My 4 yr old niece found a musical card at Walmart that played The Golden Girls theme. She HAD to have it & she played it till the battery died! She sang, " My heart is true, you're a pal and a Konkee Donk." Wouldn't Betty love that story?
In 1954, Betty White had her own variety/ talk show and she was warned not to have a Black tap dancer named Arthur Duncan appear on the show. Betty responded by saying "I'm sorry, you know, he stays....,Live with it." She had Arthur appear as much as possible (a couple of times) and her show was canceled that same year. Betty was a total badass! I love it! Rest in peace forever Betty. The world will miss you.

I read an opinion piece that a lady wrote that she was offended that they said Betty white was like "America's Grandmother", meaning she didn't even have progeny of her own and she should be seen as more than just a old timey maternal figure because she actually had a career which was groundbreaking, She went on to say, no one is going to say that about a man who dies, calling him "America's Grandfather"!! ... Well... Very shortly after, Bob Saget dies, and the headlines read America's Father (on Full House) dies ... I feel like her words came back to bite her 🤭
Jesus Christ, walked on this earth and he is alive! and tells us to repent so we could live with joy. No human is perfect not one. I liked Betty White, But she said her occasional dirty joke and I'm sure she got angry. We all need to repent.
This was a great tribute to Betty. I'm heartbroken that she is gone but thankful for all of the years we got with her.
