It looks like the walking cane stick thing is actually becoming more and more my thing now these days because I had a martial arts training accident in part when I tore my ACL and meniscus on my right knee which I just had surgery on December 29. I have to say you do seem to have some good ways of putting things with the cane and I seem to reasonably like your style. In fact I’m actually getting close to buying one of these things
If you must know my types of martial arts that interest me or Krav Maga, karate and Filipino martial arts althoughI do seem to have an interest in part with ninjitsu or more properly called Ninpo
In fact what I wanna say is the hanbo as well as the cane oh for sure the hanbo is one of my huge favorites
I use a tactical cane or a hiking staff depending on the terrain. Both are made of hickory.

I noticed that the universal stay back position has the inside of the lower arm and the palm of the hand without the cane exposed to the attacker. In other videos, you've said that we should instead rotate our wrists so that the outer bone of the forearm is facing the attacker. I know that you said that in reference to unarmed combat, but I wonder whether we should try to remember to rotate the wrist when we are doing the cane training. In other words, should we rotate the non-cane wrist as we're making that first thrust strike with the crook of the cane or the end of the stick? That way, we have the preferred part of the off forearm facing danger if that first thrust doesn't land well and the attacker is attacking towards the other side.

I really like Palm Beach County but would like to eventually move up to Martin County or a little more north. Just a little slower but still great climate year round.
