I love phillip but its nice to see that even tho she lost she is still all happy and smiley for phillip to, it takes a really big person to be able to do tht...they are both amazingly talented tho

His single 'Home' was pretty much the theme song for the London Olympics so...I'd say he's getting some attention! It's also used in the trailer for Clint Eastwood's new movie. Such a good song!

As much as I wanted Jessica to win, Phillip deserved it just as much. He was amazing! This was the only season of American Idol I watched for its entirety. 💕 Best top 2 ever!

Being talented doesn't mean you get to stay. Sadly, the show is more of a popularity contest, and every year people scream "rigged." The person who deserves to win most barely wins, but that doesn't mean it's rigged. I loved Phillip, and I'm glad he won, but I don't think he deserved to win as much as some others.
I loved Phillip's voice and I am so glad he won. And it makes me sick when people say he shouldn't have won.

I still feel like that this was total bull because Philip sang simple songs and I felt like that mostly girls just voted for him because he was hot and dreamy but he didn't have heart when he sang unlike Jessica who sang her heart out
Honestly this still makes me so mad. Clearly Jessica should have won because she was more versatile, had a better range, stronger voice, and overall better singing skills and capabilities than Philip Philips. All he did was play the guitar and sung songs with no real versatility, we always knew what he was gonna sing next. The only reason he was so well liked was because of his looks. I am certain that if he went on the voice instead, they wouldn't even turn around. If he passed auditions, he wouldn't even make it in the top 20.

Yes, I agree. But she failed to deliver during the final performances. And her top 3 performances was just ok to me. Towards the end, she didnt really shine.
The thing is his voice makes people happy. He sings for something. His voice tells a story.

Phillip Phillips may be the chosen winner, but Jessica Sanchez is the rightful winner. Sales mean nothing, as the figures were rigged by Interscope in Phillip's favor. Social media correctly favors Jessica. Phillip won only because of complete sympathy. The competition was rigged in his favor. Therefore, she is the winner the people chose, and he is the winner TPTB chose. His forte is guitar strumming, not singing. She is the best singer in Idol history.

This reminds me so much of SYTYCD season 4 when one of the best dancers of all time Will Wingfield was unfairly sent home almost at the end of that season, makes me ask "WHAT'S WRONG WITH AMERICA?"

His song was used By the US Olympics, is on multiple TV commercials hit triple platinum and climbing in 8 months. March 4th it hit #1 On the top 100 Billboard Chart for the 10th time in 9 months! Released his own album End of November that’s about to go Gold! So, I hope that answered your “Where’s Phillip” question.Since It won't all fit on here! :-)

The radio already HAS played Home*. That's what got me aware of him. But no, dude, it's not all about attention. Must i repeat myself with Jason Mraz? He's one of the best -- & that's not biased. Yet he chooses to play in small bars & coffee shops. He does a concert once in a while to make sure he GETS a bit of attention to survive in the industry, but then he just goes his own way. Many people have the greatest respect for those that dont do it for the fame, but to share their music w/ everyone

Phillip Phillips may have taken the short but less rewarding road to fame, but Jessica Sanchez took the long and more rewarding road to fame.
American Idol chose a stock White guy with a guitar with a narrow range over a truly great and octave jumping singer. American Idol chose a singer who sings simple songs and plays it safe over a singer who sings her heart out and makes brave song choices. American Idol chose an ordinary singer who is suited primarily for restaurants and cruise ships over a legendary singer who is best suited for the general public. American Idol chose a singer who would get nominated but never win an award over a singer who could've swept every award nomination she gets.
This is when I stopped watching this show. That was so unfair that he won over her. I hate unfairness.

Possibly, but I'd say its because he's better with the audience. Not due to a sex-preferred nation. His voice was more unique, he energized the croud instantly, people loved to just here him sing, idk.. he was just "special", as JLo said oh so much. Im a guy and im not much for music, but i could listen to him sing the same song for an hour. His performance even, loving what he did made it way better. "Psychological" thing? :p
