Who's fault is it that the USA is in debt? Obama was paying down the debt and deficit when he left office only to have trump have it grow again. And this during a supposedly healthy and robust economy.
Yet the same republicans, not unlike you, still refer to Obama as a communist.

Just follow the career of Edward Bernays, it might seem like a rise, but its really 100 yrs old. he created a culture of narcissists to create an easily controlled democracy, goes back to Woodrow Wilson and he worked with every president up to Eisenhower. He created the capitalism/communism dichotomy, even though its completely false. China is a communist country that practices capitalism, they aren't mutually exclusive. Most talking points you head repeated by boomers go straight back to Bernays. The problem is film and tv were used to brainwash generations, enter the 21st century and they don't hold the same place in the lives of most people under 50 that are overworked, underpaid, trapped in a constant re-certification cycle. There are attempts to control social media, like Peter Thiel's IDW, but they aren't working as well as they hoped, I think Thiel has scrapped the IDW, Joe Rogan seems to have gone rogue, and Sam Harris has all but disappeared.

The rise of a sort of collective narcissism has also been linked in scientific literature to the (effects of) decades of neoliberal policies/government across the globe. In a nutshell, it has to to with a combination with a decrease in social cohesion, social security and a rise of individualism and a misplaced faith in meritocracy. This has led to a fear of interdependence and a belief that if good things happen to you, you must have earned it through your actions (and if someone else is less lucky, this person is to blame for their own predicament). Plus it created a culture to eat before one is eaten, fake it till you make it, etc. The perfect breeding ground for narcissism.
This is why it is so important to vote for Bernie Sanders in 2020.

Tosca Tattertail, First, let me offer my deepest sympathies to you and your Family for the incredible Loss of your Father. I’m so sorry, Hon! Its a terrible thing for anyone to lose a Family member. Were you close with your Dad? It IS really difficult for us, the living, to have to Lose someone who we expect to stick around. I lost my Dad, too. When I was 16. I became an Orphan, then. Enough about me. Sorry.
Tell me, please, what’re the symptoms associated with the mini-strokes? I read the last few lines of your comment, so, I got it. So, uncontrollable Rage, Irrational thoughts, and, uh, Alzheimer’s-like Loss of Self (extreme memory loss). Is that correct? Trump has never been fit to be President. Its just much more obvious AND much worse, now. Dayum! Trump is what, now? He’s uh, 73 years old. Makes sense. Have u seen the videos of Trump, as a younger man, yet? The difference between them, is like night and day, I tell you. His speech, as a young guy, sounds 147% better than his speech of Today. He used to have a slightly bigger vocabulary, spoke in sentences, not in fragments, as he does today, no repetitions. Still dumb as a box of rocks, back then, as he is now.
Are you sure that Trump is suffering from the tiny strokes, and its not Alzheimer’s?? This might not track, but my Feral Mama Cat, had a litter of 3 kittens in my bedroom closet, about 2010 (?). Two ended up dying, I kept the 3rd. The only girl kitten, while she was actively dying in my hands,...well, she was having little strokes, too. At least, I think so. Poor baby girl!! I miss them.
Again, please accept my deepest condolences for the Loss of your Father. I hope that you’ve taken the time to grieve, and that you’re less overwhelmingly sad. TC.

I do have a follow question if you get a chance to speak with this gentleman again. My mama suffered several TMIs or mini-strokes. For a short time afterwards, her speech was slurred, not like his, her intellectual ability remained the same. After the effects of the mini-stroke wore off, she was perfectly fine. At least until she suffered a massive stroke. In the first couple of years after that stroke, even though she was confined to a wheelchair, she'd fix her hair as best she could, put on her make-up and she tried very hard to do the daily crossword puzzle, something she'd done for 25 years or more. She still got the answers right, she simply couldn't put them in the right place, I don't know if that was visually or something else. But, we kept her at home until congestive heart failure began. She remained with us another tough year.

Your memory reminds me of the Loss of my Mama, when I was 9 years old. She had a brain tumor. During a surgery, to try and remove the tumor, there, Mama’s heart stopped beating. Back in the day, medical procedures were a bit primitive, compared with today’s Medical Care. So, the Drs couldn’t get her heart started again, and she (I think) just slipped away. At least, that’s what I tell myself, anyway.
I read your message, and felt that I needed to reach out to you. My major, when I first went, was Psychology, as well. I minored in English, if I remember correctly (?).
Again. My condolences to you and your family, Robin, for the Loss of your Mama. May she RIP...

@@traekas7228 Thank you so much for your kind words. No, her passing wasn't easy. She'd fought breast cancer & kicked its ass for 22 years but she suffered a massive stroke. Then an idiot cardiologist was trying to scope her to see the back of her heart and tore a 2cm hole in her esophagus and she was bleeding out, we had 15 minutes to get her to a trauma hospital before she bled out. They got her there in 13 minutes, she was rushed into emergency thorax surgery. She fought for another 5 plus years before dementia and her heart began to fail. Congestive heart failure is awful. For a week, we watched her basically drown. I didn't stay for her last breath but she was surrounded by people who had decided to show up. I wanted my last memory to be of her peacefully sleeping. She did reach that point and I left. My last memory was of her sleeping. My other family members haven't forgiven me yet and it's been 7 years. This past Saturday, my oldest brother who is severely physically and mentally handicapped and had developed gout, my 2nd oldest brother finally showed up and for 84lbs, he fought hard but we got him to the ER. I'm 10 years younger than my brothers, I am the oops baby, the one not meant to be, but my father, who died 9 months after my mother had me promise to look after him. J & I have a special bond. It took 3 of us to hold him down and still enough to get an IV started. It turned out that he also had pneumonia. He never coughed once. I never left his side until 5 am Wednesday morning. I left because I had a doctor's appointment and I needed sleep. I have lupus and found out in September that I have leukemia. I cried the entire way to the doctor, I made a wrong turn, and I backed up and hit a power pole cracking my brand new 2019 Accord Sport. I hadn't put gas in it yet. I was 30 minutes late and cried the entire time. I asked my other brother if J could stay with him until Saturday because I was close to a nervous breakdown. I was shaking on the inside, fear, sleep deprivation, guilt for leaving him 5 hrs early, will mess you up. He's okay and I slept until 5pm today. I still feel guilty for enjoying not being responsible for another human being for just a few days. J is inaudible, I understand him best. My other brother doesn't help much but he did this week, thankfully. I'm sure your mama went very peacefully, she was sedated and death is very quick in such situations. J had open heart surgery about 50 years ago, I don't remember much. But, he's my 1st best friend. Merry Christmas and let's remember those we lost with love and fun at this time of year. And, may we be grateful for the ones we didn't lose. Happy Holidays and God Bless!

I saw my mother's cognitive decline when she had early onset Alzheimer's. She was the sweetest, hardest working, most graceful, classy lady I have ever known. There was a time when she became almost unbearably hateful and ill tempered. The confusion and frustration makes people with dementia do uncharacteristic things. Trump is truly in cognitive decline. It is sad that the establishment GOP and his power hungry kids do not step in and start guiding him to the sideline while it is possible to maintain some kind of self dignity. They should take a page from the Reagan's playbook. Donald Trump will not be mentally stable enough to execute his duties if he wins 4 more years.
Considering how quickly he has declined, it won't be long before it will be undeniable though. By the time Trump's impeachment trial reaches the Senate, he will making big enough blunders, that he will expose what the GOP is working hard to.cover up. This is how Donald Trump could get away with all his dirt. I am sure he has convinced himself the phone call was "perfect". Most likely he doesn't remember all the call.
There has to be someone close to him "managing" him personally by now. I've always thought that's why Ivanka there - to soothe the beast.
Alzheimer's is no joke. I cannot stand Donald Trump, but if this is indeed what he has (and not just an Adderall and Sudafed addiction) I will actually muster some pity.

While I do agree strongly that the president suffers from mental illness (malignant narcissistic personality disorder), I believe the recent hospital visit was for acid reflux. The president's obesity, high fat diet and drinking of diet Coke daily - an acidic beverage - has resulted in acid reflux which can also cause chest pains. Further, the issuance times of his Tweets would also seem to indicate a sleep disorder. The bottom line is that the president is mentally ill - he immediately reverts blame for his actions upon his enemies, he lies incessantly and never admits wrongdoing or errors - and because he is so unstable and so in violation of the U.S. Constitution in his actions and beliefs that the MUST be impeached. Trump is a threat to the nation's democratic traditions and to the world. IMPEACH TRUMP.
