    Well done Colonel Moore.
I never really asked my Grandfather about his experience at Calais as he would just talk a little bit about it, then change the subject. After he had died, my Mum bought me a book about the aftermath of Dunkirk and the soldiers march into captivity. I then began to research it and have found The Siege of Calais it to be a fascinating story of bravery on the part of the British soldiers that were there. The 1st Bn, The Rifle Brigade were captured in their entirety and the story has been recounted by few people, including Airey Neave.

Nothing but respect for this man, who was part of, what may have been, the greatest generation of all. I truly hope that we will never have to pick up guns to fight our Brothers in the Uk. Can’t imagine what he went through in his life time . Greetings from Germany
