Murmansk and Vladivostok are Russian ports open year round that aren't bottlenecked by Turkey and Denmark. Murmansk is kept ice free year round by the tail ends of the north Atlantic current. Actually the Baltic ports like St Petersburg aren't even ice free year round, and from December to May Murmansk, far to the north, replaces St Petersburg as the primary port of the Northwest. truly a mangificent geographical location
Not really
Surprised no reference to (1) the rapidly collapsing Turkish economy, which will certainly curtail Ankara's ambitions to becoming a regional power, and (2) increasing tensions with Greece and Cyprus, leading to the former's military integration with the US and France.
I was thinking of talking about the Lira, but firstly I’m not an economist, and secondly I feel like that could’ve dated the video a bit

Super video! A Turkish professor who worked in America once stated: "Turkey is like a transvestite; it's mind and body are in conflict." I couldn't have said it better. I will check out the language program who sponsored you. I've been here 8 years and still can't speak the language. lol

1:50 edirne is irrelevant and tiny, there are way more bigger cities in the area.
You should talk about how Turkey is exporting in large quantities audiovisual media all over the world, specially to Hispanic America.
Very good and informative, but sorry turned off when the commercials arrived...

“Heroes who shed their blood and lost their lives! You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours. You, the mothers, who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.”

Great content, the vid was on point. But I would like to point out that bothers me. In every video, chat, talk everybody is constantly saying that Turkey is %99.9 muslim, %95 muslim. This is not a good representation of a country. Recently it has been published that out of each 40 people 7 of them categorize themselves as non-believers or atheists. Thank you

Hey why's you have to call out "nowhere Oklahoma" like that? We have German and Spanish classes
One big problem I have with this vid is the complete silence on Cyprus. Turkey owns the northern half of the island and it's still an ongoing major geopolitical issue.
Turkey doesn’t own the northern part dont ever say this infront of turkish cypriots as most of them are in favor of reunion and against annexation by Turkey
You can’t try to ethnically cleansed a minority in Cyprus, and then when the country they are from comes to protect them similar to what Bosnians went through with Serbs, it becomes a problem in the eyes of the Greek Cypriots. There was a referendum held years ago to join both Turkish & Greek Cypriots but the Orthodox side didn’t want to join. Therefore, Northern Turkish Republic of Cyprus it is and will continue to be. Period.
Maybe it's because the guy who controls this channel is Turk or is related to them in terms of ancestry
@@Localmozzy NCTR is an indepandant country (not a recognized one but a one) and nobody in Turkey or Northern Cyprus seeks "reunification" with each other at all but yeah some Turkish cypriots wants to join EU via unification with the south not to say it is very popular or anything.
