Tekton has been getting better & better throughout the years. Best warranty in the biz IMO. Hopefully the prices stil stay reasonable.
I hear ya my friend!! thanks for your feedback!!
I bought the large metric combination wrench "add on set" four years ago. The finish on them and I see on yours is impeccable. I almost hate using them LOL because they are so nice.
I hear ya they are nice chrome!! mine are in great shape also becauseni use 4 different brands, craftsman, tekton, capri, icon!!! so there not used everyday!!! thanks my friend for joining in!!!!
About 8 or 9 years ago Tekton was my first quality Taiwan made tools that I bought. Never had a problem beyond their ratchets which they replaced with no hassle with just me sending an email and picture . Their sockets have always been satisfactory as a backup set to keep in the vehicle.
Yea i would agree with that!! do think there tool line is getting better the last few years or so!! there sockets are stamped and lazer etched, and there ratchets seem to be getting better, and there making more in the USA!! thanks for joining in!!!
I just discovered Tekton last year ....and some of yours are 10 years old! I like every item I bought so far from Tekton. I had only one issue (more of an observation) with a socket set and their customer service was top notch, without hesitation they sent another set to replace the first one.
Same here! When my new 1/4” set arrived I noticed one of the sockets had the stamping upside down. Sent them a pic and in a few days the new one was in my mailbox😁👍🏽
Fantastic warranty!!!!!! thanxs guys for the feedback!!!!
That is a nice table layout young man! My first Tekton product was a magnetic parts tray. I think I received it as a gift in the early 90's.
And you still got it!! thats says something about the brand!! thanks my friend!!
I have a few Tekton tools, no complaints. They have many real good quality tools. I will definitely be buying more in the future. Great stuff and informative. Thank you for the video Jeff.
Yea there always inproving there tool line!! more USA tools being made wish is good thing!! thanks my friend!!!
Looks like Tekton tools are stepping up their game. The reversible ratcheting wrenches sure look good. Thanks
I think so,there not standing still, there adding lots of new items to there list!!! the reversible ratchet wrenches are sweet!!! thanks my friend for checking in!!!
Bought my first set to put a new water pump on my car 8 years ago. They hold up great. I had a socket that was fully machined out and they sent me a new socket in two days. Great customer service.
The honesty here is great. Will make my future purchase decisions based on your judgement. Most are either fan boys or have brand new tools without grease in them
I will always tell the trufe!! most tools i buy with my own money,so why lie, rite!! when a tool is given to me ill always tell you guys up front, you guys are inportant to the channel and deseve no less!!!!!!
@@jefftovani5535 the rusting on the pliers.. big no no for me, they eventually become really tough to open and close. Especially for the more casual among us. Sure I can grease them up from time to time. But it would be nice to not rust in the first place!
That’s all nice stuff, good examples of Tektons quality. The chrome wrenches are gorgeous. Thanks
Yea they got a nice chrome!!! thanks for your thoughts on tekton tools my friend!!!
Thanks for all the recent Tekton videos! Even though it doesn’t sound like they have a physical storefront at all, I’ll have to just order some and try em out
They have lots of tools made in the USA and they have a awesome warranty!! there ratchet wrenches are very nice, there sockets, socket ratchets and screwdrivers are all very good,as well as other stuff!! thanks for joining in my friend!!
Nice Tekton collection there, Jeff! Thanks for shraring! I’ve got the roto head and the flex head ratchet sets in the comfort grip and like them, but to each their own.
I should do a series on roto heads!! and tom i have never had a tekton ratchet with confort grip in my hands,so to be fair ill buy some to check out!!! hope all is well!!!
@@jefftovani5535 I believe my Roto heads are the old style and the flex head are the newest style. I like the newest best.
I own the parrot nose pliers, 1/4 ratchet and SAE/metric socket set, 3/8 metic impact socket set, and a few metric wrenches I came across at a yard sale. All have been good tools. I'm eyeing the stubby wrenches and that folding stubby ratchet, it's a very interesting design
The stubby wrenches are nice!! the folding ratchet is a real neat design, very versatile, stubby ratchet, palm ratchet, offset ratchet,flex-head ratchet, all in one!!!! thanks my friend for joining in!!
TEKTON's got my vote. Quality at a nice price point.
Hi randy, and there warranty is fantastic!!!!
Love the show thanks for sharing I am revamping my tool box going with alot of tekton tools
Awesome, there some links below for most of the items, some i showed were discontinued!!
Thanks, Jeff!
Much appreciated!
Thanks my friend,as always!!!
The current generation of 1/2 impact sockets are stamped and no longer use the "bullet profile" on the smaller sizes. They are also no skip sets. Lets hope they continue to partner with more manufactures to widen out the tool line.
Thanks steve for the info!! stay tuned, take care!!
Jeff, I bought the Tekton 87 piece 1/2 inch impact socket set in April 2023. Mine are stamped and laser etched.
That's a shame about the Tekton pliers rusting. Do you have issues with Icon pliers rusting like that?
I find these brand overview videos extremely valuable. It's good hear the good/bad/ugly from someone who puts these tools through their paces. I would love to see an Icon brand overview as well.
Thanks my friend for joining in!! ill do icon and other brands i own like this video!! no the icon pliers dont rust!!!! more coming!!!!
Thanks@@jefftovani5535
In my opinion, Tekton screwdrivers/torx drivers/ hex drivers ect. are some of the best US made hand drivers available. Tips hold up good in my experience.
Your rite my friend!!! tekton is always inproving there line, and always adding new products!!! thanks my friend for joining in!!!
I really like their hard handle screw drivers. I would go as far as saying they're better than my snap on set. They really grip and I was very very shocked on quality
@ShawnC8030 I agree, I prefer the tri lobe handles because I am used to the snap on instinct handles and they're similar. The Philips tip on the tekton definitely holds up as good as the snappy. I think a lot of guys don't give them a chance because they cost so much less, therefore they must suck lol.
Tekton, Channellock, Wright, Mayhew are great 😊
I think Tekton has been making great improvements to their tools over the years. I know they did change the impact sockets they now have the sizes stamped on them which I was glad to see. I liked that they started making some of their pliers in the usa and hopefully in the future they will fix finish on them so they don't rust as easy as they do. I like the fact that they use Ernest company to supply them with their tool organizational items which is a usa company. I think their new ratcheting wrenches look like they are pretty good stuff too. I have owned both old Tekton and newer Tekton stuff and the new Tekton stuff is definitely a lot better than the old stuff. In my opinion I think Tekton does a great job at making affordable tools that hold up and get the job done. Tekton has come a long way and they definitely still have work to do but I think they are definitely going in the right direction. Jeff I do agree with you my friend all though I have not had one in my hand yet I don't know if I am crazy about their comfort grip either looks kinda short. Thanks for the great video my friend.
Hi my friend. they are getting better all the time!! quality tools, more and more made in the USA!! awesome warranty!! good middle of the road tools that get the job done!!!!! i will buy there comfort grip ratchet to review!! stay tuned!!!
I’ve been an automotive tech for about 6 years now and I bought a 3/8 socket set starting out and I never upgraded it because i have not had a single problem. The ratchet isn’t the best but the sockets have been awesome.
Thanks for sharing that with us my friend!!! i never ad problem with there sockets other then the etching on the inpacts wearing off, older style!!
I have the Tekton 1/4 socket kit. It has metric and sae in a blow molded case and I love it. I also have some random 3/8 and 1/2 sockets as well no complaints.
Thanks my friend for sharing that with us!! tekton has steped up there game!! there coming out with new products all the time!!!
Those look like some good weekend warrior tools ! Thanks Jeff
Yup!! they get the job done, thats what matters most!!! thanks my friend!!!!
I love that satin finish I used to love chrome before I worked professionally but it’s to much upkeep for a big box full of chrome tools
I like the satin finish as well!! it hides the scratches and seems less slippery when greasey!!! chrome does look nice but like you said more up keep!! thanks my friend!!
I've bought a bunch of Tekton tools. I have the large 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" deep and standard sockets on the locking rails. I like them a lot. I love their 44" 3/4" breaker bar it's a beast. I bought their punch and chisel set which didn't really impress me. I've also bought a few of their ratchets. They are not terrible. I'm still a fan of snap on ratchets, but the price difference is crazy. I bought their angle head wrenches in metric and sae. They are pretty nice.
Thank Tom for joining in and sharing your thoughts on Tekton!!!
Those Tekton ratchet wrenches look identical to Beta Tools and old-school Britool - the same satin chrome, same shape, same switch on the ratchet. I bet they all come out of the same factory in Taiwan. I bought a load of the old Britools years back when they were reduced to clear, and then filled in the skips with Beta to make a full set. Very, very nice quality wrenches, they've never let me down.
You good be rite about coming out of the same factory my friend!! they are damn good quality!!! great info on the beta and britools!! i always learning from you guys as well!! i do no alot about tools, but there still brands that i have no experience with!!! there are so many brands, old and new its mind boggling!! thanks my friend for joining in!!!
@vani5535 Hey Jeff, I'll always join in if I have something useful to say! 😉There are a lot of different tools between the US and European markets, but a lot of the time they turn out to be the same tools with different branding.
I think my next tekton purchase will be one of their screwdriver sets - I just haven't decided on the regular or high-torque handles yet. I might buy one of each in a #2 Phillips just to test how they feel in my hand.
I dont own any of there screwdrivers yet!!! if i buy one before you ill do a review on them, new and then after long use!! take care!!!
Jeff, the TONE RH4FHX 1/2" Drive Super Long Handle Compact Flex Head Ratchet, just came in the mail and first look I am speechless it looks that good.
Curious if it’s stamped “Japan” on the beam. thx
@@heypeteyj Yes, the full stamp as follows "RH4FHX JAPAN 23z" with the 23z in smaller letter size.
Oh boy!!! try it out, tell me what you think!!!!
I wish I started using Tekton sooner. I got their socket and ratchet sets at home last year, chrome and impact, and I love having something reliable without needing to bring tools back and forth. I got a few of their chrome socket sets at work too, but ended up finally getting snapon sockets because I've always been a little bummed out by how deep a "shallow" socket is in almost every Taiwan brand I've seen when compared to my older craftsmen USA. I'm probably going to end up getting more of their wrenches this year too, even though I have a ton of loose sets already.
Also, I really like their site and the 10% return adds up quick with big orders.
Thanks for all the great feedback!! i dont have any chrome tekton sockets yet!! there wrenches are decent, nice chrome finish!! you cant beat the warranty and the 10% back on there website!!! thanks again!!
In regard to the laser etching on the impact sockets. I don't think anyone is a fan of the etching wearing off, but when you use a socket that much, you can probably eyeball the sized when it's laying in a tool tray. I have some of my performance tool sockets left over from 2003, and I can tell you the 17, 19, 21,22, even though the etching is long gone.
Yes happy you are rite, thanks for your input!!!
Tekton is in the house!! Take a gander!!! Tekton just dropped their "made in the USA" dead blow hammer as well!! Good stuff Jeff! I like most of tektons tools!
The rust I have seen with snap on and others. I ordered the silica storage dry packs from amazon for moisture and threw them in my drawers
Never got there dead blow hammers!! silcon packs is a great idea!! shawn!!
I've started using wd40 dry spray lube on my tools that are more prone to rusting, especially pliers. I've bought 5 or so new pairs of Icon in the last month, and they look like they may rust a little easy. I sprayed most of my pliers and my impact stuff with it. Works great.
Thanks for sharing that with us!!! wd40 is a good idea!! more coming!!!!!
I don’t have any tekton but it looks like they have good tools
Some of there tools are made in the usa, they have good quality, affodable, and great warranty!!!
Good stuff. I saw the little toilet ratchet on the table and wondered if you'd mention it. 😂😂 you're the best!
that tells you i listen to what you guys have to say, lol!! thanks my friend for your support!!
I have the 3/8" Tekton bent handle ratchet. Flex was a little loose and I had to shim up the intent wedge spring to tighten it up. For a 3/8" stubby ratchet I just cut down an old ratchet to 3".
Thank you for sharing that with us!! fantastic feedback my friend!!!!!!
I have slowly been building my Tekton collection.
I haven’t had to warrantee any of them
Even if you do,the warranty is fantastic!!!! thanks for joining in!!!!!
I got those ratchet wrenches in SAE and i love them. also got some deeps and short 12p sockets from tekton. both 1/4 and 3/8 SAE. gonna use my student discount for some snap on ratchets
Thanks Avser for joining in and sharing your like for Tekton!!!
I've definitely gotten some Tekton's thanks to your reviews. Appreciate your insight!
Glad you like them! great warranty as well!! thanks my friend!!!
I like the handles on the Tekton screwdrivers. I wish Tekton would offer a ratchet with that handle. I prefer the plastic grip, in red of course!
Boy i know what you like!! the genius ratchet handles fit the bill, but there all roundheads!!
Nice review sir. What a great overview of the TEKTON tools.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!!!
Their Impact scokets are stamped and lazer etched now. Now it's just a smilple laser etch of the size. I have been between Tekton and Sunex impact sockets. Tekton is tempting for the quality, but Sunex is more affordable. Both are great affordable tool truck alternatives.
Nothing wrong with sunex tools,i have some of there wrenches! thanks for jumping in!!
@@jefftovani5535 Sunex seem to be very good quality for a very reasonable price. Even better prices than Tekton and that's saying something. As somebody who buys tools for side work and around the house, I appreciate the quality of tool options we have today.
Any time, I love your passion for tools and your giveaways. Keep up the honest and fair reviews.
The Tekton ratchets I have are top notch, some of my favorites and I have several Snap On, like the Tekton more. I have one Koken comfort, I love it. Many of my Snap on pliers have rusted also, and I take care of my tools and oil and WD40 them. How do we get an entry in to win the screwdrivers? I subscribed, like your tool videos, well done my friend 😊
Hi my friend thanks for your support, ill be doing a video with in a couple of days, and you only need to leave a comment on the video i select and your in the give away for the screwdtivers,so stay tuned and good luck!!
That’s a nice tekton set!! U should make a video on how to clean ur tools and keep them from rusting. Do u use ballistol or just wd40?
wd40 works good, that would be a good video!! thanks NAN-cc!!!
They’re basically new age craftsman and please believe me that’s not an insult. I have their chrome sockets and they feel great work JUST FINE and as for the warranty you’re not wrong it’s second to none. Snapped my 3/4 to 1/2 reducer took a photo and 3 days later no questions asked and free of charge at my door step
thanks for joining in and sharing how good there warranty process is!!! stay tuned my friend!!!
I live tekton. Definitely with the money!
I agree,they have a good product,and i great warranty!!! thanks my friend!!
I have quite a few tekton tools and im a big fan. I am not a fan of their ratchets however. I use mainly snapon, gearwrench and icon ratchets and they are all better than my tekton ratchet.
Thanks for the feedback!!! love hearing what you guys think!!
I have there 40” 3/4 breaker bar it’s a beast along with other tools and sockets
40" that is a beast!! i never tried there breaker bars!! i may take another look!!!thank you!!
Awesome collection - jealous
Thanks steven glad you enjoyed!! hope all is well!!!
I lost one of my tekton wrenches, I going to give them a call and see if I can get a replacement. Thanks Jeff
Hi pete,im not sure if they will waranty a lost tool, but let me know what they say, thanks pete!
@@jefftovani5535 I was just going to see if they had a single wrench that I could buy. I can't find even the complete set or a single wrench anymore.
Tekton makes some good tools just very limited in their selection imo hence I use a LOT of Gearwrench
Thanks my friend for sharing your opinion!! i like gearwrench as well!!! take care!!
Nice collection. Disappointing on the rust issue.
Yea the pliers only!! thanks for your thoughts my friend!!
Thats intersting wow 😮😮😮
Yea i have a few TEKTON tools, lol!!thanks my friend for checking in!!!!
I don't care for their pliers or wrenches but sockets and screwdrivers are decent
Thanks my friend for joining in and expressing your opinion!! i love knowing what you guys love and use!!
I wonder if the usa pliers are made by western forge all of my 90 to 2000 year craftsman plies rust the same way.
Not sure were there made!!! its funny you mentioned craftsman pliers, my old craftsman pliers have rust also!!! thanks for joining in!!!
Great tekton collection very nice
Thanks eddie for joining in!!!
I like Tekton tools, There socket rails and wrench holders are better the icons. I don’t like Icons plastic trays
Thanks for sharing that with us my friend!!! ill have to try there socket railes!!
I want a set of those stubby's
I posted the link, check them out!!
Are tecton and Mayhew tools the same exact thing? Except for the Mayhew is far cheaper? I have not compared the two of them together yet but I am a big fan of Mayhew. I also have several tools of texting but they're not the same exact tools so it's impossible now for me to compare the two.
Im not sure, maybe the pry bars!! i need to look into it!!
Thanks. Tekton is a line I am not familiar with.
Quality mid level tools!! with a fantastic warranty!!! thanks my friend!!!
Good stuff. Thanks Jeff. Toilet Bowl Ratchet hahahhahahaha :)
Oh boy the toilet bowl ratchet, that going to be there #1 seller, lol!!!
👍👍👍
Thanks harr for checking in,hope all is well!!
Nice tools but I can’t see either !
Thanks for you feedback!!!
You think the tekton is better then the craftsman?
close,i depends on what it is!!
@jefftovani5535 I like the craftsman a lot but I will pick up a flex head 9 or of 10 times. I have about 6 different brands of none flex ratchet wrenchs. Craftsman is my favorite of them.
hell yea
TEKTON is in the house!!!
Tekton crows feet are USA made
Yea,i dont own any bought they look really high quality!!! thanks for joining in!!!
👍🏼
Thanks my friend for checking in!!
👍😎👍
Hi pieman,thanks for checking in!!!
Knipex!
Knipex is a good brand!! thanks for joining in!!!
They're screwdrivers or at least their hard handle screwdrivers are junk in my opinion. The shafts are too soft and flexible to be used as prybars and let's be honest that's really all a flat head is used for.
Thanks for the feedback,i never bought there screwdrivers,so i cant say how good or bad they really are!! again thanks for joining in!!
I bought some Tekton 3/8 allen sockets, I was not impressed. Quality was lower than Harbor Freight. Wont buy another tool from them
Thanks for joining in and sharing your opinion!!!
Thanks for joining in and sharing your opnion!!!
Thanks for joining in and sharing your opinion!!!
Hey Jeff, do you like the Tekton long reach bit sets or no? And in your opinion will they last or is there better sets out there
hi caleb i do like the Tekton long reach bit sets!! i only broke 1 in 10 years, took a picture of the broken bit, sent it to them through my phone, they sent me a new replacement bit in 2 days,no question asked!!!! good tools and a great warranty!! there may be better sets out there but none with a better warranty!!!
@@jefftovani5535 you always reply and I thank you so much for it, I trust you for all my tool needs always keep making videos for us still learning 💪🏻🙌🏻
I got their chrome socket sets 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 a few years ago .I love them the size range with no skips is unmatched. Never had a single issue never broke one .
Good to know, great feedback!!! tekton is stepping up there game!!!
Yes, new Tekton sockets are both laser etched and stamped on the rear. One of the few affordable brands that doesn't skip sizes.
Thanks my friend for joining in!!
I have some Tekton tools - bought the standard and metric combo wrenches on a Black Friday deal (50% off) at Mejers. Now Mejers sells Stanley tools. Not sure who left who Mejers or Tekton - that was in 2018 or 2019 on the switch.
Thanks for joining in and giving us some info!!i bought lots of tools on black friday!! great deals can usually be found!!
Jeff, I love the Tektom comfort grip. You should try one. Since Wilde makes Tekton pliers, is the Wilde rusting ?
no the wilde is not rusting!! ill have to try a comfort grip ratchet!! tekton is stepping up there game i would say!! thanks for checking in!!
Fantastic! Can you do something similar to Capri? I feel like Tekton, capri and icon are 3 good mid tier companies
Yes,give me some time, thanks for the feedback, stay tuned!!
I have had the same problem with rust on the pliers only. I think the newer impacts are stamped but much more expensive.
Yea its always pliers!!! the newer impacts are stamped as well as lazer etched,so im told by a few others!!! thanks my friend!!!
That's a nice bundle of tools but l don't like rust problems
Same here, mostly just there pliers for some reason!!! thanks for joining in!!!
That satin finish is growing on me a bit!
Hi nick,it will,it hides the scratches well, not as slippery when greasy!! probably wont rust easy ethier!! thanks my friend!!!
I would agree about the etching on the sockets waring off being a problem. I know i can re etch the sockets but it could be made deeper at the factory to avoid this issue. I love tekton for replacing my current tools when they need replacement
Hi john thanks for your thoughts!! yea etching doesnt hold up,but i guess the new ones are also stamped!!
Hot damn nice set of tools.💪👍🇺🇸
Thanks my friend!!! tekton is stepping up there game,no doubt!!!
Thanks for sharing I like the tekton tools I have not as much as you though
Hi warren thanks for jumping in and sharing that with us!!! stay tuned!!!
The Tekton website points are very nice as well as their warranty.,
Hi jeff they sure are!! thanks for checking in my friend!!!
@@jefftovani5535 I Love coming across tool reviews on some things that I may or may not have already. Along with other possible uses that I'm unaware of for that tool. Thanks for that...
I really like my 1/4 drive Tekton torque wrench.
is that the split beem or the twist handle design?
Twist handle 10-150 inch pounds.
I'll be getting me one of them folded up ratchets , And the chrome looks beautiful on all that stuff. Another quality manufacturer , Take care, Jeff.
The folding ratchet is neat!! yes there chrome is nice!! thanks for joining in my friend!!
The stubby wrenches are good..I've had mine about as long as I've had the screwdriver set..about 6-8 years..still use em..they're good Jeffery 👍
Thanks for jumping in and sharing your take on the brand!! i may have to get some screwdrivers!! stay tuned!!!
I like what Tekton tools I have, prolly my favorites now is the 2 stubby combo sets. They feel great and look even better, plus it helps I picked them up with a 20% discount off Zoro. Hey Jeff, almost at 6K brother, keep on doing your thing.
The stubbies are nice!! glad you use and like!! yea almost at 6000 subs, crazy, never thought i would see that!! thanks for your support!!
I have the impact set and they are etched. You need to paint the numbers though. I like them. I have the chrome set also. I like them. And I have the mini pick/ screwdriver set. I like Tekton. They're a very good quality tool company. You have a nice collection.
Thanks for sharing your experence with using TEKTON,much appreciated!!!
I have Tekton's long torx and allans, they're okay but have since been replaced with my gearwrench master set that lives in my cart. I also have a 33mm 1/2" drive socket that I use daily for lug nuts, but I hate that it's only laser etched and not stamped, it's already been almost worn away in less than a year. It's a shame, I want to like Tekton, I just don't.
Thanks for sharing what you think about tekton tools!! appreciate the feedback!!
Another great video. I can' t complain about any of the stuff I bought from them. They have a good system for shipping to Canada. I thinking about getting a set of the reversible ratcheting wrenches next. So I appreciated the mini review.
I did a video on the new ratchet wrench line, the reversibles, the flex-heads,and the XL double box,all in there own seperate videos!!
How are those K-tool international screw drivers?? I have a 3/8" drive socket set from K-tool just like Tekton a solid choice. Can't speak on the warranty process however
Used them only a little, they seem good quality!! nice handles!! i have the k-tool XL double box flex-head ratchet wrenches and love them!!! thanks for joining in!!!
Got the 1/4 and 1/2” metric/SAE socket sets, zero issues with the sockets… generally l use the Tekton sockets with other brand ratchets
I like the tekton sockets as well!! these are the older style with only the lazer etching, the newer ones have stamp size as well!! thanks my friend!!
Tekton usa pliers are wilde I think they had flush fasteners for a while but they as well as proto went back to the cheaper standard fasteners sk picked up the flush fasteners after the changeover but they may be different now all the us manufacturers have streamlined their product lines they took away crimpers in lineman and combo pliers to reduce cost they are not producing anything that doesn't sell big or takes a lot of metal channellock isn't making 10.5" lineman's
Great info my friend!! the tool world is constantly changing, and its usually not for the better!!! thanks for joining in!!!
Hi Jeff, I have only warranty a tekton 13 mm ratcheting wrench, and you can beat the warranty with a stick. 👍
Fantastic my friend!!! thanks for joining in!!!
Finally got a chance to see the tekton episode I really like those wrenches so I added them to my wish and also the mini pry bars I really like those so that's on the list also I'm going to stop by and ratchets for a while I think I got enough to last me so anyhow thank you for another great video thank you for all your information I hope you have a wonderful day
Thanks my friend for joining in!!
bought a single 19mm ratcheting wrench and they have the smoothest drive!!
I agree they are smooth!! thanks my friend!!!
Thanks for your continued updates on tekton man. Rally helps
Hi kwrinn tekton is one of my favorite brands, great warranty as well!! thanks my friend!!
I love the Tekton comfort grip ratchets, don’t judge it before you try it!
Well im going to pick some up,to try!! thank you for joining in!!
Anybody have the 3/8 tekton sockets? How good are they?
I dont own any but have used the in other shops!!! they are good, solid quality my friend!!!
Hey Jeff, in relation to the folding ratchet. I have the quick release version and the handle does not push the button for you. The button is very low profile and there is at least and eighth of an inch clearance between them..
Their impact sockets are now dual marking, etched and stamped like most of the higher quality impact sockets are.
Also, love their combination wrenches, have the 6-24 mm set as well as the 6-24 mm flex-head ratcheting wrenches, I really like that satin chrome and it makes it easy to differentiate between the ratcheting and normal wrenches at a glance, though I do worry about rust as it really reminds me of the finish on the Wera tools and they are prone to rust if you don't oil them. In that regard that finish might be much like the black phospate finish on a lot of impact sockets where you should oil them before putting them away to avoid rust.
Yea i figured the folding ratchet had enough clearence in the push botton socket release!!! thanks for comfirming the new sockets are lazer etched and stamped!!! in sure a light coat of oil would help with rust, expecially on the pliers!! thanks for joining in!!
