  • Sawadee farangutans and puan puan khun Thai! Yes, the equipment problems continue. My camera has a flare on it when I go to wide angle that seems to be related to that lens on my phone. My speakers are no longer functionating correctly on my laptop where I edit and the program I use to edit and to which I have recently subscribed to, keeps crashing and losing clips I have put into the edits. It's doing my shed right in!
Anyway...In this flog we visited the three-pagoda pass. On a very wet day. When you come out of Sangkhla Buri you come to a roundabout. Take a left and it is 18 km to the pass. You just stay on the same road until you reach the village of Phra Chedi Sam Ong, the Thai side of the border.
To be honest, there isn't a lot here as you will see in the video. You come down a hill and can see the three pagodas Infront of you. To the left is a temple and car park and on the right is a border crossing into Myanmar (Burma).
The three pagodas are in a garden that you can walk around. It's a circular garden and, around that garden, there are stalls in a circle selling lots of wooden items, cheap booze stalls and a couple of coffee shops and restaurants. It's not a big place. On our visit the border was closed, and it was pissing down, so we were the only visitors. Still, it's worth a visit if you're up at the Mon Bridge as it's not too far away. Some information on the pass can be found here.

After the pass we headed back to Kanchanaburi and stopped at Kroeng Krawia Waterfall. This is a terraced waterfall falling in tiers. It is in the Khao Laem National Park, and you have to pay to get in. I have no idea why, but I got admission at the Thai price. I think it should be 200THB for a farangutan but I only paid 40 THB. I am not sure it was worth paying 200 THB if I'm being honest. On a nice sunny day when you can walk further around the place it could possibly be worth it. We were there 20 minutes at most. If my computer holds out, I will be posting a review of a hotel in Kanchanaburi and a restaurant on the Chao Phraya on our return trip, so make sure you click the notification bell. Also consider hitting the like, sharing or, if you haven't already done so, subscribing. Adios for now! Catch you in the next one.
