Unlike the haters on here about the Steelers, I don't think Russell is to blame or the problem. The problem is the whole team is underperforming. The Steelers were performing well in all 3 phases 3/4 of the way through the season. Then they started sliding backwards in large part due to key injuries on both sides of the ball and special teams. They were no longer the same team. Even when they started getting key players back, lackluster play was happening instead of the cohesiveness displayed before key injuries. The next man up mentality didnt surface for this team. Tomlin failed to motivate and keep them focused also. IF the Steelers come together and IF they capitalize on the errors they force other teams to make, they're as good a team as any in the AFC. They can very well go into Baltimore and beat the Ravens. They may very well beat the Ravens despite the naysayers. It all depends on one thing... will this team play the game they're capable of in all 3 phases? If the Steelers put together the game they are able to, Baltimore may find themselves one and done instead. The Steelers aren't showing signs of that really.... doesn't mean they won't though
