Back to Basics - Asymmetric Triangle
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 сен 2024
- This weeks tutorial is looking back at the asymmetric triangle, a design that is unbalanced with one side being longer than the other. This type of arrangements is usually front-facing, so its usually seen from the front. This style of arrangement is suitable for larger designs, like a pedestal as well as a smaller arrangement seen demonstrated in the video.
If you are new to arranging, take a few minutes to view my Back to Basics series which will explain how to create an asymmetric triangle using a minimal amount of flowers.

Thank you Diane. I'm really enjoying this new style of teaching via RUclips. Missing contact with students because of Covid19, but live being able to reach so many people.
I have now been watching you probably for about 6 months and I think I have decided I could watch you forever. I have been doing florals for over 35 years, but every time I watch you I learn something new. I am very grateful for your gift and the knowledge you have. I live in North Dallas, Texas. USA. "lots to learn" exactly, that's what I thought 🤗 I am not into professional flower design but occasionally I like to create my little arrangements and all this information is very practical. I also like photographing and the tipps you share are also useful there: Leading the eye is also important on pictures. So thank you for the video! Greetings, Judit
Thanks Judit, we use Priciples and Elements of Design which I imagine are the same 'rules' as photography, painting etc
A very helpful demonstration thanks Sharon.

Hi Sharon, I learned a lot from your video. I like your way of explanation. I am learning now the flower arrangement and planing to do arrangements from home. Can you give some sugetions
Wonderful! You could try any of theses designs for the home.
Thanks for the video gave me some lovely ideas for church.... could you add a candle to this arrangement say at Christmas time. Either side of the pulpit xx
Thanks Livvie, you could add a candle although I would be worried about lighting it as it would be very close to the flowers
@@sharondower ok great was just a thought! Xx look forward to the next one xx
Hello i am new to your channel....it would help a lot if u displayed the basic shape e.g triangle 📐 and then showed us practically hw the flowers/leaves fill up that shape
I'll have a think about how I can incorporate the design shape for each video.
Super
Thanks for watching

Do you have a book about flower arrangements? I like to buy it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
No, but I would love to write one!
How can I modify it a bit so I can fit a photo frame in the centre?
Hi Sarah. There is a video coming in a week or so when I include a box of chocolates. That might help you understand how to add in a photo frame.
Beautiful but I feel too many different plant material, less is more
Thanks Elizabeth, it's always great to hear other people s thought, it's such a vast and interesting subject
I find it very difficult to make 2 similar designs for the altar and the girls who help I think get frustrated with me sometimes. Though I am more frustrated than them!
I think lots of us struggle with making 2 designs the same! Try making each one, step by step, add foliage to each, then your line material, then focal flower, then its easier to copy the shape
From Harjot Sharma
An awful lot of unnecessary technical bull here.
It must be off-putting to somebody wanting to learn.
Get friendly with your neighbour's that have really varied shrubs and ask if they would mind if you snipped a branch or two occasionally.
They will most likely be delighted because it will save them pruning.
Making arrangements gives great joy both in creating and the pleasure they bring.
Thanks Harvey for your feedback. When you're learning the technical bull is often vital to understand how floral design works
