her third album, HOMOGENIC will blow your mind!!! and it is consider one of the best albums of all time. for comparision cause i konw you love radiohead, thom yorke said that's his favourite of all time
That unique feeling when experiencing Bjork, or any of her work ,for the first time. Really enjoyed watching your reaction to this Timeless Classic 🥂. She's one of the few artists whose artistic growth(seriously she's very experimental)is best appreciated when listening to her Discography in chronological order of release. At least IMHO🙃. - Debut (1993) - Post (1995) - Homogenic (1997) - Vespertine (2001) - Medulla (2004) - Volta (2007) - Biophilia (2011) - Vulnicura (2015) - Utopia (2017) - Fossora (2022) P.s. she also makes Insanely Awesome and 🤔🤔Music Videos 💯.
One thing with Bjork is that every one of her albums is wildly different than the next. If you decide to listen to more of her, be ready for surprises!
Sex that is what the album is about A complex discussion of it but yes once I understood the lyrics especially the second half of the album, it became top 3 things in art ever for me I have a personal interpretation for it since I don't think the lyrics are meant to have any specific meaning other than the surface level stuff like sex and love ofcourse For me its very philosophical and spiritual in nature deep down But its alright if you don't connect with it björk is acquired taste for sure If you liked the combination of harshness against the pretty instruments you'd like homogenic more since it is mainly just strings and electronic almost industrial drum beats
it’s definitely something’s that’s gotta grow on me lol, it’s a unique style for sure, yeah tbh i figured some songs were about sex i just guessed there was maybe something hidden within?
she managed as an artist to put a whole nation onto the world map of music, she became synonymous for iceland. that alone is really remarkable. plus this album is just phenomenal from the first to the last second. by the way, the same thing happens to be eivor for the faroe islands, her most famous daughter and a phenomenal artist (she even outshines björk vocally since she is a classically trained sopran and owns a masters degree in traditional nordic vocal techniques)
Pagan poetry is basically about the fear of vulnerability that comes with opening yourself to someone you love and essentially giving your body to them. Vespertine is a intimate and sexual album in nature if you listen closely. Bjork had just gotten married at the time of the album so.
You should definitely listen to the self titled debut album from Fever Ray (from around 2009). I think you'll like it. Electronic dreamy soundscapes, creepy and brooding, special vocals...
Listen to HOMOGENIC is a tremendous album, his latest song ALL IS FULL OF LOVE has two versions, the Howie and the “normal” one, Listen to the two versions, they are 10/10
Favorites - Hidden Place, It's Not up to You, Pagan Poetry, Sun in My Mouth, Heirloom, Unison
Least Favorite - Harm of Will, Aurora
Listen to Sigur Rós - Takk… another artist from Iceland
@@LukasBlurton ah, iceland has way better artists than sigur rós, to be honest.... :D

There is no one like BJÖRK. 🐧🍏🍎💙

You’re listening to Eartheater and Arca. Bjork is an avant garde pop artist. They walk cause of her!

A vesper is an evening worship service, which i think in this case i think refers to sex
I have a recurrening dream
Heirloom the best instrumental on the album?!?!?! 🫨🫠
wow you look almost as beautiful as Bjork.
I think you could love other projects, if you react to Bjork next I’ll suggest you Post or Debut, it’s more accessible and sooooo good
