I’ve never listened to Bach or anything classical before. I’ve been doing a Bible study on music, origins, and genre and I was put on to listen to Mr. Bach. All I can say is wow, I’ve been missing out on something so brilliant. I just can’t explain it. I know nothing about classical music, or of Bach. But, I’m going to buy some books and find out. All glory to Christ man! Good stuff!

The piece that really convinced me to try playing violin at tht 'early' age of 43 was the 'Air on G String' and after 6 years I keep playing it almost everyday, for my parents, for my friends, but mostly for myself. It's so emotional. Really love it.
50 years of composing and experimenting with harmonies and Patterns paved the way for mozart and haydn to take it to new style. I still give mozart the edge as far as developing melodies. But he certainly learned a lot from Bach and his use of patterns. Bach may have the edge in Harmony, but mozart was really taking off before he was killed. Yea I believe he was poisoned, and not because of the movie Amadeus lol
Mozarts piano concerto #21, I think was influenced by the air on g string and the 'walking base" style. Bach was great, but I always have in Back of my mind that he "cheated" is legacy a little bit. Lol. He went back 20 and sometimes 30 years later and improved a lot of his older works so bow when we hear them, we think how more incredible he is for writing this in his twenties, when in reality he improved his music years later. That's like beethoven improving his first symphony , after writing his ninth! Crazy. Imagine if mozart had lived to be 70 and did that

Every Bach composition is a masterpiece. I did music theory for my undergrad I can honestly say there is not one piece of music that man wrote that isn’t great. Other musicians might have been geniuses but JS Bach always was a genius.
I'm sure there are one or two. Plus remember, to be fair, he did go back and update some past works in his later years when he got more knowledge. I'm not sure the extent of it. I'm sure Beethoven would've loved to go back and rework his first piano concerto in later years or even his Fidelio opera. Lol

@@michaelsims1160 I feel that way about Mozart too. At least everything he wrote from his 20s onward. All of his piano concertos from #13 onward are works of art and have plenty of Bach ideas that would've made Bach proud. Bach would've been been impressed with Mozart. I consider Mozart "Bach 2.0". Especially if he lived a little longer because he was well on his way to mastering everything Bach. After all, they are the only two composers that have a masterpiece in every music genre of their time.

I listen to classical music when I need to study, I struggle to focus when there is no constant entertainment right in front of me but at the same time the music that I usually listen to doesn't help me either, at first I tried to like the combination fo classical music with studying but I just couldnt find it in me, now I can go for up to 3 hours of studying without any breaks, it truly is calming
Mozart was the closest at being Bach 2.0. . He was only 35 when he died. Had he not died so young, we all know it would've been inevitable . They are both the only composers that have a masterpiece in every genre of their time

Seems like everybody likes JS Bach. One thing we Germans are very proud of. One could say :" He opened the door to heaven" , for some the door to god and for some just awesome music. To almost everybody listen to spiritual kind of music like Bach it has an effect to the inside of oneself. Danke for the upload never get tiered of it.

I love Bach more than the later great composers, like Mozart and Beethoven, because each of his compositions acheives a splendid symetrical perfection.

Bach is a great composer and I love all his music. 30 pieces are not enough. My personal favorite is piano concert for 4 pianos.

I listen to classical music when I need to study, I struggle to focus when there is no constant entertainment right in front of me but at the same time the music that I usually listen to doesn't help me either, at first I tried to like the combination fo classical music with studying but I just couldnt find it in me, now I can go for up to 3 hours of studying without any breaks, it truly is calming

Mozart was the closest at being Bach 2.0. . He was only 35 when he died. Had he not died so young, we all know it would've been inevitable . They are both the only composers that have a masterpiece in every genre of their time

Seems like everybody likes JS Bach. One thing we Germans are very proud of. One could say :" He opened the door to heaven" , for some the door to god and for some just awesome music. To almost everybody listen to spiritual kind of music like Bach it has an effect to the inside of oneself. Danke for the upload never get tiered of it.
