I've been watching since 2010 when i first moved out on my own. I'm now a mom of 3 expecting number 4 and I STILL make your recipes for my kids at least once every few weeks, they love going through your videos to pick what we are having and even the 12 month old tries to sing, "watch Runnyrunny999".
Uwaahhhh............This looks so so so so so freaking delicious. Thank you so much for all your recipes, Taro-san. I really, really love everyone of them and you do your videos so masterfully. Great job and keep up the fantastic work. ALl over the world, you are bringing smiles to people's faces when you appear in our subscription boxes.
I love the small mistakes you make. They are cute, and it is so awesome that you let us see. And the cute sound when the hot pepper went flying! And the face when you said you could use rice instead of rice. Runny-sama, you're the best!
runny I just made this last night it was AMAZING! I made it spicier though~ is this a recipe you made up or something you have had before in a restaurant and just recreated?
Hey Runny I like your video and i have subscribed it! keep coming! just an idea, perhaps you can make a video of you strolling arround eating some japanese street food! Cheers!
Tried this twice. First time with chicken and the second time with pork. Both tasted fantastic! Thanks for the recipe! Maybe next time I'll try it with beef xD
You used a spoon! :) I enjoyed this, and always wait patiently for your videos. There is something about how you do it that makes it very enjoyable. Always great!
Runny, I think it's your little imperfections and happy attitude that make you BETTER than "CookinWithDog". I don't know why, but I don't like people named "Francis". lol
My mum always boil the meet first to make it tender@edible....did u boil it first before you put it into the fryinh pan? Or the meat can somehow be tender just by cooking it like you did in the video?
I first made this dish for my boyfriend when I was 18, now 26 with the same boyfriend and I had almost forgotten about this dish even though it is SO delicious. Since it's hard for me to get fatty thinly sliced beef, this time I'll try it with lean beef that needs to be cooked long until tender, wish me luck😅
You can also buy beef strips (like you get in stir fry), and I'm sure those would work well also. They'd be a bit chunkier than this, but you could also slice them thinner too.
I recommend unsalted because since salted butter lasts longer, it's sometimes older and made with older cream even before it hits stores. Salted butter was a miracle when it hit stores a century ago, but now we have refrigerators and you can always freeze leftover butter.
made this for lunch! i didn't have the same mushrooms so i used porabello. I added garlic/onion powder to the rice and extra spice with siracha to the beef!! Sooo good thank you Run^2999
"If you don't like rice...You can put it on rice." xD Awesome video Runny! Keep up the awesome delicious food video! One question though, do you do research for each food request? OR do you already know what they are talking about?
Hey Runny! Sorry I have not said this before, but your English continues to improve wonderfully with each video! I have to focus on the language because just watching the video makes me too hungry! :-(
usualy any produce store if you cant find it though there is a cayenne spice thats dried if you cant find it fresh, might be a slight difference but it'll still taste good =D
Runny, you should put the dried chili pepper in first, that way it will let it's flavor grow. I'm not sure how to explain this but my family uses chilies a lot, it's better to fry it first... :D good recipe btw!

"Nice harmony" - well said. I love how the thinly sliced beef makes cooking a quick meal so easy. Great job, my friend.
I love the small mistakes you make. They are cute, and it is so awesome that you let us see. And the cute sound when the hot pepper went flying! And the face when you said you could use rice instead of rice. Runny-sama, you're the best!

Next time you can make it like rice gratin with spicy beef sauce if you put shredded cheese on it and bake it.

what kind of rice do you used? i love sticky rice!!
You can also buy beef strips (like you get in stir fry), and I'm sure those would work well also. They'd be a bit chunkier than this, but you could also slice them thinner too.

Hey Runny! Sorry I have not said this before, but your English continues to improve wonderfully with each video! I have to focus on the language because just watching the video makes me too hungry! :-(
Why did you tear the bay leaf? I've never seen anyone do that. Does it improve the flavor a lot?

Always Good to See you
Does it change flavor if I add the butter before the rice is cooked?
Runny, it is hard for viewers in America to obtain Shimeji mushrooms. Are sliced button mushrooms an adequate substitute?
it looked like he was using arbol chiles to me, which would be positively mouth-searing.. but everyone has their tolerance level
thanks runny2!

The lady that ordered had an interesting accent, does anybody know what it is?
yum! i may make this but a vegan version(no animal products). cant wait to see how it turns out!
What type of cut of beef is that? How can I get it cut that way?
I heard that ketchup in Japan is different than what's sold in America. Is this true?
Runny! you forgot to show when you should add the chili pepper!
