Hey Meghana, thanks for your wishes. This year's admission process was insane. Last few decision months were completely filled with ups and downs🥲 Hope you got into your dream college😊
I am applying for yhe software engineering course at SJSU which is not as competitive as the CS course. According to my research students with cgpa > 7.7 are easily getting into SJSU's SE course
@@vedanthbaliga7686 The differnce b/w SE vs CS? In SE you won't be learning any core computer science topics like operating systems, computer networks etc. Only things related to working at an organization (software development cycle, basic programming etc) If you want to learn, SE is not a good course. If you are willing to learn everything by yourself and just need to enter san jose(silicon valley) then doing SE from SJSU is fine.
16!, boy you don’t trust yourself 😂. Guys please save yourself from applying to more than 8 colleges. That’s how at least you can focus on what you really want.
Hehe, I too would suggest to apply in 8 colleges only. But it is not like i don't trust myself. The only reason I would suggest for 8 is because filling up 16 forms is hectic af and costly too. I have only applied to 2-3 safe universities and all the others are moderate/ ambitious one. You would be knowing that universities in us consider our holistic profile and not only the cgpa.. I have seen people who have got admitted in cmu but have faced rejections from nyu, and usc. I don't want to live with a regret that had I applied to an ivy league the scenario would have been completely different. Anyways, let's keep that aside😅 Best of luck for you masters journey Abid😊
Lmaao, I was lucky enough I guess😅 Btw I applied to 6 more universities after getting an admit from ASU..so they have uploaded the LOR for 22 colleges🤣🤣
In job perspective what should be on number 1(keeping Skills on 1 by default) in between university raking and location to be specific New York location and which are good University in New York
If you want universities specific to new york only according to job opportunities then I would rate it like this 1) cornell and columbia 2) nyu courant and stony brook and RIT 3) Suny Buffalo and nyu tandon 4) Stevens , Syracuse Education quality wise RIT is rated below tandon and buffalo. But it has a co-op program, which would give you good job opportunities.... NOTE : the fees at RIT is huge.but then again, they provide good scholarships.😅 I hope this answers your question.. Best of luck for you masters journey😊
For most of the colleges i paid the application fees. For some i had the application fees waiver code.. There is a video called "costly mistakes" on my channel where i have talked about this only
Hello any idea on how is university of houston main campus and university of South Florida for masters in Computer science ?? Are these good decent options??
Hey Janakiram, Both the universities are well reputed in US as well as among the indian community. You should apply in these Are they decent? If your main goal of studying in us is to find a job there and earn a whole lot of money, then any reputed college will work out.. The main reason is that the companies don't care much about your graduation college and you'll have to work by yourself to acheive this goal.. Hope the very best for you 😊
Does ASU MCS course requires LoRs? In official site it says LoRs are required only for Phd programs. Can I apply without LoRs? Will it affect my chances?
Hey Mina, LORs are not needed for ASU's masters in computer science program. While filling up the application, there is no option to submit your lor. So no one will be able to upload their lor..therefore this won't affect your chances at all
@@BabuaChalaAmreeka Thanks brother. One last question regarding ASU application. I want to be considered for both MCS and MS in Software Engineering. If I don't get into one I want to be considered for another. Do I need to pay for and submit 2 different applications?
@@user-zz1wu4gz5c 1st) As per my understanding yes you can apply to both. And no extra cost will be required. I am from Electrical department with 8.1 cgpa in tier 1 universities... But I wasted 3 years of time for govt . Job preparation. Can I get CS in any universities for masters spring???
Hey Prem, 8.1 cgpa is good enough to get a decent cs university. The most important thing would be justifying your purpose in the sop..why are you suddenly interested in a masters degree..why cs major..have you done any projects related to cs.. It will take a couple of weeks to think about these answers. If you're able to come up with something then definitely you'll get good admits. All the best for your future endeavors 😊
@@BabuaChalaAmreeka bro how could Satya Nadella made an excellent career despite being from a very safe school .. university of Wisconsin Milwaukee takes everyone in
Hey Sanju, for ms cs it is more like 50k of tuition fees for 2 years. And 10-20k of living expense. So overall without any scholarship it would cost around 60-70k usd

Hey birdy, I will agree that it is a little late now. But if you have already taken your GRE; Toefl/IELTS test. Then you may apply to some of the good colleges in time. If you haven't taken these test then try to complete both in a week. It will take you another week to prepare your statement of purpose. And lastly you will also have to request 3 of your college professors/ office manager to write a letter of recommendation for you. There are many reputed colleges like UPenn, northeastern university, UChicago etc where the deadline is in or after march.. You can connect with me on insta for detailed conversation. Ig: nikeight
Hey Rohith, it depends. Filling application is very hectic, on top of that you would require LOR for all the applications. An average student applies for 6-8 universites (2 safe,2 moderate,2 ambitious) . But I think that, if we are going to pay 50Lakhs during the college period, why not pay 40-50K extra and try our luck in good colleges.
