I’ve raised and released two squirrels so far and have spent my little “fortune” on hazelnuts from Amazon ever since. But I’ve started a bunch of nuts, and hopefully in the Spring I’ll be rewarded with sprouted hazelnuts! I’m so excited! Something to leave all my new friends. He looks like a really fast hamster as he chases the grey guys from his territory, and it hasn’t deterred him at all from what we’ve seen. So funny to see a “fast hamster” tho. And I worry about his loss and fears as he seems to prefer staying under cover. I provide small pieces of fleece from the stuffing in old little couch pillows I have or buy cheap.
