I used to work for research in urology and worked strictly with prostate cancer! If you ever had a question. But of course I’m not a doctor! Just extending a listening ear if needed! But extending my prayers for you and your family for healing and good health!! The cancer world has jumped leaps and bonds this last decade and it’s exciting!

My father is 93 and he also has prostate cancer for the past 8-9 years and did not need radiation he has shots directly in his prostate every three months and very little side effects for him. prayers for your wonderful dad and sweetheart he will beat this for God will bless him and be with him through this journey with complete remission and cancer free.

How precious to see your Mum & Dads visit with baby Atticus. You have a beautiful family Rachel and look how amazing you are bringing four healthy little boys into this world. At first I thought Atticus looked just like Leo but now he is a little older I see he looks like his own little person. Anyway my prayers are going out to your Dad. I seem to recall my Dad having prostate cancer in his 70’s but he got better and was fine. Like you I was always very close to my Dad so it tore me apart to lose him to lung cancer 6 years ago. He was 6 months shy of his 90th Birthday so we were blessed to have him so long although I lived in The U.S. and him in the U.K. I was able to spend the last 6 months of his life with him which meant the world to me. He also visited me in the U.S. several times and got to see my girls grow up so that was a blessing. Wishing you peace love & positive vibes always. ❤
My mom had cancer. I was told one week before she died. Brain to her colon. She was 96.
GOD BLESSED US. I MOVED IN WITH FOR ONE YEAR. OUR TIME TOGETHER WAS AMAZING. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN, LAUGHTER, JOY, AND TEARS. WE TALKED DEEP AND PRAYED. SHE COULD RELAX. I DID SOME OF HER DAILY THINGS. JUST TO HELP LESSEN HER LOAD. I SCHOOLED IN E.N.T. WHICH HELPED Tremendously MEDICALLY FOR HER NEEDS. WE LOVED AND FORGAVE EACH OTHER FOR HURTS. LOTS OF EXTRA HUGS AND KISSES. ( NOW, I AM CRYING, IT HELPS). WE GREW EVEN CLOSER. THE BEST PART. HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH SHE WAS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT COUPLE MONTH BEFORE SHE DIED. IT WAS SO AMAZING. SHE KNEW ALL THESE SCRIPTURES AND SANG PRAISE AND WORSHIP IN GERMAN AND ENGLISH. SHE EVEN SANG WITH MY FRIEND. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL TO HEAR HER PRAISING GOD. I PRAYED FROM 1980 FOR MY PARENTS SALVATION AND BOTH RECEIVED JESUS. FRIENDS NEVER GIVE UP. PRAY, PRAY AND THANK HIM IN ADVANCE AND PRAISE GOD FOR ANSWERING YOUR PRAYERS.

I work in a urology clinic as a medical assistant, so I see patients with prostate cancer often. I will tell you that I have seen more success stories than not. Keeping our fingers crossed and keeping your family in our prayers!❤

My husband had targeted radiotherapy! He didn’t have many side affects! A little nausea and diarrhea but not like treatments my other family members with cancer have suffered! We go in two weeks to find out how well it did. (My late first husband, my mom and my mother-in-law all had cancer! It was hard!😢)
I pray your Dad goes through treatment with as little side affects as possible! Pray they can take care of it swiftly! I know God is good all the time! He is Our Comforter and Our Strength through the hard times!

I have a dear friend, also in his mid 70's that had prostate cancer. He could not have the surgery either. With the targeted radiation he is now Cancer free and doing well ! Continuing to think positive thoughts for your Dad. I was super close with my Dad and my heart hurts for you as you navigate trying to support him but keeping your kids safe. Record everything take tons of pictures and my recommendation to you is to ask questions of your Dad you would as a friend, you seem close to him but use this time to really get to know him! Positive vibes and prayers! ❤️
My daddy was about your daddy’s age when he found out he had prostate cancer. His treatment was the seeds and he is still doing well. He is now 82 and doing great! Prayers for your family! He will do great with that treatment!
My friend had thyroid cancer 2 years ago and her daughter now has it as well. They both had that type of radiation and couldn’t be around each other ot other members of their family for 3 months. It sounded very hard. But they made it through. Prayers for continued better news! ♥️🙏 Also your parents were darling with Atticus! What a blessing good grandparents are. ♥️ I love Atticus’ little curl! One of our boys has very curly hair and it’s the cutest!

Prostate cancer has touched my family as well. My grandfather died from it in 1976 when there were basically no effective treatments. Then my Uncle (his son) got it but he had the seed radiation and it got rid of the prostate cancer then he had to have his prostate removed any way. I think I remember hearing you say that your parents live in Florida. Is there a possibility of them going to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa for a second opinion? My best friend's mother was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer last July and Moffitt gave her many more months than what she was expected to have because hers had metastasized. She was able to get in for an appointment there within days of calling to request one. She just passed away this past March, but she also stayed at her daughter's house the whole time she had radiation treatments and she was able to be around her grandkids the whole time. If they don't want your dad around the kids it's more than likely because his immune system will be depressed while his body is fighting the cancer and they don't want him to get sick from anything that kids might bring in from school/friends.

Talk to your doctor and make sure it is ok for you to be around him if you want more kids. My doctor advised me to not be around. This was also years ago 30 years or more and we where actively.
