I’m 83 now and continue to dream. I can identify with this song and Roger Bart’s interpretation is wonderful. I, like the thousands fell short but still keep the dream alive. After all what is life worth without dreams.
And just when we thought we couldn’t love this show any more than we already do… ❤️

Yep...seen this show about 20 times now..and this scene has gotten a tear in my eye a few times.
Best show I've ever seen by a country mile - pure entertainment and credit to each and every member of the cast and crew for creating pure escapism for almost 3 hours every night.
I hope they realise how amazingly talented they all are..and how they bring joy to hundreds of people every time they do their thing. 100% pure professionals, each and every one.

I sat watching the show when this song started. Tears crept out from my eyes as I listened, I can only relate too well to the lyrics. One of many absolutely wonderful songs from the show, fantastic talent from all.
I literally had a dream a few nights ago that was at Roger Barts final London performance. During this number, he looks out and sees an audience full of people dressed like Doc Brown. He chokes up a little during the number but pulls through and gets a MASSIVE standing ovation! I hope this happens!
I saw the play last week.. unfortunately Bart wasn't there so the stand in played Doc Brown.. would have loved to see him live
Only Roger Bart and Christopher Lloyd can play the greatest scientist and inventor doc brown and turn him into a badass legend icon and idol
This is great. Mr. Bart has done a lot on Broadway that I love, but Back to the Future is my favorite movie of all time, and I was one of those weird kids who thought Doc was awesome and Marty was just kind of along for the ride. He killed this, and I can't wait until I get to see it live on Broadway later this year.
It's been a while and he's still always there to go the distance.

Reminds me so much of Louis Le Prince, makes me so emotional. He invented the first ever film camera, but he vanished before he had the chance to display his work in USA. No one remembers or even knows him. He so deserves to be recognised. Cheesy, I know, but I have a tattoo tribute to him and to just cinema itself. saw the play saturday for my moms 65th birthday. i loved this song, and ive always loved BTTF. The musical was a good take on the classic.

I’ll admit I’ve never watched the film and didn’t really love the musical though appreciated it - until this moment in the show. The beat this song comes in is just PERFECT!!! If that doesn’t make everyone fall in love with the character then I don’t know what…..
I love Roger Bart and this song is perfect for his voice and acting ability, both of which are right up there with the best.

But yet you feel unsettled if you don't at least try to see it through. And yes people want to take advantage too much too. But just have to, have to! Take the set backs as learning opportunities. But lessons you don't want but still have to do with any chance to progress.
This musical...this song...is everything and more! Related to every word when I first heard it and it still is one of the most touching pieces I've ever heard in a musical!

I absolutely cannot unhear teenage Hercules, yet this song would fit his story quite well.
We are hoping for a sequel! Annie got one, here to the dreamers who dream of seeing parts 2 and 3! And who would fit the role perfectly for Clara Clayton but Susan Egan herself (If Hercules x Meg, Scamp x Angel, then it’s Doc x Clara confirmed). Let’s make it happen, dreamers!!!
Someone needs to make a karaoke backing track of this song as I imagine that a lot of singers would want to learn and preform this song since it’s so beautiful
I wonder if Roger thinks of Jonathan Larson when he sings this song? I saw a documentary about “Superbia” and one of the things that came up was that Roger was one of his friends. They were in a singing group-a trio, if I remember right?

We have flown over from Arizona to London to see the show twice in the last three moths and are planning a third trip next month with my 13 year. If you love Back to the Future you will love this well done musical. Best thing I have seen on stage I can honestly say. Really fantastic. I wonder when it will tour. Well done to all involved.

I did not like the show as much as most people who commented here, but I love this song. It was the highlight of the show. Otherwise, too many of the songs were too rock-based for my taste. The visuals were spectacular, however.
When i heard this guy sing, it took me a hot second to realize that he is the singing voice of Hercules in the Disney movie.

This was the worst song by far, had nothing to do with the show and a complete random morose turn for the Doc after he comes off obnoxiously unfunny but trying to be funny, neither accurate to the movie portrayal
