Man, you are right. This sucks. I really enjoy this game, but man, I get real tired of getting a preview of a character, but no way to actually get it without spending cash. I don't spend money on games, so there is no way for me to get even the worst character if it is P2P.
It's really shameful of them. Retention is terrible for this game, yet all they are focused on is monetization. Any GM worth their salt would recognize you could produce more revenue by focusing on implementing pity, and QoL changes for the players. This was a perfect opportunity to give another unit for free and increase player engagement and excitement. They took a huge shit on the player base instead.
I just dropped $200 last night and I will say that I regretted it. Not because it broke my bank or anything like that, but because it was absolutely not worth it.
I don’t understand why games went away from giving a bonus to your chances on a 10x draw. I draw 120 divination summons and got a whopping 4 toon pulls… and then got 90 draws in a row with nothing.
Same thing happened last month with a $50 purchase. I requested a refund and then they locked my use of the game until I made another $50 purchase. Almost quit but decided to keep playing.
I am at the point where I am about to quit. Something tells me that the greed of these once great companies is closely becoming their downfall.
A few other rhythm game gachas still do. BangDream and D4DJ are still pretty accessible with their units (Bandori more so).
Tower of God Great Journey is pretty accessible too. You don't need to spend nearly as much to get good at that. For the anniversary of that game (depending on your level) they gave you duplicates which allowed players to max out their current units. They then added a second levelling system which gave even more playability!

Comp for final team wasn't working for me. I used Rufus, Guy, Dhalsim and Elena. Combo chain was Rufus>Elena>Rufus>Dhalsim

Guys you’re looking at this all wrong. These aren’t games. You’ve been fooled. Gotcha Games are Casinos disguised in a Game. They’re Not made with the intentions to be consumer friendly. They’re actually made to do the opposite. They’re meant to be misleading and have an inflated economies with an Artificial currency that forces you to spend money cause there’s no other way intentionally made to earn it in game. Nothing about these F2P are Free or fun for any kid cause everything requires you or encourages you to spend money. What 5-16 works and has money to Support these games? None. So who’s playing these games? Grown ass kids who suck at games or just don’t have the time to get good at games so instead they spend money to Progress further faster.🤦🏽 Then they think that they are somehow better cause they were stupid enough to literally spend money on a Game. Let that sink in. The psychology of it All is a big factor. These companies intentionally target impulsive spenders and what I would call a Grown kid. Honestly real kids don’t get into these types of games cause they can’t afford too. None of my kids play this or can get into these types of games cause of how often they would be having to ask me for money in order to play them. I’m Honestly playing this game cause I get off on making these grown men spend there money trying to out pace me or be ahead but not for long so they spend some more.🤗🤦🏽🤣 Eventually this game is going to go out of business and until then I’m just seeing how far I can push these whales to spend 🤭🤣🤗😅

Love your videos, Love how straight out you are about what they are doing. The pricing is absolutely absurd.
In Ireland, it's €54.99 for Rufus, and that's with 50% off . It's crazy to think they charge €109.99 for a mobile game character and think this is ok. And it's not the first one they've wanted that mad money for. I've stopped spending myself on this game also because of the sheer amount of greed going on.

Imagine expecting most of their player base to pay for Rufus. These devs are out of touch, don't care, are on a set schedule release/pay wise, or even all three. I'm glad I dropped this game. Nothing is changed or will change as far as it goes.

Not talking about units you can SUMMON with currency you can earn in game, talking about pure 100% f2p units
@@Hayzink your definition of FTP in this fashion means that in any game where characters are randomly generated there are almost zero FTP characters. I defy you to find a game with more than one per calendar year in the fashion you have laid out. FTP means earnable without spending. Period,most of the time it involves trading time for progress. Your changing of the standard definition is my point. And you are doing this because they have lied to you time and time again about the future plans of this game. So I understand your anger and frustration. However there is no need to alter the definition of what FTP means because you are legitimately upset with the company.
@urzafrank dokkan battle every month has a new event with a “farmable” non summonable F2P unit.
Disgaea rpg a game I used to cover every month has an event with a f2p non summonable farmable event character.
Dragonball legends is another that springs to mind that has fully f2p non summonable event units with every new event
You asked me to find another game and I just named 3 off the top of my head.
Again there is a difference between f2p accessible units and proper f2p units (also known as welfare units)
By your definition ONLY legend units are not f2p units if we apply it to sfd as you can get both special summon and all master and inferno units without spending (eventually)
@@Hayzink after a small search it seems that none of the primary way to obtain characters in those games you mention is random. It seems that most of the time you grind or farm for the unit you want. Further more it seems that in those games just getting the unit is begining , they must get leveled up. This is much like just getting one or two copies in SFD. Which they currently do. Please correct me and show me if you think I am wrong in that aspect. Using your definition in SFD only free legendaries are "truly ftp". Free legendaries in SFD are fully maxed out free units. No games does this on a regular basis. NONE. This and many other games are made by selling access to the random chances for the units in the game. This means it is from hard to impossible to farm a given unit. Those are the games to compare SFD to. As I said I completely understand being mad at the company for being deceitful and greedy. I just think you defining FTP like means that games like this AFK arena , Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) and others have almost zero FTP units.
@@Hayzink sry but i definitely agree with him. ur trying to put a 3rd label to units. a unit is either f2p or p2w and usually how u determine that is how much time it takes to obtain. fire adon and suit abel are f2p units and u can argue they take less time to get than blanka did.

However, my concept and relationship with money has changed drastically since then. I'm 5775M power right now in game. From what I can tell, there are roughly 4x players at this spend level in the entire SFD population. Regardless, the argument of "the devs should do this, or should have done that or, bla bla bla" is incredibly small minded and rat race focused. They are a business. Either agree to their terms or move on. These tantrums are only designed to create some illusory virtual collusion in *hopes* maybe this one little wish wish will come true. It's beta mindset at its finest and I'd compare it to the idea that a hot supermodel will one day get down on one knee and propose to you randomly and out of the blue. It just doesn't happen. True men don't bish and whine about how hard, how impossible, how unachievable or how unfair something is. We make things happen, period. Adapt, overcome. Let that sink in.

Abel and adon are not f2p units, they are accessible for f2p players yes but they are summonable units.
Fblanka is the only f2p unit in the game, that’s a fact.

If you look up the definition of FTP, it's basic access, which we do have for those characters. Plus other popular content creators call them FTP in their tier lists. FB was accessible without summoning.
Trashing as in, you got it in for the Devs, that's clear not just this vid. This is your opinion not truth. I think the Devs are ok. They are constantly releasing features the recent FTP characters are awesome and there's always new events.
