So, I've read that movies choose top colleages on purposes becuase they dont want to promote smaller collages, and cause people to pick based on a movie. They choose collages more difficult to get into or more expensive for that reason.

Well I’m actually shocked it didn’t end up with Lee confessing he’s always wanted her because that would be the only thing that makes sense given the nonsense rules and him basically controlling her life. The only thing that made sense throughout the whole movie was when she told him he acted like a 5 year old.
Obviously, he was in love with her. And probably still is. But I don't think he was controlling her life. They made these plans together. Why wouldn't he be upset that she flip-flops all the time? They were tight friends.
Everyone be controlling her tbh but everyone is kind of annoying like there is so many things they could’ve done I mean in the kissing booth 3 Lee was actually pretty okay and they did make these plans and stuff so of course he’d be mad if he mad tooo and sad.

Why do these movies feel the need to show the protagonist, who seem to do absolutely nothing about school, “getting into” these prestigious schools? Not only will it mislead/set a high bar for young kids, but it is honestly insulting to those who work their asses off to get to these schools.
exactly! i just went through the admissions process last year and it seriously wasn't easy. and now they act like getting into Berkeley is a walk in the park...
And in india it is 100 times harder to get into prestigious government colleges 😂 that you're not even supposed to watch movies like these or go out or have a games period
Because the viewers' imagination of being the girl who is rich, has a 'perfect' bf, nice live, and ofc accepted into high class university is something that unreachable irl thus making watch it on screen as a better choice for some people. If we can't be like that, watching a privilege dream-like girl on tv/show will be enough to satisfied our desire

Marco wasn’t right to get in a way of a relationship. But he fought for someone he loved. in the end he accepted that it just wasn’t meant to be. The ending should have shown him, and that he finally found the one for him in New York City. He deserves it because he truly knows how to love

You know what would have been a better coming-of-age plot? Not getting into any of those two prestigious universities, being criticized by her family for that, friends drifting apart, boyfriend breaking up, feeling isolated and depressed by seeing others move on, and having realistic goals to work for while also struggling with a part time job. And then, after this period of darkness, she finally makes a comeback a few years later, while also having body image and mental heath issues. Perhaps, she finally gets accepted into one of those universities for a Masters or something. And despite of having student debts, she manages to pay for it. That's a movie I would like to watch.

@Tatiana May it is a book called 'death of a king' its not a movie or anything but it is so well written that it should be I highly recommend and the author is so interactive with the readers like they reply to comments. the author also has a spotify playlist for the book which you could check out to get the vibe of the book. it is definitely a darker book and will make you want to crawl in a hole and cry but it is so freakin good that it is worth it. it also has a sequel!! The playlist I think is called DOAK/ROAQ. ROAQ stands for the sequel book Rise of a Queen

Jacob loathes these movies but you have to remember he filmed the first movie in 2017 when he was just 20 and first starting out as an actor. He didn’t want to appear in the other 2 movies but unfortunately he’d signed a 3 picture deal so couldn’t break the contract. But at least they filmed the second and third movies at the same time.
