Part of being a good bassist or musician in my opinion is understanding a wide range of styles. The rhytminc pattern of Salsa will be a very good challenge for you to understand displaced accents, and by conequence, "groove". Let me know if you have any question. Song is in C# Minor (with some C# Harmonic Minor substitutions) , relative key to E Major (with 4 sharps, F#, C#, G#, D#), most of the content in Salsa patterns are just the tonic, 5ths an octave of each chord, also considering 3rds and more:
