I love it when i see other pilots throw helies in like that. I have practiced doing these landings in Arma and battlefield for the longest time. (Its obviously a shitton easier in battlefield, but in arma it takes a little more respect for the ground and the heli)

Ex Australian Army here, the EF88 Austeyr actually has a really mild, controllable recoil; easy to learn. It's unique in its feel but on par with the M4 series (not sbr).
I also love the DPCU 'jellybean' Aussie camo, but we went to AMCU 7 or 8 years ago.
This vid brings back some memories somehow!
Agree on the jellybean only in cadets as still in school yet the camo is very drippy
Only good thing about the jelly bean camo was that it got thin after a few washes compared to the amcu, was better for the heat in Darwin that’s for sure.
as a cadet we feel like almost more of a part of the army as we have started the transitioned to AMCU this year and it looks and feels amazing as well as firing the Ef88 austeyr was an amazing experience and definitely my favourite weapon

Isn't the jellybean still for domestic use? People laugh at it, but it is *super* good in FNQ and the Territory rainforests. Stuff was hi-tech back in the 80s.
I wanted to really Thank You, I'm an old disabled veteran and I used to play military based games from 8bit to Playstation 3....had to quit due to bad arthritis in my fingers hands and wrists....anyway, they've come SO far....like watching a movie....your videos have made my boring existence way better.....please keep them coming and Thank You....especially love the door gunner ones as I was one....and Tarkov, so damn cool. !!!!

also the LOD in squad is garbage and stuff like that disappears at medium range.
I wonder tho, does the engine block stop projectiles in squad like it does IRL? I assume it doesn't because he sat behind it for a couple of seconds and did get hit while directly behind it.
@@alexandertheok9610 Well, yes, but also no.
Multiple rounds will tear through an engine block in... 5 to 7 seconds, maybe 8 to 10 if they hit the right spot and cause deflections inside the engine.
Point is, all those other bullets that dont hit a small solid piece of steel somewhere in there, gotta go somewhere else, and most engines, even in armor, arent really designed to take rounds.

As an Aussie, it feels like we’re under-represented in games.
As an RAINF Infantryman myself, all this equipment is really spot on, the creators clearly did a great job. The EF88 is a great rifle.

squad is such a cool game when you have good communication with everyone and someone acting as leader. my experience has been typically either radio silence or mic spam.

Aussie here, I've never had a squad I regularly played with.
I did however have one very best and very depressed friend I played all my FPS games with..
He had a rough couple of years, gaming was in a slump. He took his own life last year.

I just decided to hop on squad last night picked a random server and got to play with Drewski it was a great time and it was nice to play with you man
Drewski as an Australian I'd just like to thank you for not falling back on tired and offensive stereotypes as many lesser youtubers might have.
I love how most people dislike the L85A2 but absolutely love the AUG
They need to modernise the Brits. Love that us Aussies are getting some representation in games, but right now the British are a mess in-game. Want them to add the L85A3 and the Virtus body armour system, maybe even the Ajax or Boxer to replace the FV420 since that's literally a prototype vehicle. L86 has long been retired, and the Puma is close to being replaced; I'd like to see the Wildcat or Merlin in-game. They'd be the most advanced faction in the game, even more so than the Aussies and more-so than the US or Ruskies.
If they do decide to add the next-gen IFVs like the Ajax or Boxer for the Aussies and Brits, they could give the Puma and Boxer IFVs to the Germans if they ever introduce the German Army. Also the SuperAV for the USMC and turretless AMPV to replace the AAV and M113 for the US; that would give the USMC their modern IFV, whilst the US Army would have a modern APC. Ruskies could get the BMP3, whilst the Chinese could get the ZBL-08.

Thats not an AUG though! The fire rate of the EF88 is not as fast in real life as it is in this game.
@@ReanuKeevesAus Mix of all that stuff; so Ajax and Boxer, Wildcat and Merlin, Virtus body armour system soldier model, and L85A3. A bit ahead of the ADF, as we haven't decided on a tracked next-gen IFV whilst production for the UK boxer I believe started a couple weeks ago with Ajax already delivered.

Except the fucking fire rate of the EF88 Steyr in game is not accurate compared to the real weapon haha! Otherwise they did a solid job implementing the Ozzie Faction and the completely accurate replication of the Bushmaster makes me feel like I'm serving as a Bushmaster Driver like I did when I served in the Army!

Australian faction is fun for sure. Love the changes squad has gotten over the past few years since I started playing it. Also that observation tower is the coolest thing they have made for building lol

Would love to play this game one day, always watch pc games always wanted to play games like squad, still haven’t had the chance but I’ve been following this game since day one, this game has turned out to be so amazing, they have taken this game far I hope they keep dropping more amazing content and make it even better so when I do get the chance to play it will be even better than it is right now

EF88 is actually really good at medium to long range.
I know, almost every gun in Squad can be but the scope on the EF88 is a sweetspot for me.

As a squad pilot, I feel like the AU heli feels far different than the other 3. The heli has a shaking sound, like a bolts are rattling and it's barely holding itself together. The windows are also very dirty compared to the other helis.

Technically not an AUG. It is an EF-88 / F-90. It has been redesigned so much I believe we don't even pay Steyr royalties on production anymore.
14:00 'skylining' doesn't really happen here due to foliage and controlled peeking, just don't peek too far and the only thing your target sees is your head. It's a great position as you can pull back into cover and have height advantage. It's more of a 'headglitch' than anything else if used correctly :)
