I just started watching Flats, and seeing his happiness from previous OW2 videos to Marvel Rivals is unreal. There needs to be a study into the unhappiness caused by OW.

As a pre-order OW1 and years of defending OW2.. I can say that I feel the same joy while playing Marvel Rivals that I see in Flats talking about it. I love how Netease respects their player's time and are building more & more value as people continue to log in. I feel they have been so transparent and focused on the fun since closed alpha. I feel they are making all the right moves and I am glad to see Flats excited about an in-game event again.

Hela skin was the free one in the BP. Jeff skin is free here. Moon Knight with the gold n black is free for hitting Gold. There’s free skins for Storm and Star-Lord in the achievements tab. We eaten good on the free skin front.
Overwatch 2 also has one free skin in the BP and regularly give free skin (4 legendary were free during the anniv event) You also get enough white credits to buy multiple old overwatch skin every season by playing for free. MR has the exact same monetization as overwatch

Queue times aren't really that bad. Games too new to think they aren't gonna repeat events like every live service game out there (it's not just an overwatch thing) plus new game bias blinds you to all the relevant problems that are actually rampant in marvel rivals: it's a great game and I'm gonna play the crap out of it. Granted they’re only 10 days in, but I hope they continue this streak. Its so refreshing and so fun, not everything feels like a blatant cash grab.

Imagine that, a game that just released, make a first event and not only do they give away the skin that would probably have made the most money, they created a mode that would most likely be fun and original (I mean yes it's splatoon but we never saw overwatch or apex or even fortnite do such a thing) and I'm sure most of us will ask for it to stay afterwards for fun. Genuinely impressed by what netease is pulling off in that game.
They are cooking with this game, starting off 13 days after launch with a seasonal event with a free skin, 4 additional skins to be earned/bought, and an event gamemode that's not just a copy and paste of an existing mode with christmas decorations. These devs care so much and it shows
after I played the Alpha and Beta i KNEW that others would love this game. This is coming from someone that has been a day one OW player. I was addicted to this game the moment i played and its crazy and cool to see the amount of love the game is getting now despite all the hesitation before from most people.
As a Magik main I am SUPER happy. Wasn't extremely keen on her only current high tier skin (good, just not for me) but that one looks so fun. Can't wait to see what the Darkchild looks like for it! Some snowman/yeti looking thing perhaps?
I’m pretty sure the reason they are doing a 10 day anniversary celebration is cuz correct me if I’m wrong the studio is Korean and they celebrate anniversary’s by days not years so like 10 50 100 etc but I could be wrong
@@vluckie netease has always been pretty scheduled around 10,30 and 50 days when it comes to events. 10 for something that might take a week. And 30 or 50 for monthly season stuff with 30 day events usually having legendary or higher rarity stuff for free but you have to grind all month. Idk if any of this helps but it's just something I've noticed playing a lot of their mobile games.
I get that people hate Jeff bc he eats them and throws them off the map and stuff, and his ult has huge range. But you can't deny HE'S JUST A GOOD LITTLE BEAN AND DESERVES THE WORLD! And if every Jeff costume is gonna be a cute thing you would put on a pet, I am all for it he is just too adorable.
