i grew up way up in northern saskatchewan canada,eh :) and our little community of around 700+ people during the summer and it had a theatre of about 100 seats..and we had a lot of westerns..which were always the money makers.and when the community business died the town died and everyone left for south and went to about 95 people..which i loved ..nice and quiet with amazing natural beauty.and my dad took over the theatre and we as a family ran it for awhile until my dad gutted it and we moved in..movies kept coming but it was first come first served to whoever wanted to purchase the film reel and show the movuie at their house basement..westerns were still a money maker..lol..i still would know how to insert a film reel into a projector..classic days..thankyou for your uploads..eh :)
Cool outfit. :) Thanks for sharing the movie.
Thank you so much for sharing. Really miss these movies of the past!
Can't help giggling when I hear chill Wills in this movie as all I think of is him providing the voice of "Francis the talking mule"😂
Thanks for the great memories. Remembered in Sleepy Eye, Mn when in 1952+_ watched westerns in the winter the snow on tv but we were still glued to the tube. Those were the days, now its RUclips, thx. Gone not forgotten thx RUclips.
Hahahaha...good old "Sleepy Peeper"!!! I grew up in Worthington...and used to play against your youth Hockey teams during the 1980's. You guys always had a great program for the size of your town. Yellow and green...if I remember correctly.
I just love those Westerns, brings back memories .
Right as rain on all fronts! Timeless classic. Very well done. Thanks a million for bringing it to us. Looking forward to more great Western Movie classics... Takes me back to my early years in the living room & black & white TV. Nice to see in color. Again; Thanks a bunch..
I love these old westerns! They were headed to California but they started there at Vasquez Rocks close to Newhall Ca right on old highway 6 ( now the 14). That areas been used hundreds of times in movies and TV shows including Star Trek (3 or 4 times if I remember correctly) and other sci-fi shows. A young thin Chill Wills!👍👍👍
Very nice
your exactly right! hundreds of movies videos commercials filmed in those famous rocks they even b uilt the little airstrip about a mile from there in the 40s making it easier to get execs and actors there lots of vineyards in the area now to and yet? NOONESEVERFOUND THEBURRIEDGOLD!! lol!
I've put on a thumbs up like even though I have not yet watched this particular movie BUT because Westerns Always Reflect Something Important... And Often Important Values.
I don’t know Lance Fuller but Chill Wills was in many westerns and I don’t think he ever played a bad guy. Henry Hull was also a regular fixture for many years. His distinctive voice is instantly recognizable. I have fond memories of Sterling Holloway, one of my favorite actors. He played an eccentric inventor in the Superman tv series.
Chill Wills the meanest of the mean men in - "The Deadly Companions", 1961 American western
You're all that's good in this world. Thank you...Thank you...Thank you.🤠👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Chill Wills - a fabulous Academy nominated Character Actor and one of my very favorites - friend of John Wayne's, he played Drago in McClintock.
Beth Bartlett
People, People, People! 🤣💖
I recird & watch Wagon Train every day; very grateful my daughter pays for my channels, especially the Western ones!!
What about Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Rifleman, can't forget those.
love the old westerns in our old farmhouse in stratford upon avon england back in the 70s if john wayne movie was on the telly,it was on of the few times work stopped and the whole family would sit down and watch tea, cake and john wayne bliss
I an very pleased that the film makers showed details of the way that the wagon wheel and axle were repaired,
some serious skills involved as well as some very hard work
Chill Wills one of the best actors of Western movies

great channel! I would bring my .50 Hawken or my .50 cal Kentucky Rifle...but would rather bring my Henry repeater...but the Henry did not exist then! Awe shucks. Thankz for providing these movies, perspectives and values. We need you :)
Thanks
There are a lot of things to consider in transporting Kentucky Rifles with the use of Wagon Train out west , it needs more care due to dangers to the natives in the plains.I just got worried about their travel, though they were left by their group of Wagon. Trains. Good fight with the indian warrior by Mr. Tobias, he won.Iam curious about the Kentucky Rifle , does it kills an enemy in a long range , a hundred feet? I love to have it, although it is a vintage rifle.Iam happy to see another good movie.thank you so much sir!
Easily 100'. Effective to 100 yards and even further. It's a RIFLE, so the ball is spinning. Not as accurate as the Minie' conical bullet, but good.
The muzzle loading aspect huge draw back.
Love ya, Mr. Terry. Always grateful for this particular channel. One of the best! God Bless you, and Happy New Year :)
Thank you very much
great western
I love my Kentucky AR 15
Sweet Hell Fire from Pike!
Thanks for uploading this episode.
Oh yes beautiful movie I love em
Great movie.
Angie LOVES Westernsonthenet!!! Thanx
another one that I can't recall watching. Not marked as me watching it in my western movies bible anyway.
I liked it
John Wayne's dear friend, Chill Willis, Tobias in this movie, was paid next to nothing in this Low Low Budget movie. Shortly afterwards he did start to make money as an Actor, but in Westerns...he loved anything with a Horse!!
Carvin Lambert nobody deserved to be paid for this movie. It was awful! Maybe the worst I’ve ever seen. They couldn’t even attempt to make a woman look pregnant. Joke.
Love Chill Will's! And this Western!
Chill Wills the voice of Francis the talking mule! :)
thank you bob terry!

I love these old westerns but thank god they don't set trip wires that maimed and destroyed so many of the beloved horses back in the day. We finally have laws that prohibit that cruelty in today's films.
Bob Terry is right, you can learn valuable lessons here, girls were girls and men were men.
thank you so much
Entertaining old movie but the reality is that the musket loading Kentucky rifle might of had its advantages in the East among wooded terrain but was hardly an equalizer against a mounted Plains Indian warrior which could let loose probably a dozen arrows in the time it would take to load that rifle and do so with deadly accuracy... now the Colt revolver was another story
You might be a little right 12 weak arrows Kentucky rifle could step out with a great deal of power at 300 yd +and this was before the time of the Colt revolver
@@donaldbell5119those 'weak' arrows killed a crap load of you americans
@@seanreid349 yeah but those murdering thieves lost didn't they what a f****** laugh they had no form governments they were degenerate thieves and murderers this country was not there's those murderers killed a lot of people you're an idiot
muito bom filme que pena que não é dublado em português
Forget the plot, the acting, the actors and the script. Just listen to the score.
So do i from this south african in South Africa
Too much standing around and talking instead of fixing the wagon. Filmed in Vasquez Rocks north of Los Angeles where many TV and western movies were made.
+transformer889... lol, yes but without that broken wheel, there would be no movie plot.
GREAT Movie 🤗
nice movie
Thanks for making these movies available. Love watching them as they are like a window into a distant past. I disagree with you on one thing though: these movies do not provide good values and neither are they “entertainment for the entire family”... they contain some racism and sexism, which young folk should be made aware of.
Pura vida cowboy man great movie
Chill Wills (Tobias) is the one good actor in this flick. The others not so much.
What! You don't like Winnie the Pooh?
Hi Bob ….. big fan here .
GREAT WESTERN WATCH LATER THANKS
Bom filme!
My only criticism is that it should be named Pennsylvania Rifle.
Good start
