- Spreading year old sheep manure on bean stubble in March 2023 with a 1970 Farmall 826 and John Deere 550 manure spreader. A Bobcat S510 loads the spreader.
This is a great video. No BS, no long intro, no excessive talking. Just some great shots and sounds of a gorgeous 826 doing honest work. Thanks for sharing.

Great looking 826 , I have a 856 looking as good as yours same cold starts,,, changed the plugs,, big difference “ happy farming”
I messed up in the video and forgot to pull the shutoff cable halfway out until just before the engine caught. Makes a huge difference, and usually I don't need any assistance getting it started with that trick, down to 25 degrees. I also have the batteries set up as 12v in parallel.
Nice looking 826. I had one and I sold it like a fool and replaced it with a 986 because of having a cab. I've been sorry every since. Good tractors. Nice looking job of spreading.

They're tough, you can work on them yourself, and you can still find parts for them, as long as you're not going to the dealer to get them!

That's a JD 550 Spreader. I think they were more popular in Canada.
