- FINALLY!! We had a sunny Friday and Saturday together where we could host a Yard Sale!!! We pulled the Yard Sale bins up from the basement and we raised money for YPATT: Your Place at the Table! We were able to take my old habit of hoarding and transform it into a positive experience of helping people feed their families!

I am so happy you were able to have your yard sale. Blessing the food pantry seems so much like something you’d do. That basement is getting so cleaned out. Pretty soon you and hubby are going to have to start a basement remodel plan so you have a crafting area, he has an exercising area, the boys have a friend hang out area, there is so much potential.

My favorite would still be the garage, so you don’t need to carry them up and down all the time..

Yay! You helped feed a few families with the profits. My In-laws want to have a sale at our house as over the past year they downsized to an apartment and have a storage they want to get rid of. Hopefully I can get my dad to sell off some of his hoard. It would mainly be raising money for them to live on as my mother-in-law and my dad are retired.

So pleased you managed to get a good weekend for your yard sale. I'm hoping for similar at the end of June. I've got numerous tubs of things in my garage that need to go! Thankfully the charity shop is on the way home for whatever doesn't sell.
Your channel has helped me get to grips with my hoarding. I know now what triggered it & as that person is no longer in my life, it's time for the items to go too! 😂 I've managed to get to the point now where I know which days are best to drop off donations & which charity shops are best for donating different types of items. What makes me even happier than reclaiming my house, is that I have registered for 'gift aid' with every charity shop I donate to 😊 (In the UK the Government introduced Gift Aid which means that for every pound raised by the donations a person gives by a person who pays tax, the charity can claim an extra 25p back in tax, making a £1 donation worth £1.25) xx

The food pantry I’ve helped at before had a “free room” that people could help themselves to, that’d be an idea for them too! ❤ I was thinking about if this was the weekend earlier today and it was!

I love the feeling after a yard sale even though it is a lot of work. We usually have ours Friday and Saturday then after 12 Saturday is half price, fill a bag, etc. also I NEVER bring anything back into my home or garage. I immediately load up what’s left and donate it. Those are just some tips for myself that helped me personally to reduce my clutter.
