What! An actual woodworker on youtube? But your shop is not spotless and where are all the Red Woodpecker tools displayed in black foam? How come your not wearing a Festool shirt? How come your bandsaw isn't brand new (freshly given to you for free)? Where are all the affiliate links? I am so confused right now.
Great work. Super fast. One question though is since you haven’t flattened the curved base part, won’t the joint become loose once it’s been flattened and thicknessed since the cross piece joint width is based on the current thickness of the curved part?
I have both. That setup time is hardly worthwhile though. Although I must admit, I have made some colossal miscuts on everything by now in my career. I feel most in control of the skillsaw , bandsaw, sawzall, and those other thingys.
It's....rough work. Imprecise. Fast, sure. But careless. That joint is going to have rough surfaces and unsquare faces and gaps and eventually it's going to wobble. Especially in a base. Take more care in your work. What's the rush?
Old school knowledge!! The grandpa of my cousins always said: “keep it simple”
That backward drag against the band saw to get that last little bit off the cross member was slick.
I’ve never been so urgently inspired to buy a bandsaw.
Using the bandsaw kerf on one side as a scraper to widen the cut gives more precision, good idea.
Yeah, no joke. This is the kind of tip that I needed.
Truly love your vibe! When u drop the leg saying nothing return with a hammer, gold. Quality work on the bandsaw learn so much from you.
Nice video - good vibe, showing the whole process of sneaking up on a fit, no nonsense.
Thanks for the quick base idea Keith! Keep it up!
All done without any fancy expensive measuring tools. That's experience for you.👍
Thanks for your knowledge you learn something new everyday
You are a monster with a bandsaw! You made that look easy.
Awesome Keith...valuable techniques simply explained...thank you
Short & sweat! Nicely done.

You.. love it as always
Numbers still going up 👍 Thought I was watching Ricky Bobby on that bandsaw.
Thanks

Me too. But thanks for your support...

The curved part is a surfaced board.
Ever heard of a router or a dado set?

how can you walk into that room and not want to paint it ?
I have memories in there. Each spot on those walls has meaning to me of a younger me.

" I like fast". We know, we know. Haha

Alters salute with wiggle fingers on opposite side of head.
You’re instructing newbies…… please put on your safety glasses or they might get the impression that safety is optional. 😊
Thanks
And maybe add some dust collection.
