    Like what TS used to do. Any route with a HST in it, they would use the kuju one. Hopefully, routes released with HSTs from now on. Should include this variant (of course with a different model)

    6:10 what you where saying about the doors is right. Take for example, the cab doors. They have that bar in the middle so the window can only be opened so far. On GWR examples, this isn’t there.

    What's with the weird " shadow " around the dials ? Some are misplaced if it is meant to be a bezel. Also noticed that the dials were missing the needles when travelling through the tunnel.

      I think its an illusion to the eye when facing head on. If you go to the second mans seat they are actually sunk into the dash. Though i dodnt spot the dials missing in the tunnel

      @@TrainSim_TVLong time lurker, having watched most of your vid's. I haven't bought this DLC (yet).Depends on wether DTG will actually fix anything or that others will do it for them. Seems that opinions are divided to say the least. it's only going to be a " problem " in the future when people start using the " new " HST in their scenarios but then RW ( TS ) Tools will fix that. I am ( personally ) happy enough with the enhancements I have installed . The redeeming factor with this DLC is of course the price.

    Seems like so much more could have been done with it. Idea: 10/10 Execution: 5/10.
    A reason why N1 might be missing is to simplify it for new drivers- departure procedure for GWR is N2, then N3, then no more than N4 whilst the train is leaving a station. Once out of the station, N5 can then be used.

    • @williamroberts5826
      @williamroberts5826 4 года назад +1

      even if it was to simplify it, it still should have had N1 because despite what any departure procedure for GWR might be it certainly isn't the case for every TOC I'm sure and even in a world where it is the same Notch 1 can still be used so very very poor move by DTG to remove it or not bother implementing it.

    • @StaxRail
      @StaxRail 4 года назад +1

      @@williamroberts5826 oh yes, it should have been included nonetheless. I'm fairly sure that departure procedure is standard across TOCs though, as it is to do with the engine's governor and RPM.

      @@StaxRail Never heard of a standardised departure procedure. My dad is a driver at LNER and he always tells me when I'm driving in TS to put the brake in step one then throttle in notch one then release the brake and increase power which has always seemed like the best way of doing it to me as it provides a smooth start. It's more likely a set of guidelines for a decent departure rather that strict procedure as most drivers do have their own ways of doing things

    • @StaxRail
      @StaxRail 4 года назад

      @@williamroberts5826 you have a similar background to me! My dad is an instructor for GWR, and says I ought to go into N2 then release the brakes as power builds up to prevent a rollback, then into N3 as the amps fall, then N4 until a particular amount of time when I should roughly be out of the platform, then N5. It probably is a set of guidelines, but for GWR it's primarily to do with the actual engines.

      Personally the old HST via the european loco and asset pack from steam then purchase the AP enhancement packs

    Well it's nice having an upto date hst in the sim but I won't be touching this with a barge pole unless ap can work their magic as the physics are messed up, accelerates way too fast & the sounds are typical dtg as in nothing like the real thing!
