Helpful video. The manual is pretty useless and doesn’t describe force mode very well. This helped me understand it and it worked perfectly on my lithium ion antigravity battery in my motorcycle. It’s now charging like normal. Nice little unit and cheaper then the one from the battery manufacturer.
holding for 5 secs does not work for me i never get all the loghts flashing .. it just gies to 6v which i can select reair from this .. what am i doing wrong?
Came here with the same problem. By my understanding with this video is if the battery is below voltage the charger does not turn on at all. If you’re in the situation like me I’m getting the 25% light lighting up so it’s not at the level force charge needs to activate. But mines been charging for 5hrs and still only on 25% To add. Someone here mentions to enter force charge before connecting. I did that and it went into force charge (I have no way currently to check battery voltage). As of now it’s finally passed the 25% indicator
This instruction isn't 100% correct, for some you need to enter force mode BEFORE attaching to the battery, only when all lights are flashing do you attach to the battery THEN press mode again...
@NOCO how to finish charging correctly? remove the plug from the socket? Can I first press the mode button to return to standby and then unplug it from the socket? or maybe something else? in the case of connection, it is simple - first the crocodile clips to the battery and then connect the plug to the power supply and select the mode... but how to safely disconnect/end charging?
Hi, what is the voltage for force mode? on my multimeter, whatever the force mode is on 12v, 12vAGM/Lithium or even 6V, the output is always 19.6v? could you confirm that? or i got a faulty unit?
That is expected for Force Mode. After the 5-minute Force Mode is complete, the charger output will change as the regular charge begins for whichever mode you had selected.
I’ve done this several times to put it into force mode, it flashes the % bar at the top indicating that it’s in repair mode. After about 3 mins it immediately turns off again and the power light is solid. Is there any way to stop that? I’ve been trying this the last 24 hours and that’s all it keeps doing. It doesn’t seem to want to charge it for more than a few mins.
Greetings from Ukraine. Received as a gift Noco G10. However, I could not start it on any battery. The device blinks the red minimum charge indicator and goes into standby mode. Cyclically returns to charge mode, blinks again with minimum charge and goes into standby mode. And so on until the power is disconnected. The Boost mode is also not available. There is no service. There is no information on the type of breakdown. Have you seen any mention of this behavior of the Noco G10? Thank you very much for your time.

Hi! I bought a noco genius 2 ah charger. The battery I have is a gel NPG 12v-40ah. Which mode to choose to charge this battery on a 12v or 12v AGM charger?
The GENIUS5 will automatically desulfate at the beginning of every lead-acid charge cycle. It also has a manually selectable 12V Repair Mode which is a 4-hour dedicated repair helpful for heavily sulfated batteries.
@@NOCO can you re-repeat this proces with repair - and does that helsp or unhelps the battery to recharge itself ? - Also , anothe question, after repairing mode - you have said - that if Noco in the end of that process returns to orange power light again - if process fails. - So what light should I see when all went fine ? This means that the charger is able to detect your battery. Force Mode can only be accessed if the battery is depleted below 1V. If the battery has more than 1V on it, the charger will be able to detect it and charge it in any of the charge modes normally, thus there is no reason to "force" the charge using Force Mode.
Good video, thanks for the information. A question, what happens if I charge a 200ah battery with the Noco 5 (battery capacity 120ah)? Does it just take longer to load? or does it not charge completely? Thanks
If the charger allowed you to select 6V, that means your battery wasn't depleted low enough for Force Mode to be needed, so the charger will not allow Force Mode to be activated. If your battery is not a 6V battery, you'll need to use the Mode button to select the appropriate charging mode for it.
No matter how long i hold it will not go into repair mode?? I just bought this off Amazon. Manual doesn't help. It says hold 5 secs? Vid says 7 secs? Neither working?
it's also not working for me. It was pulsing 25% for 10+ hours, so tried to enter force mode. It just changes to 6v, then back to standby. Also didnt work to start holding from 12v mode. What does that mean when the device shows 6v and doesn't enter force mode?
@@h4xnoodle when holding it, when it gets to 6v click the button again to go up to repair mode. Hopefully ours isn't defective? Hope this helps
Force Mode can only be enabled if the battery has less than 1V on it, which would make it undetectable to the charger. It's only purpose is to "force" the charger to start charging an undetectable battery. If the battery voltage is higher than 1V, then the charger can detect it and there is no need for Force Mode thus Force Mode cannot be enabled. If your charger is able to go into 6V mode, that means it detects the battery that it's connect to, so there's no need for Force Mode.
To enter Repair Mode on the GENIUS5, press and hold the Mode button until the 6V Mode lights up. Then let go of the Mode button, and single-press the Mode button to move out of 6V Mode and into Repair Mode.
We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your charger. If you're not able to change modes and the charger stays in Standby, check the inline fuse and battery connection. Or, the battery may be too depleted for the charger to "see," but you can use Force Mode to get the charge started. If you're still having trouble, please contact NOCO Support directly on the NOCO website.
