Is it true that xiaomi changed their terms and you can't use any surveillance features without a subscription? A new reddit post was really negative about it
In malaysia it allows 3months free subscription.. after that it has to be paid 7days or monthly
Hi there, no it's not true. You can use most of the surveillance features without subscriptions. If you want cloud storage active, you need to subscribe to their cloud storage feature. Otherwise, the rest of the features are unlocked. You can also purchase a memory card and install it into the camera, then have onsite storage active which you can stream anytime.

No, but you could connect it to a powerbank with enough voltage.
lot of people says that you can not get notifications and lot of features without subscription...
Hi Fouad, as long as you are connected via the Mi Home app, you can set up your notifications.
@@SyntechSA thanks for your reply , unfortunately Xiaomi restrict many features after 3 months of use the support told me that it will be just useless.
That's f*** that C400 dndt automatically reconnect when the power brown out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many days will it record on 256gb?
It will keep on recording until your camera ran out of battery. If your memory is full it will overwrite the old video and replace it with a new one.
These type of cameras are usually bought for because it allows you to view your home live from anywhere in the world via your phone and will send you alerts whenever there are people passing by at the moment and can be shared to your family members unlike your traditional security camera which won’t send you any alert, cannot be seen via your mobile phone and requires additional tv and storage drivers. Not to mention that you cannot share the live footage either if you’re away, you will only able to know what went wrong after you discovered missing items or abnormalities in your house, while those live wireless smart cameras will alert you about what is going on during that exact moment.
