Elephants are very loving and have deep emotions when it comes to love. They will stay with their loved ones for days even after they have died. And some elephants will die of a broken heart from their loved ones dying as well. They have very deep loving emotions. How anyone can hurt these beautiful baby’s for ivory is just so heart breaking. There’s a great book I have called ‘When Elephants Weep’……it came out a while ago but it’s got some awesome stories/information in it, about many different animals, not just elephants …..I know that they also will come back to the grave sites and kind of coddle the bones, picking them up and turning them over and running their trunks over them……it’s the elephant equivalent of sitting peacefully, reminiscing and meditating over a Lived ones grave…..we Humans rate intelligence in animals as if WE are the supreme dominant species but I believe there are several species that may seriously be more advanced than us…..maybe not ace-ing a Trigonometry type of intelligence but definitely a kind of “Big Picture”, what life is all about, a higher Spiritual intelligence

One of my wife’s and my fondest memories was at a park in Vietnam. They had a young elephant chained and with a carrier on its back, used for rides. We bought sugar came and simply stood next to it and stroked and fed it. The smiles and joy were life altering and lasting. They say an elephant never forgets. I hope this elephant will always remember our love.
