      Geography Now I would love to learn about half of my cousin’s heritage (they’re Latvian) and I think that in their family their great grandmother escaped either Communist or Facist rule in Latvia and she wrote a book about it.

    The flag of Laos is interesting and it reminds a lot of the flag of Japan. Now with the meanings, I like the flag even more !

      @CherifTV Entertainment It reminds me of the flag of my country, Bangladesh. The flag of Bangladesh is very similar to Japan's one, the difference is that the background is green instead of white. The circle in the middle remains red. You can see the flag at 4:37, It's aftrr China's flag.

      i don't generally accept the new flag. the design may look cool and unique from other communist flags, but yet again it's communist and i prefer the old lan xang flag

      Charles I think it looks most like the Belize flag without our coat of arms in the middle. I've even seen people use the Laos flag and emoji when talking about Belize in articles and on fb

    According to the wikipedia Turkey is the number one countrey that drink the most tea with 6.9 pounds per person. Second most is Ireland and third is UK. Also according to European Crop Protection Turkey produce about %64 of the worlds hazelnut so yeah these informations are true Barb @GeographyNow

      Danger Dove probably, its not that uncommon. A lot of people own land that they dont do anything with so they planted hazelnut trees.

    I got 2014 result. Turkey is the number one of the tea consumption per capita. It's annually nearly 7.5 kg. And number two is Morocco and it's annually nearly 4.3 kg.

    Just to defend people sending you wrongly sized shirts, the sizes around the world is very different to each other... A small size in Italy can for example be XXL in USA.

      Chef Rafi's Awesome World They had a sort of competition with Thailand to see who has more elephants. It total bs but they wanted to feel more Importent. That's why they started calling themselves land of a thousand elephants.

    Amber is not only a thing for a gift in Lithuania, it's also a thing in Latvia and my homeland Estonia. It is generally referred to as Baltic Amber

    Laos' name comes from the fact that the French united several Lao kingdoms into one territory (the Three Kingdoms 2:40 you mentioned in this video), hence plural *LaoS.* Should have looked up the entomology of the country's name!

    Yeah, it's acceptable to pronounce the country with S at the end, especially when we speak English with Foreigners or on the international stages, but Lao people don't pronounce S in our languages. Thus, both are fine.

    Amber is definitely one of the main things you would find in a souvenir shop in Lithuania. In fact, the oldest written artifacts about Lithuania usually say something about it being the best place to get amber. You might also be interested in reading this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amber_Road
