You know that’s a good idea! I’m sure it’ll help. I do have a domino too! Any chance you can give a weak glue joint it’ll find a way to split here in Alaska 🤣 but thanks for the suggestion!
I fill the tiniest cracks with starbond but only if I know they’re not going to cut on it. I did use some on a tiny crack before but it stuck out like a sore thumb after I oiled it.
So many mistakes. Cutting the whole board for a short (2.5") crack less than a 1/16" wide that could have been filled with a replacement piece of wood or epoxy or even just wood glue. Nut using dowels or biscuits when rejoining the cut board pieces to add sheer strength -- but maybe the glue is adequate. Not taping close to the edge to prevent glue spreading into adjacent grains. Not using a flat support under the board when clamping to ensure even alignment -- covered with wax paper to prevent glue adhesion.
The finished product is beautiful ..... a work of art! Thank you!
Awwww thank you so much for watching and taking the time to write! ☺️
If you're unsure about the board staying together with the penetrating oil, would domino/dowels help?

Climb cut on the chamfer usually yields cleaner result. Try it and let me know. :)
Ok cool thanks for that tip. I sold my place so I currently don’t have shop space now but I’ll remember that! Thanks!
I dig the background music
Thanks I appreciate it! Not being able to use popular songs on here makes it hard to select songs 🤣
What about hitting a small crack with superglue

Good video.
And entertaining.
I really appreciate that! Thank you so much for watching!
Btw for how much would you sell this board?
Around $350 give or take. I’m not sure where you’re at but walnut was around $18+ bdft here in Alaska! 👎🏼
@@ToguchiFurniture thanks :)
Use a wire brush lightly and that gunk comes right off.. no need to turn it on, just the wire brush…
Thank you for that tip! Always looking for easier ways to do things. I appreciate that and you watching!
