A cool hunting video and good outfit but i NEVER recommended taking off boots during a stalk especially with rifle hunters. The risk for foot injuries and not being able to walk fast enough far outweigh the positives. The safer options are felt soled wader boots or something like the bears feet which were sold by crooked horn outfitters and slipped over a hunting boot. Also, shooting off a bipod or tripod at ranges over 150 yards is much more precise than a pack. Supporting both the front and rear of the stock prevents most misses or wounded bears and the guide should generally shoot as soon as the bear is hit and is spinning and biting his wound, especially when the brush is close to the animal and follow up shots are difficult That situation should have ended with a dead bear as there was time and nothing was too rushed. Filming the hunt adds an additinal challenge for the guide. Shooting off packs is rarely as stable, plus the pack adds extra weight during the final stalk. Missing and wounding sucks; i am sorry it happened but it was preventable. Having the hound dogs was cool and a great idea but bears are tough and don't die easily unless hit in the vitals. The stalk was well planned other than removing shoes Overall it was great footage, with amazing nature and the outfitter uses top quality equipment. For me, competent shooting is the one thing which is often lacking from both clients and guides. Good hunting.

I might be interested in an upland bird hunt but that's about it. I've killed Moose and Dall Sheep and have had run ins with more than one black bear. I've seen Grizzly bears, but never had any stories to tell. Maybe I'm getting old, but I have no interest in killing any big game. I'm OK if you do as long as it's fair chase. Something Alaskans talk about but seldom see. This is coming from a 50-year resident who worked in the far north gun shops for 6 years.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I truly love what we do and that I can raise my boys the same way I was raised. So blessed to share this amazing place with folks from around the world.
This guide srvice calls themselves professional guides and I reality they'd be lost in 10 minutes if they went into the woods they wouldn't know what to do these hunts are bullshit you pay for there services to be on the boat you pay a trophy fee and then after you blow 40 grand on a 4 day hunt they expect and want a fucking tip when you get a bear Aldo listen to the acting that a hell of a nice bear all scripted words makes me laugh watching these people
“Being on this boat, this is the way to hunt bear.” lol spoken like a real 🐱
NOT a hunting video!! Friggin' disgraceful
I’ve hunted the same location that wasn’t a 9 ft bear. Look at the guide magazine and see what bears they kill

Another epic hunt in the books. This is on my bucket list to hunt with this hunting guide. Truly love the respect she shows these bears.
What's it like to have a Swiss cheese bear? Y'all probably could have out a few more holes in them.
