I had a very similar spot on my face all of my life. It started as a tiny freckle but grew to the diameter of a dime as I got old. I just ignored it and was a little scared because I thought it would be a huge surgery to remove- or worried it would be something bad. Finally went to my dermo to check out and her assistant shaved it off in literally 2 seconds. lmao. No scars, cuts, anything. It was nothing. (no trace it was ever there).

From what I've read in the forums are that the lights are to keep away pack rats and other animals.
I look forward to watching how you build the overhead storage in the kitchen area. I also want to build that same overhead storage in my airstream.
I think you can remove lacquer with denatured alcohol or acetone prior to sanding to make sanding easier. I could be wrong.
Why wouldn't they put a left swing door on it in the first place? BTW I'm in Hot Springs glad you had a good time here!

Best guess as to why the finish wore less on the quarter/rift sawn vs flat sawn…..likely due to vertical expansion. Correct me if I’m wrong….

I think that’s a great thought but it’s veneered so there shouldn’t really be any expansion. It might be a mystery forever. The flat sawn is more porous so maybe I just didn’t get good coverage with the lacquer and that moisture worked its way into that porous wood and under the finish.
When I was living on my boat, I had similar issues with the vista windows, there were plexiglass inserts that were tinted or blackout for them, it was nice too have options, but you have so many that might not be an option, what about a privacy film?

You do a nice job on your work, also everyone on this channel could you say a prayer for my dad, he’s got cancer , leukemia. And it’s not looking good he was in the hospital for two months going on three, tomorrow he’s going to be coming home for a week or so… please pray for him. That’s all what he needs right now more than ever.

it's odd that airstream puts their doors on handed that way. nobody else does, the dorrs on the trailers that we have owned all swing the other way, "into the wind" so to speak.
recently, here in ontario, a woman was killed while riding in their airstream when the door came open and she was trying to close it. this was on a freeway at high speed. riding in a trailer is illegal in canada and most of the us anyway and imho downright dumb
I heard about that…very sad accident. It really doesn’t make sense why they swing that way. I’ve heard of so many circumstances where the door gets blown off the camper and destroyed.
What I like about Andy Rawls ? I see these guys going $25000 in the hole making a spray room, $10,000 for a Whatever , split bench and blah, blah! Andy turns out pieces that are above even some of thee most pro carpenter/ furniture makers! And he does it w/ o all that HS ? Not BS cause BS is good for the garden ! HS is too acidic and no good even for the flies! Andy does no HS in the shop!
I am a finish carpenter/ cabinet maker ( I mean small one offs like vanities, under mount ext ., blah blah) I say to say Andy is the real deal a craftsman getting it done at a high level!
