You’ll notice Emma stops wearing leather after episode 10 because the actress felt she was a sex object and she wanted her character to actually mean something so she ditch’s the tight leather jumpsuit for normal clothes. Also it’s worth noting that during season one Marvel was facing lawsuits from 20th century fox saying that this show was purposely ripping off the X-Men. Unfortunately due to the law suits it butchered there budget and production value and when season 2 roles around everything got downgraded from action scenes to fight scenes to special effects no more leather suit or anyone wearing leather pants at all men and women because it was to expensive. Leather pants and suits sort of made a comeback in season 3 but not much Fox ruined this show and even though we got both Gifted and Legion in 2017 this show MUTANT X in my opinion is still the best X-Men show of all time.
That's off of Lauren Lee, considering that just a year after the show ended she went on to film "Lie with me", where she's nude several times and has, a seemingly, unsimulated intercourse.
