    Thanks for this video. The most helpful part is the video of the pump running inside the tank with fuel coming out of the regulator. My bike is a hard starter and has a bad bog when I roll on the throttle hard from idle. The fuel pump and pressure regulator are my #1 suspects at the moment.

    Thanks for the video mine is do the same thing just pissin fuel out of the regulator I didn't think it was normal to do that till it over pressured mine was doing it at like 10 psi .. I bought a quantum pump an regulator kit an it came with the wrong regulator but they are makeing it right thanks again of the before an after video this was very helpful 👍

    I thought it was normal for fuel to bypass the regulator during priming and at idle as the engine is not drawing any fuel so the pressure is relieved by the regulator? Anyway, super interesting video thanks!
    P.S is your engine not running rich now due to the much higher pressure the Quantum regulator puts out?

      I do not believe the engine is running rich. It seems to run the same as before the problem occurred. No rich smell from the exhaust.

      @@lucecannon is your milage the same as before? Does your wr have an O2 sensor in the exhaust? Some do some don't. EU models generally do.

      I didn’t notice any change to mileage, but I generally don’t pay much attention as I ride this exclusively off road and have the huge fuel tank that I rarely fill. I’m away from home right now so I’ll have to get back to you regarding O2 sensor.

    Did you feel differences? In terms of power or erogation?

      The regulator was preventing the bike from running. I replaced the pump & regulator and it started right up. Can I tell any difference in how the bike ran before the problem and after the new equipment; no.

    what did you do to get the fuel to pump 0:24?

    • @lucecannon
      @lucecannon  2 года назад

      With the key turned on, I was just turning the kill switch to run. The fuel pump will typically pump up until at max pressure. The regulator was bad so it wouldn’t reach pressure and instead would continue to run. The new pump & regulator runs just an instant in this case and then again when the engine is cranked.

      @@lucecannon I am think my regulator is bad too from sitting for too long... Could you have just replaced the regulator and not the pump?

    • @lucecannon
      @lucecannon  2 года назад +1

      @@jordesign Yes, I could have. But my pump was OEM and they are known to have problems so I replaced both. You can buy just the regulator at Quantum.

    Did you get the refund and site credit for making this video?
