What is the essence of life…live happily, care for family if you have one, and die and fade away.
If he can live a happy life in Ghana, enjoy his life and take care of his child, it is okay. We have the whites in abroad who cannot own a house in their country, and in debts. The west has the conveniences of life but it did not get here easily.
Bro, you can make it work in Ghana

This guy misses home, his family and probably his girlfriend.....in your first couple of months abroad, you have to be disciplined, especially sexually, if you're not the type who can suppress your sexual urges, that alone can make you depressed. I realized when I got to Canada that, I would have to restrain myself from pleasure and a lot of things.....I left my own 4 bedroom house in Ghana before coming here, but I came here with a dream and a purpose and until I achieve that, nothing will make me return home. Absolutely nothing! If this youngman really wants to go home, he should just go and tell them to deport him.....because to buy a plane ticket, you need your passport and when you seek asylum, your passport is seized so even if you guys contribute money for his ticket, he still doesn't have a passport and you can't board a flight with only ticket.

Milo, Nana Osei Bonsu is here, I will play devils advocate, West Africans are not tuff minded enough, this guy is so attached to the family in Ghana and he didn't know how the system works in Canada. we all have families in Ghana but it comes a time when you have to part off the family and stand alone. Canada is a great place especially at younger age like him. I don't think anyone should encourage him to leave Canada until his case is over with the immigration. We should only support him if he wants to stay, We have all been through this and even worse than this. We were brought up like this and religion has made it worse, weakened our fighting power, we cant take hardships. This guy may need people talking to him or joining some group here to push back the loneliness. Coming all the way and returning just because of pressure does not make any sense. It took me 10 years before becoming landed, within that period my parents passed, I stayed and struggled and now taking care of siblings my parents left behind. You have to man up. you cant be weak and travel outside your comfort zone. Compare here to those in Dubai. People who do not research any endeavors they take end up like this all the time. He put her trust in an agent and that is the result of his actions now. people die everyday and every where. Life in Canada is not Carnival.

If one would look at issues critically, Ghana has the most stress-free life and opportunities, but the difference is our mindset. There are a lot of Ghanaians who would NEVER exchange their life, business, and dignity for Abrokyire life!! I believe this guy would be successful in Ghana based on his mindset!!!

If you know yourself very well why did you travel? You keep saying you can’t go through pressure. Who doesn’t go through pressure in the first few years? He needs to see a therapist. It’s not easy in the first year wherever you go. From your submission, you’ve got a job and you’re managing but the negativity is from your home. So why do you listen to negative news from home? It’s not easy back home bro. When Africans travel we want to solve every problem at home. Think about your decision carefully. Those people giving you bad news from home won’t help you when you’re at your lowest. I think there’s more to it in this guy’s situation. Anyway individual differences, may God strengthen you.

True, if you're the type who enjoys being alone, keeping to yourself and not the outdoor type of person, chances are that you'll survive abroad. Not the same for extroverts....who find happiness and fulfilment in being around people and attending social events all the time.

Sorry to say this but I'm tempted to think our brother wasn't prepared for this trip. In this Canada japa movement you either dive deep or not. He wasn't prepared for the port of entry questions which suggests he wasn't mentally prepared to make it beyond the port of entry. He's purposed in his mind not to fight on but come back to his comfort zone. We cannot push him to stay if he's not ready to take any pressures.
