Cheers. Well, NYE is celebrated more than Christmas. You'll see Happy New Year everywhere with all the Christmas trees and Santa, but Christmas is hardly mentioned. Probably as it is a Buddhist country. Your average Thai person would not know the Christmas story. You also have to remember that NY is not the Thai NY. Thai NY is in April, Songkran, and relates to Buddha.

Good question. I haven't done a lot of travelling since moving to Thailand, but I did travel a lot before settling here. I would have to think about that question. It's a few.

The probability of rainfall occurring ranges between 61% and 66%, which is almost as high as it ever gets on the island.
