Arcane could have just been a simple adaption of a video game about two cities at war and two sisters who grew apart. But instead they made it the most gut-wrenching, spectacular story I've ever seen. The music, the scenery, everything is perfect down to the last details and this show deserves all the love it got.
It felt like in season 1 they decided to make a story with a league of legends backdrop. And then decided to make league of legends the front of the show in season 2. except she is not happy.... there are hints of her going dark, and the ending hints that she will be creating some sort of hextech, and i am betting my money on time machine, because the Ekko in the alternate timeline was already working on some sort of z-drive prototype, that's why the Ekko that went back had things to base his design on, now they have made a working one, and at the end Powder reviews her stash of hex-crystal, it only make sense if she will create a time machine of her own to go back and save Vi, and repeat the entire Arcane cycle, turning it into a endless loop.
They literally managed to include everything that could have been done for an end of serie : Act 1: The equivalent of what could have been a classic (cliché?) ending with the conclusion of the Jinx/Vi battle. Act 2: A glimpse of what could have been a happy ending (if we ignore the final minutes). Act 3: The alternate universe + The True Ending.
Time with the alternate powder helped ekko heal from the wounds with jinx and now he only sees powder. Sad boi at the end but I think certified blessed boi when everything pans out.
I absolutely did. And prior to watching S2 I assumed they were going to have to kill Jinx. But then they set up a very eloquent manner in which she did not have to die. The rest is history however.

The quote I'll never get over: "Silco thinks he made Jinx... but he didn't. You did." This is such a masterpiece, and so is this show. I think Arcane might be a story (a piece of art, really) I'll never be able to forget or move past. An '8th wonder of the world' kind of feeling.
Powder/Jinx, one of the most tragic and well-written characters in the Arcane series. Wanting to prove herself that she can help her family yet, unknowingly getting Mylo and Claggor killed. Got taken in by Silco, grew up and was living in her fantasy, unable to move on from her trauma that happened ever since Vi abandoned her once. Had Isha as her new little sister, found out Vander was alive, lost her little sister later on as Jinx got depressed and in the end, sacrificed herself as Powder ending it all with a bang!
God, this season was a rollercoaster of pain and emotion and bittersweet love. I’m glad to have been able watch these characters live their lives, and in the end, stand side by side together. Jinx deserves her happiness… in every universe.
I think Arcane is one of the best TV series ever and Jinx is my favourite character. The series as a whole is masterpiece of animation, storytelling, music & characters. 💙

To think this is the announcement of cinema that Riot is willing to develop is spectacular. Loved the show because the cinematics as a kid thrust me into modern art and entertainment. Thank you for your appreciation of this amazing story.

Arcane by itself is mindblowing, but wow. You were able to highlight its strongest themes so brilliantly. I love how you used moments and quotes that are less “popular” in fan discourse, it was very effective in showing where Jinx’s mind was at throughout the story. Amazing work.

The issue for me is that they shifted the focus in Season 2 to the dangers of Hextech, even though there was nothing inherently bad about it in Season 1. The real problem was how Hextech was being used. Instead of continuing the compelling Piltover vs. Zaun storyline, they turned it into a cliché “Hextech invasion” narrative reminiscent of a White Walker plot. Season 2 should have stayed focused on the Piltover vs. Zaun conflict. Piltover could have emerged victorious, forcing Zaun to accept defeat. The chembarons would take control, and Silco’s vision for independence would collapse under the weight of his own hubris. However, Ambessa would step in to strike a deal with Zaun: Noxus would trade food and wealth in exchange for weapons and monsters. Ambessa would also give Zaun their independence by pulling some strings. This would lead to Zaun thriving-but at a terrible cost. Meanwhile, Mel would awaken her latent powers and leave with Ambessa for Noxus, ensuring her mother stays far from Piltover. Before departing, she entrusts Jayce with the responsibility of safeguarding Piltover. Disillusioned by the turn of events, Viktor would transform into the Machine Herald, dedicated to protecting the weak in Zaun from the tyranny of the chembarons. Though evil and injustice may seem to have prevailed, the fight for good never truly ends, as there will always be those who rise to challenge the darkness.

She isn't the hero of Zaun, she IS Zaun. That's why silco wouldn't give her up. She embodies everything that Zaun is, damaged, traumatized, scarred, but also filled with the will to survive, ingeniuity, tenacity, Zaun is the is thematically the Trickster. The hero of zaun would be like ekko, though in this series he's part of a third group.

Daaaaaamn. As always, your videos are deeply poignant and enthralling. With Jinx being so much more in Arcane than just the video-game crazy explosion girl, this emphasizes the nuance and internal conflict and depth of emotion that the character embodies. However... Am I the only one who interpreted the end of the series, with Caitlyn looking at the blueprints of the Hexgate tower, how the central shaft connected to the airship docks, and then the airship flying away into the wild blue, as a possibility that Jinx somehow slipped out of drone!Warwick's grasp and managed to escape, to find freedom at last? To find a way to fulfil that vow she made as a child way back in season 1 episode 1, that someday she was "gonna fly in one of those things" (an airship)?
Yeah she's alive, but that's part of breaking the cycle. She can walk away from the family "identity" while Vi can't, that's the power of Jinx not being 1:1 Powder. Vi realizes I believe too in that final fight with Vanderwick when Jinx saves her. They'll be apart for now but chance may bring them back together eventually.

The only problem I had with this, is that it should have been used to affirm Jinx that she doesn't need to die in order for things to become right. That voice in the back of our heads will always be there. She doesn't have to die for atonement.

Can we hope to see something about Ekko, the boy savior ? It's my favourite character of the show ! And with the 7th episode we have so much more on him!
I have a theory: Singed was able to get Warwick from Vander, as his will to live was too strong to let him go. But Vander's will to live came from the desire to protect his daughters at all costs. One cannot exclude the other. Just as it cannot be ruled out that Warwick, while maintaining the mechanical "skin", has basically returned to the same Beast we saw in the prison. It could be possible, in my opinion, that the same thing happened again that happened when Warwick captured Jinx on that occasion: he recognized her and freed her (to escape into the tunnels). Since it is practically obvious that POWDER survived, I think it is very likely that the same thing happened (off-screen). Warwick let Powder go and she was able to glitch into the tunnels investigated by Cait at the end. Ella Purnell herself, when asked "Is Jinx really dead" said she "didn't know" with smiles. I believe it is very likely that at least one of the three upcoming Riot/Fortiche productions will continue their story. Jinx is dead. Powder lives. It would be very interesting to see a completely new character, unrelated to the lore of the game. Because, deep down, we all knew what to expect from Jinx in the series. But from a Powder, who could perhaps meet Lux and heal her wounds with her friendship? After all, who said that she is gone forever, and that the sisters will never see each other again, perhaps in a place far from Piltover where they will "continue the battle"?

Do you know what act 3, especially Viktor, reminded me of ? "Digimon: Frontier", that's what. I will never understand why that was the most hated season. I hope my comment and this series help people give that anime one more chance.

Everything except the ending, which could've been incredibly more spectacular, but at least it wasn't bad.

I am so glad they gave us the alternate universe episode. That way at least we can imagine a happy life for Powder/Jinx.

The quote I'll never get over: "Silco thinks he made Jinx... but he didn't. You did." This is such a masterpiece, and so is this show. I think Arcane might be a story (a piece of art, really) I'll never be able to forget or move past. An '8th wonder of the world' kind of feeling.
Powder/Jinx, one of the most tragic and well-written characters in the Arcane series. Wanting to prove herself that she can help her family yet, unknowingly getting Mylo and Claggor killed. Got taken in by Silco, grew up and was living in her fantasy, unable to move on from her trauma that happened ever since Vi abandoned her once.
Had Isha as her new little sister, found out Vander was alive, lost her little sister later on as Jinx got depressed and in the end, sacrificed herself as Powder ending it all with a bang!
God, this season was a rollercoaster of pain and emotion and bittersweet love. I’m glad to have been able watch these characters live their lives, and in the end, stand side by side together. Jinx deserves her happiness… in every universe.
I think Arcane is one of the best TV series ever and Jinx is my favourite character. The series as a whole is masterpiece of animation, storytelling, music & characters. 💙
Arcane is an amazing show. It will be remembered as one of the greatest shows ever made. It's sad that there's not going to be more seasons after season 2.

To think this is the announcement of cinema that Riot is willing to develop is spectacular. Loved the show because the cinematics as a kid thrust me into modern art and entertainment. Thank you for your appreciation of this amazing story.

The issue for me is that they shifted the focus in Season 2 to the dangers of Hextech, even though there was nothing inherently bad about it in Season 1. The real problem was how Hextech was being used. Instead of continuing the compelling Piltover vs. Zaun storyline, they turned it into a cliché “Hextech invasion” narrative reminiscent of a White Walker plot.
Season 2 should have stayed focused on the Piltover vs. Zaun conflict. Piltover could have emerged victorious, forcing Zaun to accept defeat. The chembarons would take control, and Silco’s vision for independence would collapse under the weight of his own hubris. However, Ambessa would step in to strike a deal with Zaun: Noxus would trade food and wealth in exchange for weapons and monsters. Ambessa would also give Zaun their independence by pulling some strings. This would lead to Zaun thriving-but at a terrible cost.
Meanwhile, Mel would awaken her latent powers and leave with Ambessa for Noxus, ensuring her mother stays far from Piltover. Before departing, she entrusts Jayce with the responsibility of safeguarding Piltover. Disillusioned by the turn of events, Viktor would transform into the Machine Herald, dedicated to protecting the weak in Zaun from the tyranny of the chembarons. Though evil and injustice may seem to have prevailed, the fight for good never truly ends, as there will always be those who rise to challenge the darkness.

She isn't the hero of Zaun, she IS Zaun. That's why silco wouldn't give her up. She embodies everything that Zaun is, damaged, traumatized, scarred, but also filled with the will to survive, ingeniuity, tenacity, Zaun is the is thematically the Trickster. The hero of zaun would be like ekko, though in this series he's part of a third group.

Daaaaaamn. As always, your videos are deeply poignant and enthralling. With Jinx being so much more in Arcane than just the video-game crazy explosion girl, this emphasizes the nuance and internal conflict and depth of emotion that the character embodies.
However...
Am I the only one who interpreted the end of the series, with Caitlyn looking at the blueprints of the Hexgate tower, how the central shaft connected to the airship docks, and then the airship flying away into the wild blue, as a possibility that Jinx somehow slipped out of drone!Warwick's grasp and managed to escape, to find freedom at last? To find a way to fulfil that vow she made as a child way back in season 1 episode 1, that someday she was "gonna fly in one of those things" (an airship)?

Yeah she's alive, but that's part of breaking the cycle. She can walk away from the family "identity" while Vi can't, that's the power of Jinx not being 1:1 Powder. Vi realizes I believe too in that final fight with Vanderwick when Jinx saves her. They'll be apart for now but chance may bring them back together eventually.

The only problem I had with this, is that it should have been used to affirm Jinx that she doesn't need to die in order for things to become right. That voice in the back of our heads will always be there. She doesn't have to die for atonement.

I have a theory: Singed was able to get Warwick from Vander, as his will to live was too strong to let him go.
But Vander's will to live came from the desire to protect his daughters at all costs.
One cannot exclude the other.
Just as it cannot be ruled out that Warwick, while maintaining the mechanical "skin", has basically returned to the same Beast we saw in the prison.
It could be possible, in my opinion, that the same thing happened again that happened when Warwick captured Jinx on that occasion: he recognized her and freed her (to escape into the tunnels).
Since it is practically obvious that POWDER survived, I think it is very likely that the same thing happened (off-screen).
Warwick let Powder go and she was able to glitch into the tunnels investigated by Cait at the end.
Ella Purnell herself, when asked "Is Jinx really dead" said she "didn't know" with smiles.
I believe it is very likely that at least one of the three upcoming Riot/Fortiche productions will continue their story.
Jinx is dead. Powder lives. It would be very interesting to see a completely new character, unrelated to the lore of the game. Because, deep down, we all knew what to expect from Jinx in the series. But from a Powder, who could perhaps meet Lux and heal her wounds with her friendship?
After all, who said that she is gone forever, and that the sisters will never see each other again, perhaps in a place far from Piltover where they will "continue the battle"?
