I ve been doing a 24h fasting for the past 8 mths, it was extremely hard because i stop implenting rice and bread and also flour base product but i persevere through and after a few weeks my body started to adapt and then slowly the hunger melted away. So i eat between 8 and 9 pm every day, i prepare and cooked all my meals, no takeaways, no cheat days and i never measure calories. I use youtube a lot to get ideas of meals with high fat and proteins and very low carbs. I was 120kg and im 85 kg now.
awesome well done... me my mum and dad have started the diet last week whilst ive been experiencing the headaches and fatigue which has finally gone looking forward to the weight loss as I only need to loose about 10kgs to get healthy so fingers crossed being 50 i expect the weightloss to be slower but we shall see how we go....

The slight headaches is because of the metabolic switch from burning sugar, to burning body fat. So all good! Love the brief. Very encouraging for all, including this little black duck.
Been doing this, but wo most of the IF, for 7 weeks and dropped 22 or 23 lbs. Over 1/3rd of my total goal! I'm a male, just over 6'0 and was 285 at the start. Below 256 will be a 2yr personal low, it's my next goal.
Great video Emma. This way of eating has certainly helped me so far and I urge anyone with weight issues or diabetes to try it. It could change your life. Please do some more videos about your journey with the Fast 800.

I have a bmi scale too and I'm convinced it's made to make you feel bad about yourself. I'm 18, 5'6 (167cm) and 62kg and it tells me I'm nearly overweight!! My God it's discouraging, but this video has made me feel like maybe I've been in denial about my weight and I do need to start doing something about it, thank you :)

One of Dr. Mosley’s videos was very helpful in terms of the science science, but I couldn’t visualize how the diet would be. Other authors videos on the fast 800 diet do not conform with the book information. Your video is not only entertaining, but really gives me a picture of how the diet would be. The scale you described as something I had never heard of before. So I really appreciate learning about it because I think it could really help. I'm 5 days in to 2 meal shakes a day 200 calories each then a healthy normal dinner. I need to loose wight for health readmsons so I'm not even bothering to weigh myself this time. Already on day 5 I'm feeling a bit better and my face looks a bit less chubby. Small wins!
Hi Emma is it safe to do everyday for menstruating women? I do intermittent fasting but Dr. Mindy Pelz says women should not fast at certain times in their cycle. Did you do this for a long time with no hormonal issues?
It's true that fasting every day is not suitable for women. We have to fast according to our hormonal cycle. For example, not fasting during the leutal phase (a week-ish before the bleeding phase); eating the right wholefoods (can still maintain a calorie deficit); eating enough protein.

Yep, I'm about 2 weeks in 😊 So far, so good 🤞🏾 The only thing I would say is I'm in ketosis but I'm not getting the energy boost that usually comes with it (I've done keto before and my energy levels were insane!!). Also, I'm weighing in weekly (daily weighing just makes me obsessive 🤣) and I haven't shifted as much weight as I was hoping for 🤔 It's moving in the right direction and I'm in ketosis, but it's all a bit slower than I anticipated...Not sure if that's the whole point of it being a lifestyle change. What were your first two weeks like?
I have been in a very WEIRD diet. Hear this... no breakfast. At work i eat a bag of lays chips 150 calories. When I leave work I have three corse light beers say 400 calories the most? then I go home and I eat two beggie wraps with tomatoe.. lettuce and oniens. say 300 calories. and I take vitamins as hell at night and off to my next day. Idk how much I lost... but pants dont feet any longer even though they are skinny dress pants. Jacket feels looser. And my face is well... now it has a shape like when I was 18.

I started 2 days ago. And i must say, I feel really good and have more energy. It's mostly because I am eating just fruits and veggies. And I do have a family doctor looking after me 😉
Hi Erin, yes I do exercise but didn't straight away. I wanted to focus on understanding the plan and getting the food right first but that's just what works for me. I restarted the Fast 800 just over 2 months ago and I've lost 1.5 stone now (with a couple of blips along the way!) 🙂
I hope you will try this again...went back to your videos and didnt see a update...but hey enjoy your favourite produce and mix it with the carb concept of keto 15g...and the rest mix and match vegie and fat free sauces as given by most vegan diet...sauces and veggies work together so make sauces with your vegies and nuts and balsamic vinigrettes flavoured either jams(sugar free)...we have just been blind to think bland food works better...and another tip i got the fat you eat is the fat you wear:) of and stevia drops flavour coffees for a treat and if you mist have that cake and eat it

I do not need to loss weight, actually need to gain few pounds. I am not sure about internal fat. I do need to mange my blood sugar. Would this Mediterranean diet help manage my blood sugar?
Thank you 🙂. The scales have an app which you download to your phone. You stand on the scales bare foot so it can take the readings and it sends the data to the app by Bluetooth. You can view all the results in the app as numbers like I showed in the video or there is a graph for each category so you can see trends/progress over time. The app gives you an explanation of each reading and plots your result on a scale so you can see where you are now and where you need to be. I find this much more motivating than just seeing my weight x
But it’s only water weight and you just gain it right back? 800 calories isn’t enough and I want to get weight off but gain muscle and do it healthy. I need calories and protein to gain muscle and not pass out to have energy to work out. So if we break this we will gain it back?
My Mum followed it for a couple of months, she wasn't very overweight to begin with and she lost about 1st7lbs to reach her target which was about a year ago. Mainly, she follows the Med style diet but it's more maintenance now. If she goes on holiday or treats herself and gains a little, she does a few 800 days to lose it 🙂

Excellent video I’m going to order the book. I did the 5:2 many years ago and it worked for me. Only 500 cals on two fasting days. Never felt better. Will get this one a go too thanks.
This diet does work but please be aware that this young lady is paid to advertise this product so don't be fooled by "Thi is just my own personal opinion" It should be said "This is my own PAID personal opinion" These "friendly" presenters are actually youtube influencers and earn their money promoting products online such as through youtube. You can always pick these video influencers because their patter is too rehearsed and perfect "no ad-libbing and professional photographs of products (like the meals shown in this video) but having said that, I must admit this diet will work if you can stick to it but I just wanted viewers to realize (loyal followers) that RUclips influencers like this young lady; produce these videos for one reason..to make money. Don't be led into believing "I am your friend, I am one of you" Believe me; for every book sold resulting from this video, this young lady influencer gets paid for it. This is their job, to influence their viewers. Just another form of advertising.

It's lack of electrolytes actually. When you cut carbs, they transport your salt etc around the body. Replace them and you're good

I found this very motivational! 😄Another talk I find very motivational is "Fat Chance: Fructose 2.0" by Dr Robert Lustig MD on the channel of University of California Television (UCTV) some few years ago. 👍

This diet does work but please be aware that this young lady is paid to advertise this product so don't be fooled by "Thi is just my own personal opinion" It should be said "This is my own PAID personal opinion" These "friendly" presenters are actually youtube influencers and earn their money promoting products online such as through youtube. You can always pick these video influencers because their patter is too rehearsed and perfect "no ad-libbing and professional photographs of products (like the meals shown in this video) but having said that, I must admit this diet will work if you can stick to it but I just wanted viewers to realize (loyal followers) that RUclips influencers like this young lady; produce these videos for one reason..to make money. Don't be led into believing "I am your friend, I am one of you" Believe me; for every book sold resulting from this video, this young lady influencer gets paid for it. This is their job, to influence their viewers. Just another form of advertising.
