I found them through a youtube drummer I love, kye smith. They did a cover of Blitzkrieg Bop together. Downloaded some of their albums on spotify and been on them ever since. Such a good, catchy rock band.
I looooove when they do rig rundowns with punk rock bands. The video’s always like 12 minutes long and the guitarists are always like “The amp is beat to hell, my guitar is a guitar of some sort, that’s all I have, and I don’t know anything about any of it.” Teenage Bottlerocket is so good. If you’ve never listened to them, check out “in the basement”. It’s stellar.
Haha my thoughts exactly. "Do you run any kind of effects? Yeah no, I don't care." I mean what did you expect, have you listened to them? It's just pure Ramones no bs guitar sound.
@@vavapotter I remember one with the Bouncing Souls where the guitarist had a thirty year old amp, two of the same guitar and maybe an overdrive pedal. Still a good interview
@@devinftf they were amazing old Marshall heads and that beautiful white Les Paul. I saw them a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to be side stage and watched him and 3 other dudes try to get those two amps to work together lol it took so long. I really wanted to go and offer to figure it out for him but they finally got it and it sounded so damn good.
I'm a huge teenage bottlerocket fan I've known about them since 2004. However I didn't really get into them until the album warning device in 2008 I was 10 years old at the time that album really got me into the band and into punk rock in general. Since then I've been a huge fan of their music and their latest album Sick Sesh is one of my favorites. When I first heard they're single ghost story I was hooked I thought "this reminds me of warning device" that song was stuck in my head for a month it was so good. And finally my wish came true premier guitar did a rig rundown with Teenage Bottlerocket I didn't find out about it until 2 months later.
I saw these gys open for Dropkick Murphys in Missoula,MT like 10 years ago.never even heard of them before.INSTANT FAN. This is such a punk rock rig rundown😂
Super rad, would have Loved to have heard from Kody about his Lillingtons rig especially on their last album… oh and edit; Kody is such an amazing natural songwriter “Death by Television” is a perfect album and so is “Stella Serpen??” and his guitar shit is always super catchy.. Nerd out…
From what I can tell he either uses his Teenahe Bottlerocket orange or a jcm 8 or 900 and a Gibson Flying V or that hagstrom he sometimes uses with TB.
85DB, shit....my bedroom volume is louder than that. I guess that city has a no screaming ordinance. Which is a higher output (gain) amp the TH100 or the Rockerverb 100 III?
No disrespect to Teenage Bottle Rocket, but I just wanted to say something to PG. I think it’s hilariously hypocritical/oblivious for Shawn Hammond to publish an article calling anyone out as a crybaby. I don’t know which guitarist he was referring to as they probably took the rig rundown video down but it’s beside the point. I’ve always dug PG, the staff and the articles with the one glaring exception being Shawn and from everything I’ve read or heard the large portion of the PG community seems to agree. Maybe think about taking a back seat and leading from the sidelines if your ego allows it Shawn, you might just see an increase in your magazine’s revenue with the absence of your smarm 💁♂️

Do I know who Teenage Bottlerocket are? No.
Will I watch their Rig Rundown and then listen to them the rest of the day? Yes.

@@bizzigtv4903 Check out their other band 'The Lilingtons' as well. Tons of good songs. Black hole in my mind, to name a few.
they are one of the greatest bands ever, fun live too
Death by television. Go listen to it

"It's loud as balls"
"thank you!"
100/10
Love these guys (and the Lillingtons), even though it was short and sweet thanks for the rundown.
I have followed this band for a few years now. I can't wait to see a live show someday. They look so energetic !
Kody is the man. One of my absolute favorite people in punk rock today. A talented, down to earth, really funny guy.
Without doubt.
I got to meet him yesterday it was a great moment

Just caught them live for the first time last weekend!! INCREDIBLE freaking show!! Such a good time!!
I'm interviewing Teenage Bottlerocket, quick cut the sleeves off my shirt!!
Seen this band live with pennywise , great times, this band gets me stoked on Canadian punk , bands like chixdiggit remind me of this sound
I love Teenage Bottlerocket. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
This dude named his guitar "Jeff", this is so cool !

My band opened for Teenage Bottlerocket and The Queers last summer, they’re really fun and nice dudes with an amazing live show!
I'm so glad to see a tube amps I can cry 😭
Haha so rad! I have a couple Ingrodi builds after talking with Ray years ago. Wolfetone Marshallhead in the bridge on all of 'em, SLAYS!
Never heard of these guys. They’re pretty cool and I like their vibe on tone. It’s so subjective, and without saying this, they’re saying this. Cool
Seen them several times, fun band and cool guys. Got shit faced with them several years ago at the Fest in Gainesville Florida
They killed it down Huntsville last month. Wish I had noticed the upside down Iommi inlays then. So cool.
Several thumbs up for TBR!
How cool is Ray dude?!.... damn!!
Finally a Teenage Bottlerocket Rig Rundown!!!
My favorite band
Hell yeah they're great
Ray is turning into a cartoon character
These guys kick ass! Lillingtons too, Death by Television is a 10, no skips.
Can’t wait to see u again man🤘skate or die
Soooo, I’m pretty curious about those mini rec’s that aren’t mentioned
Might belong to an opening band
Yeah its probably not their gear.

nice! wouldve enjoyed to see the bass player as well but ill take what i can get lol! good video
that bass head deserved to be featured
I love that the price of Ray's Guitar is $1234, Fuck yea!
First dude, if you close your eyes, sounds like John C Reilly
85DB, shit....my bedroom volume is louder than that. I guess that city has a no screaming ordinance. Which is a higher output (gain) amp the TH100 or the Rockerverb 100 III?
straight to the point! nice bunch of fellas, too! :D
What were the mini boogies for?
Probably the opening bands amps
Hermoso !!!!
No guitar tech needed indeed my friend.
Kody looks good
The mosrite style is like Is a strat front horns and and Jazzmaster bottoms were mixed together.
How come you always skip the bass player!? More bass!!
85 db? Drums are way louder than that....something is off about that.
See if you can do Weezer on hella mega tour!

Literally skipped half the rig.
Ray is the best
You showed the two mesa amps and didn’t mention them at all. Congrats to TBR for making it big while copying other bands.
I want to know what they are for !
Holy shit that was terrible.
1:08 Someone from my town was actually mentioned on a rig rundown?? Too bad it came from a band no one gives a shit about.
What have you done ever that anyone gives a shit about?
@@jmingrodi look how angry his ugly face is in his profile pic. LOL he's jealous
This band is one of the biggest names in the punk scene, you metal nerds need to get out more
Mocking the cross is one thing, do you have the guts to mocks jews?
How does a fash larper like you even survive out in the real world?
@@ileutur6863 so obviously you are all cowards. Thanks for proving my point
yeah, my guitar has an upside down star of david on it.
Rig rundowns from bands with bandwide endorsement deals are far less interesting.
