- Welcome back to Quake Clinic! I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I'll perform an examination to try and narrow down what's going on. We'll do some touch testing, take a look at your eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, and inspect your skin closely. I'll input all of the results onto my tablet, and we'll get you fixed up!

Just what I need to help me finish up my medical terminology hw :)
I'm curious about the "Quake Clinic." Is it a clinic to assist survivors of earthquakes, or it is named about someone with the last name Quake? Or is it named after the "first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by GT Interactive in 1996"? (Source: Wikipedia) Moreover, is it just a plain-old medical facility, or does it do something covert and secret, like mutate people's DNA?
I'm trying to figure out which was the first video to feature the Quake Clinic. I've looked through your older videos, and I think the first Quake-related video is "ASMR - Cranial Nerve Examination" from Feb 6, 2017
, the 5th oldest video on the channel (not counting any videos that you've set to private) Just watching the first minute or two of that video, there doesn't seem to be much explanation of what the Quake Clinic really is. Perhaps it shall remain a mystery 😁
I've been wondering this, too! As a certified Old™, my strongest association with the word "Quake" is the id Software game, which consumed an entirely excessive amount of my time circa 1996-1999.
The first rule of quake clinic is that we don’t talk about quake clinic. 😂
To tell or not to tell 🤔 Mystique! Lol. I actually did explain this somewhere I think, but while I did enjoy Quake (the game) as a youngin, I chose it because I think it makes great ASMR sounds to say "Quake Clinic," and it's also kinda sexy, so it's a two-fer. In terms of the "what" it is, I initially designed it as a sensory-sensitive medical office that has a whole host of doctors who coordinate almost all medical services possible, so rather than needing to go to a separate dentist, primary care, dermatologist and so on, Quake can handle it all and (with your permission), the doctors can help with any issues you have by discussing your medical details. Every room has a bed that patients are welcome to sleep in after their appointments if they need it, along with a mini-fridge and snacks. The whole office is dimly lit, with some darker rooms, no strong smells, soothing sounds, etc. I think those are all of the details that have accumulated over the last 3 years!

Yet one enigma gives rise to another. I'd have laid money that you're too young to have played Quake. And this even after I adjusted my estimate of your age upwards after you recounted your history as a young adult and being a scene kid. What a mystery you are. 🤔
