  • Not every call involves epic winching.
December 16th was one of those nights... around 4:30 PM Wednesday we received a call for a jeep TJ that had slid off the trail while trying to turn around. They had encountered a snow drift on Missouri Gulch road NW of Woodland Park, CO and decided not to go through it.
We confirmed the route taken in by the stuck party and the team began heading their way to locate them. Some of the team had as much as a 2 1/2 hour drive each direction on this mission.
The team was on scene by 2200 hours and began rigging the winch pull to get the jeep back on the road. Once recovered, an assist tow out to the main road was done, as the trails had frozen back over after sunset.
The last responder arrived back at their home by 1 AM Thursday the 17th.
