    That was great Kev.
Don’t blame you taking more rather than less as it’s better to atleast have it just in case the weather does change 👍

Great video as always mate. I don’t get people obsession with being ultra light when camping. Personal id rather carry a few extra pounds and know im going to be comfortable and know the kit is bomb proof. But everyone to their own 👍🏻

@@bobbyball6671 cheers. I think I'll still to a bigger pack for future camps. I'm still working out whether I want a 1 or 2 person tent for comfort etc.

@@sears4394 this is true! Especially as winter draws in and you spend a long time in your tent. You want a few comforts then.

A smaller bag is great for an overnighter or a 2 days camp. I use the Helikon-Tex Raccoon Mk2 pack for such ventures and everything I need fits in easily, Plus on cooler spring and autumn nights I have task specific Molle pouches that i can add to it to give me a few more litres and options.

@@pixelfascination sounds good. I've got rid of a lot of gear lately including most of my backpacks. Settled on a Sierra Designs Flex Capacitor 40-60l to be my main bag.

@@TheWalkingKev I do like the new Sierra Designs equipment. I wasn't taken by their earlier designs as the colour schemes were far too teletubby for me.

@@TheWalkingKev The only time I ever got moved on wildcamping was when I went with a friend who went in the SD Covert 2 tent, It was nowhere near stealthy, in fact a blind man could have seen it in thick fog on the darkest night ever. 🤣

Can't really get my head around bivies. Basically they weigh too much for the size of them. Looking on their website that one is 795g for £480. Spend an extra £100, or less and you can have a spacious (comparatively) tent that weighs over 200g less. Also with a tent you are not getting that feeling of a coffin. Please tell me I'm overlooking something, I must be. Thanks for the vid, always nice and calmly made.

@@affalaffaa I don't think you're overlooking anything really. For the RRP and weight of this one you can get some spacious and lightweight tents. Maybe the only thing this Bivy would offer is durability and maybe safer in bad weather as it's so low to the ground. Whereas ultralight tents could be more delicate?

You can bivvy in places you'd never get a tent pitched
