Part A - consultation extracts (about 5 minutes each)
Part A assesses your ability to identify specific information during a consultation. You will listen to two recorded health professional-patient consultations and you will complete the health professional’s notes using the information you hear. Note: the health professionals may be any one of the 12 professions who can take OET.
Part B - short workplace extracts (about 1 minute each)
Part B assesses your ability to identify the detail, gist, opinion or purpose of short extracts from the healthcare workplace. You will listen to six recorded extracts (e.g. team briefings, handovers, or health professional-patient dialogues) and you will answer one multiple-choice question for each extract.
Part C - presentation extracts (about 5 minutes each)
Part C assesses your ability to follow a recorded presentation or interview on a range of accessible healthcare topics. You will listen to two different extracts and you will answer six multiple-choice questions for each extract.
27/42 today fst test
I have an exam on August 19 2023
Thank you ❤
In the 35th and 36th questions' answers, there are logical errors, at least the meaning is not clear, and some of the statements are tried to paraphrase in the answers; however, the meanings are changed and become inconsistent, although overall, the test was similar to the real exam scenarios. If you got, for example, 32, just add 2 points to your score, which means you got 34 due to these 2 problematic questions. Mostly 30/42 and above is B grade in this exam and B grade would suffice to get you where you want.
the ans for 29 seems to be choice c because pharmacist is recommending switching the medicines. Also in part A extract 2 the main symptom he is saying unable to keep anything down.
In 29 the pharmacist reccomends altering medication but they do not provide any alternative. They do however report side effects. In extract 2 vomiting is mentioned or implied more than once.
Don’t agree in 29 the first talker is the pharmacist she reports side effects either the Doctor recommended to change the medication
Quite helpful ❤

Improving takes repeated listenings ... The same part of you listen multiple times, gradually you will start understanding the conventional way to locate answers .. Multiple choice is all about understanding the options ..
Although 31 correct answers are promising ..
This one is the only way to improve listening
