Yes! I knew it was a matter of time before you got to this! So excited! Also, a couple world building clarifications: 1) The murder drones have to drink the oil from worker drones otherwise they’ll overheat and die. Which is also why they can’t go into sunlight. Yes, they’re robo-vampires. Which sucks for them because it means they’re designed to exhaust their food source and die. 2) The planet they’re on (the one you saw blowing up in the intro) is called Copper-9 and isn’t in the solar system. So yes, there are humans still alive. 3) Worker drones are produced on an assembly line and start as blank neural-networks (baby stage) that is adopted by an adult drone. The blank neural nets eventually evolve into full intelligences before getting put into adult bodies to finish emotionally maturing (teen and adult stage). So no robo-sex. Edit: although both parents copy and donate a bit of their software to make said neural net, so read into that however you want. 4) None of the drones have actual hair. They’re all wigs they make, presumably, by harvesting hair from dead human bodies. (Yep, this show is that kind of dark! 😂) Hope that clears things up and you enjoy the show!
Also someone on Tumblr pointed out the Virus J gave N from some angles looks like a Stake through the heart --- vampires can be killed by a wooden stake through the heart!!
@@cawareyoudoin7379 the writer of the show confirmed babies are made but taking parts of each parents code and putting them together. The AS is a string of code as we can see when Uzis solver string goes from false to true at the end of episode 1! Probably just had the part of the code copy and pasted into Doll and Uzi that included the Solver string
Fun fact, the worker drones get their hair from the corpses of humans. You could say they’re just borrowing it. However, N’s hair grew back along with his head, indicating that it’s a part of his body.
Ooh 2 things I love are meeting Murder drones is an absolutely amazing series and I'm extremely excited for more episodes to come out Edit: canonically the hair and clothes are from the corpses of humans Edit 2: that wasn't earth it is an exo-planet. Basically a planet sized mining colony
Some people might consider using corpse hair as morbid, but I view it as valorizing. We should all be so lucky as to die in a planetary catastrophe and have our bodies scavenged for accessories.
@@COSun25 Nono, it's going to be completely different, not gonna spoil anything tho. The series is strongly influenced by one of Liam Vickers (Murder Drones writer and showrunner) abandoned projects
14:48 And here, we see a wild lesbian absolutely down bad. Before Premiere Comment: "Alright everybody stay calm it's happening! *STAY F*CKING CALM!* "
The show writer said that the babies work similarly to how they work in the movie "Robots" (said so in a stream) aka they basically build them new bodies as they grow up. Their conciousness is made by combining parts of both parents codes :)
This is definitely the kind of show that you have to watch each episode at least twice, once for the plot and once to go through frame by frame combing for every little detail.
In Khan's defence: His action of leaving his daughter behind makes sense, if he picks up the gun, N would kill him, even though he did the smarter and less selfish choice, he still has guilt over leaving her to die. If you go through all the scenes with him in it, you can actually watch Khan’s character growth. In ep 2, we have him begin to question if he’s a terrible parent, before getting loud and defensive on Uzi’s behalf to compensate. And he chooses to stay at the student-teacher conference instead of building a door, saying Uzi was more important- directly contradicting last episode (the sticky note that said “doors > Uzi”). A choice which ultimately saves him. A neat thematic detail. In ep 3 he tries to do the parenting he didn’t before, and becomes overbearing, which only pushes Uzi away more. Then there’s that moment where he runs to help her in the prom. I also love the symbolism of it shutting in his face anyways. He’s turning things around, but he’s not fully there yet. And Uzi’s still shutting him out bc of it. Then by ep 4, he’s actually made it to where he needs to be. He talks openly with Uzi, gives her what she needs, telling her to be safe, and then steps back to let her do what she needs to do. And you can see Uzi sympathize for him when he admits he wasn’t what she or Nori needed. They’re finally able to connect a bit. We see less of him in ep 5, but there’s a great line that shows how far he’s come: when Doll says he “raised a good daughter”, Khan says Uzi was good “despite” him. Which, even if he wasn’t completely in the wrong in ep 1 (at least in his intentions) we know he was neglectful before and even publicly put Uzi down, without really realizing he was doing so. So the fact that he’s accepted that and is just… doing better now, because he can… it’s actually awesome. Another interesting thing from ep 4 is that apparently the door idea came from Nori. She then died. Which is probably why he’s overly obsessed with doors now and why he shut Uzi out- it was a trauma response. But because of it, he almost lost her, too. And he’s forced to actually face the past instead of violently repressing it. All of this, ofc, happening in the background, with only a few minutes of screen time. Glitch really is wild. They’ve done smth similar with most of the characters, especially N, J, and V.
Also worth noting that Uzi is the first generation of drone children, so all of Khan’s generation are very much in uncharted territory. I doubt they were programmed with anything even remotely resembling the parenting instincts humans take for granted, so they’re trying their best to figure this out as they go.
Hey Elijah! I don’t think that this is ever explained in the show, but I’m sure that Liam Vickers, the show creator, said online that the Worker Drones took the hair off of the dead humans to style themselves. ☺️
I am well versed in Murder Drones lore. I was there waiting for the pilot ever since it was announced. Anyway, I think I can clear up some of your questions about what you see in this episode. First, the planet that all this takes place on is Copper-9. I think it has yet to be directly stated, but that's the planets name. The worker drones don't wear wigs. It's real hair that they... "borrowed" from the humans. It's still not known where the Disassembly Drones hair came from. Now, in regards to some of the characters. V is my favorite. The fact that the first line introducing her is "Please don't feed me my own entrails in front of my family!", followed by her not feeling anything after the encounter made me immediately love her craziness. As for Khan... All I'll say is he has his reasons for liking doors so much. And just based on this first episode, he made the right call, not firing at the drone that was holding his daughter a couple of feet away from him given that guns power. He also decided to save the entire colony rather than risk the lives of hundreds, possibly thousands, so... I used to hate him at first, but trust me when I say he isn't completely one dimensional. I'm still curious to see where his character goes. N is the greatest cinnamon roll to grace us in a while. Uzi being the unhinged protagonist definitely works for the shows comedy. There are a couple of characters I can't talk about yet because they come in future episodes. Speaking of... I do hope you watch them soon! The story takes so many different turns that I don't think anyone expected, and it's still going. And there's this huge plot point that I am not going to talk about but was teased in three separate points during this episode. Trust me, a lot of things in the pilot only make more sense as the show goes on. It's just that the newer episodes are more confusing to figure out. Anyway... That's it for now from a resident Murder Drone fan! Also, 14:49 where you were looking at V and J's... assets made me laugh uncontrollably. But I can at least agree that they are in fact, hot robots. And while J is gone, V is still here to be your robo crush. Trust me, if you think V is good looking now, you haven't seen anything yet.
As a person who really loves SMG4 as far I can say I am impressed they started out on making silly Mario animations in gmod that's purposely low quality movement and in years later.. POW! The most interesting animations that get you hyped up! I feel like a proud mother raising their child as an og smg4 fan. Very impressive
Don’t forget liam vickers also helped which he made great animations (and also leaves everything on a cliffhanger and never makes a new episode) i watched him before smg4 said he was working with him and he had very little amount of subscribers
1:57 Just throwing it out there: they probably just build baby robots to life? Like in "Robots", the Blue Sky Studios movie? Also, yes, Murder Drones is amazing and you bet I got immediately hooked!

In response to your “how strong are they” question: N can lift abt 84 tons 👍😅 Also someone’s probably mentioned this already but the Murder Drones are designed to need oil to avoid overheating- essentially creating an unsustainable ecosystem. They have to kill the workers to survive but once they kill them all, they’ll overheat and die. They don’t really have a choice in if they kill or not. They’re basically forced to, which is largely what makes N so interesting. That jarring dissonance between how dangerous he is and how utterly wholesome. There’s stuff to be said abt the others too, but it would be spoiler-esque, so
This series is such a good series, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait for you to get to the part where Uzi goes "It's Murdering time", and Murders all over the humans.
Just one advice, pay attention to every text you see in the episodes as they very important to fully understand the story (pretty much "if you can read it it's important"). For example in this first episode, during the "You died [idiot]" scene, on the other texts that appear around it, one of them have a key information for episode 4.
These reactions always make me so so happy. I'm so glad Elijah got to start a new series, and Murder Drones of course! Thanks for starting something that so many of us enjoy. I hope you enjoy the ride!
It's not explained how the babies are actually made but in terms of robots and the untrained AI. It's safe to say it's a mixture of both the father and mother's code, as if it's DNA. And it's an untrained AI so it will create a personality based on what it learns. Pretty much an actual baby but on robots
It seems great to see your reaction to this series as it’s a great show to binge 😁 also fun fact, each episode is a reference to horror movies throughout each episode. You just experienced “Vampires” in this episode or better say “Twilight” since Uzi is like the main character from the movie and N is the vampire style character. I can’t wait for next episode as it much be interesting to witness true horror next time.
I'd point out a few interesting details for you to go back and examine. Rather than Angels, I'd make you think about the abilities and traits of the Disassembly Drones presented here. Their weaknesses - the sun, oil dependency, and even doors, - all paint an interesting picture. Taking their powers into account too - wings, regeneration, and the implications of Uzi at the very end, - can make things even more interesting. I'll point out too, these aren't spoilers, but all things present in this episode. Also, read the stuff in the background; it's hilarious.
YESSSSSS here 14 hours before it comes out Murder drones is my current hyperfixation and i though all those reaction channels i watched durring my amphibia/TOH hyperfixation would just fade away and i would stop watching but they all now start watching murder drones and im here for it. Hope to see no ship war in these comments
I have a headcanon on how robot reproduction works: They either manufacture the child from scratch or have younger "backups" with untrained neural networks so they can adapt to specific jobs and environments (like how ai learns) and the babies simple copy traits from their environment and parents through learning, therefore becoming a software mixture of their upbringing.
N has mentioned it in the landing pod but the reason why disassembly drones have to kill worker drones is because they need their oil to prevent over-heating. Disassembly drones have an intentional build-in flaw so they overheat if they don't kill. This also solves the problem of what to do with them after all the workers are dead. The disassembly drones will all die due to overheating
@@jkjkjsnake This is a spoiler, so if you haven't watched the rest of the show yet don't continue reading. Turns out my comment hasn't aged well. It was Cyn who made them do it. She had Admin rights to N, V and J. Until Uzi hacked into V and N and made herself the admin of them at the end of episode 5
Don't know if someone in the comments have said this yet, but this series so far does not take place on earth. It takes place on a mining planet named Copper-9. The planet was colonized by JCJenson employees and the worker drones were used to do the mining. The planet was mined to the point of the core of the planet somehow collapsed killing all the humans on the planet at the time.
I love Murder Drones so much. It's one of my favorites! To answer your confusion at the end, the show does not take place in Earth. It takes place on a planet called Copper 9
I GOT SO EXITED WHEN I SAW THE NOTIFICATION OMG, MURDER DRONES IS MY ACTUAL FAVORITE SHOW AND I WAS WISHING THAT YOU MAKE A REACTION VIDEOS OF IT, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IT'S HAPPENING OMG IM SO HAPPY, THANK YOU FOR REACT TO THIS PIECE OF ART
About the untrained neural networks/babies, I don't remember how they create them, but basically they put the new consciousness in this baby body in order to give it time to grow, and after that, they transfer the consciousness into their real body. But all the drones, even the "adults", basically have the level of maturity of children or teenagers.
I binged the first 4 episodes because I wanted to be prepared for your reaction. I knew you would love this series. Hopefully you can get through them quickly, I am so anxious.
I've been waiting for this moment! you're ganna love this series, it has good quality, animation and characters. I'm so excited to see you react to this!
The world and character building in this series is a nice little cherry on top of the animation and wit of the show. I highly recommend paying close attention to the dialogue as the show does get pretty complex with the characters and the pacing picks up a bit in future episodes.
I'm really excited! I was actually hoping to recommend this series to you if you were going to do another poll. Murder drones is really entertaining to watch, the only "down side" is how it releases one episode every few months or so, but it's kinds not bc it gets people hyped for the next episode
I wasn’t expecting Elijah to actually watch Murder Drones and ended up liking it. 😭 I was about to comment on her latest video if she’ll ever want to watch Murder Drones because it looks interesting, I wasn’t expecting it to actually happen
Few notes: Series take place on exoplanet Copper-9. Only Copper-9 human colonists were destroyed, Earth population is fine. Disassembly drones need to drink worker drones oil in order to survive. Company doesn't need much safety beyond that, once all workers are dead, disassembly drones will die from overheating. There is a lot of hidden lore in brief moments and backgrounds, Murder Drones have rather convoluted and dark mystery going on, so I recommend rewatching previous episodes before watching new ones. EDIT: Also, Robots don't have natural psychology or culture of their own. They learned emotions and cultural values by mimicking media humans left behind. As result, they use expressions with no relevance to them "generally hormonal", "testosterone", etc. and their psychology is a bit whack and cartoony, especially when it comes to valuing life and each other.
(Speculation) Reminder: N said that they needed to drain the oil from the worker droids to keep from overheating. I point this out because that was likely intentional on the human end. See, once the disassembly droids are out of workers, they will be out oil as well, which means they will eventually overheat and shut down. One of them might be able to go longer by stealing destroying one of the others and taking their oil, but that is merely prolonging the inevitable. So, in the end, the worker droids would be disassembled, and the disassembly droids will shut themselves down due to overheating.
It's still funny yet amazing to me that this is the same Glitch Production who made a funni video about Mario getting his PINGAS stuck in a door, while also made a arc on a once-now no longer a self-insert of a blue-white Mario To anyone knows what I am saying, you get yourself a virtual spaghetti! 🍝

We are in a golden age of RUclips series
I’m so glad to see you watch this Elijah! This show has brought me so much happiness with it’s incredible writing and I hope it does the same for you!
NO WAY. She reacts even to murder drones. I LOVE HER SM
YESSSSSS
here 14 hours before it comes out
Murder drones is my current hyperfixation and i though all those reaction channels i watched durring my amphibia/TOH hyperfixation would just fade away and i would stop watching but they all now start watching murder drones and im here for it.
Hope to see no ship war in these comments
Ahhhh yes! I’m so happy you’re starting out with this series! You’re going to love it!
I have a headcanon on how robot reproduction works:
They either manufacture the child from scratch or have younger "backups" with untrained neural networks so they can adapt to specific jobs and environments (like how ai learns) and the babies simple copy traits from their environment and parents through learning, therefore becoming a software mixture of their upbringing.
The disassembly drones will all die due to overheating
huh. that really smart since they are vampires
You've already done reacts to all my fav shows!
Yes! FINALLY!
I've been waiting for you to watch this ever since you announced you would be doing so. So glad you like it! 😁
About the untrained neural networks/babies, I don't remember how they create them, but basically they put the new consciousness in this baby body in order to give it time to grow, and after that, they transfer the consciousness into their real body.
But all the drones, even the "adults", basically have the level of maturity of children or teenagers.
Finally, I've waited forever for her to react to this show
I'm so happy
LET'S GOOO!! MURDER DRONES!!
GIRL YOU WATCHED IT!!!!!! HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! WATCH THE SERIES NOW. A NEW EP IS COMING NEXT MONTH.
I love N so much!!!! He's become my favorite character!!!!!!
The flag that says "Literally so insanely suspicious" made me laugh so hard!!!! LOL!!!! :D:D
I binged the first 4 episodes because I wanted to be prepared for your reaction. I knew you would love this series. Hopefully you can get through them quickly, I am so anxious.
11:48 HOW IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT HOW SHE JUST PREDICTED THAT?!?
Ahhhhh! I have been so looking forward to you reacting to this! It is the show I’m using to fill the hole in my heart left behind by The Owl House
Really looking forward to this one. Definitely one of the gems of the Indie Animation scene.
NAH SHE DID KIPO AND MURDER DRONES (I think I found my new favorite reaction channel-)
THE WAY I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THE THUMBNAIL
“YEEEEEE-“
I finally got around to binging this show, episodes 1-6, and I absolutely loved it. And now it's time to binge your reactions :)
I wasn’t expecting Elijah to actually watch Murder Drones and ended up liking it. 😭 I was about to comment on her latest video if she’ll ever want to watch Murder Drones because it looks interesting, I wasn’t expecting it to actually happen
15:42 as mentioned earlier in the video, the disassembly drones will overheat and die without oil from worker drones
Few notes:
Series take place on exoplanet Copper-9.
12:52 makes me laugh every time, I love N so much😂
AMWZING FLIPPING work so TYSM VIV AND THE CREW! Wish I could buy theese! ♥︎
I just got Into his series yesterday and I just came across your video omg
Here's smthn I noticed:,
When Thad says "Awesome" you can see he has Jagged teeth. Look closely!
We love Elijah liking problematic girls (aka J and Sasha)
And Catra
One nice thing about Murder Drones, the creators are alright with uploads of full, unedited reactions 😊
**im late but i was so excited to see you reacting to md! It’s my favorite show lol.**
Murder Drones is really good show on RUclips much like Helluva boss and Hazbin hotel🖤.
THE MOMENT I start getting into Murder Drones you start reacting to it lol
My favourite RUclipsr is reacting to my favourite serie.
PERFECTION.
Elijah: just how STRONG are you?!
*Flashback to N's latest yeet*
He's a bit strong 🤏
Fifth episode is due out Friday, hope you caught up quick! Looking forward to your take on this :3
Let's be real, he totally bought that #1 Dad mug for himself.
Elijah: aww look how cute they are the rest of us who watched the show: you wish
Been waiting for this for a long time can’t wait to see your reaction to this amazing show.
I figured it was only a matter of time.
You’re gonna love this one, trust me!
Also the yellow warning sign on Uzi at the end has some hidden messages in it
She is so close to reacting to The Dragon Prince and RWBY!!!!!!
It's still funny yet amazing to me that this is the same Glitch Production who made a funni video about Mario getting his PINGAS stuck in a door, while also made a arc on a once-now no longer a self-insert of a blue-white Mario
To anyone knows what I am saying, you get yourself a virtual spaghetti! 🍝
11:48 i mean you were right but um YIPPEE THEY'RE SO FLUFFIN CUTE TOGETHER NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO INTERESTED IN 2 FICTIONAL ROBOTS' RELATIONSHIP 🤩😅
WHEN KHAN DOES THAT THING TO THE DOOR SHE MADE ME LAUGH WHEN SHE SAID "Are you okay-" 😭😭😭
*V(i think) holding a heart and covered in blood*
NSAF: aww they look so cute!
(Unoriginal comment)
After your done with the gravity falls series, there’s also some short episodes that I think you would be interested in
I gotta watch it
Edit: just watched it
21:10 That wasn't earth, the exoplanet it's called Copper9 and only the people that were there died. Earth is still there
13:33 his name’s Braxton. You can tell if subtitles are on
17:38 Uzi’s Solver was there all along
19:55 Uzi’s screen quickly flashes “AbsoluteSolver=False to AbsoluteSolver=True, and Solver uploads smt idk
Just some Sus things :D
Interesting information - I believe that GLITCH has mentioned (on Twitter or RUclips’s community wall) that we are currently in the middle of first season (meaning there will be 8 episodes in this season total).
