always though of her as just simply pretty in a village or average people and not very attractive people with bad personalities (except for those 3 blondes; but then again they're generic beauties in appearance) .

They not only have the beautiful pipes and ability to dance gracefully. They are chameleon actors who are bring multifaceted personalities to the characters they play.
Perhaps one day you will check them out and discover the truly magnificent talent that is out there.

The thing with Cinderella is so cool! I didnt know about it til now, but l think Belle is so much more like Emma Watson. Cinderella is just way to passive. Dont get me wrong, l love the movie, but its just the way she kind of accepts that her stepmother and sisters make her a servant in her own house, and doesnt try to stand up to them.

my favorite books...um, beauty and the beast, i have 5 others, but i'm obsessed with beauty and the beast. some reasons why, ever since after i watched the cartoon of beauty and the beast, i have had a rough choice decided who is my favorite disney princess. Belle or Jasmine. Then when i watched the new one in disney, i decided Belle is the one. Belle is my character, my personality...the only thing is i'm more of a writer, instead of a reader. I'm not an actress, but dreaming to be an actress/director/writer of movies and hopefully get an offer at disney. I have been in christmas plays, church choirs but other than that i do act on my own with a friend. we both want the same job, and Theatre is our role in life. I am commented for my beautiful voice, my friends love my stories, etc.

My favorite book collection is "Amulet" though it's actually a graphic novel I LOVE it! And i'm even planning 2 be a director when I grow up and make the saga.
TWO major iconic roles under her belt at only 27. Most actors' careers are finished after one, especially if it happens to be their first. People can say what they want, but there is definitely something special in Emma Watson. I suspect her casting played a pretty big role in how successful Beauty and the Beast has been.

Emma did not embody belle at all. I get she’s a feminist but this is Beauty and the Beast not Emma Watson and the Beast. She tried to make belle much more of a tomboy than she was in the movie. She wouldn’t even wear a corset because she’s a feminist but at the time this movie was set, a corset was a bra.
The corset also helps back support because of the dresses. The dress was light and looked like something I would buy and wear at prom or at a dance. Her singing was very auto tuned and sounded fake. I did not like this belle

Emma Watson is awesome as Belle. I think she added more dimension to her smarts in the sense it's not just book related but also following what she feels is right :) and this makes Belle remain strongly one of my top fave Disney Princesses
