Excellent! I hadn't considered the voice tone. A trick I use, when standing still, is place my weight on one foot and hardly touch the floor/ground with the other. Somehow I rise quite a bit.

Weight and fitness has a large effect on height. To use myself as an example, I was 188-189cm at school no matter how I stood.... but I was out of shape the older I got at school. So I was 6'2.5 really. In my twenties I put on more weight and was 187cm. However, in my thirties I got much fitter and stood much taller to reach a solid 190cm. I am 42 now and coz my back was killing me I took up cycling and stretching. I am now 191.5 no word of a lie. So I have ended up nearly 6 foot 4 lol. Posture and fitness make so much difference. Strengthen your core with cycling and swimming and watch yourself stretch out. The back pain has mostly gone now too. It will take at least 2-3 separate cycling sessions a week though

This is really a well-versed perspective and demonstrates your keen research and knowledge in this area. I have long been fascinated with the fact that I have rarely seen a celebrity (Actor, Sports, TV personality, Politician etc) that matched my own preconceived notion of their stature? In fact, in my time, I have seen hundreds of these folks and I haven't really been able to figure out why this phenomenon constantly occurs. Well, I think you have nailed it - in that - "perceived height" has many variables as opposed to "real height" which only has one (correct measurement). It really is fascinating how much "human height" matters with regards to our judgements of people and their attitudes towards themselves. Somewhat arrogantly, I know that I am right about this because of the simple fact that I cannot think of anyone who has ever stated their height to be lower than it actually was?

What you said about voice and presents is also very true, at least to me, at almost 6'1, even the popular guys that range from 5'9-6'0, that have a bigger presents or even deeper voices are seen as bigger or taller because of that, i know this because of how people are surprised when I'm around them and the other person whos shorter than me (but still pretty tall) when they realize how tall i am compared to the other people with a bigger presents and deeper voices, vs. Me being very timid and more quiet.

You could work on it, if you see yourself as a famous character or actor who has the presence you require you become more like them. Especially if you think in their voice.

Im 6'1.5 in shoes and generally about 6'0.5 barefoot during the day. If I were to get a full night's sleep after going to bed at a reasonable hour I'd probably wake up a 6'1, but sleep schedule plays a big part, since it's so inconsistent I'm thinking I wake up shorter than I should be. I had a nurse measure me at 6'2 before so that's what I claim, it's accurate for the most part. My standing posture is nearly at attention most moments, so I'm honest with my height. I've stood next to people that are 6'4 and because of my large frame, big hands and feet, along with my reach I match up pretty well.

I fraud my height from 175cm to 182cm. (No, not through lying) I know people smaller than me who claim a greater height than mine. I never realized how ridiculous this shit is before this year. People maybe 8-10cm taller than me claiming to be 195cm+. I have encountered this multiple times.
Honestly I don't care about "real" height anymore. What does it matter if I claim something I am not and am still smaller than the guy/girl? What matters is perceived height or the height you fake. I had girls asking me for my height a couple of times already and it's funny that I can get away with lying even though I am not a fan of it. It's usually girls around the same height as me. F.e. once she was 173cm (I am 175cm) but with perfect posture and big sole shoes I literally towered her and could easily kiss the top her forehead.
I use shoes nowadays with thick soles and insoles that boost me up by atleast 5cm. Only problem is when I am in a social gathering and need to take them off. That's a true killer haha..

And there being made by different companys, so they will be using different measuring tapes, why should they care its only a height chart, No big deal. Theres no other way to make them. I did it myself in the house and got it bang on. As when i was age 16 i got measured for suit and the man said do you want your height taken, we do it the right way were you stand against the wall. And i was 5' 10" i thought it was taller than that. Then at age 17 and a half a was in his shop again being measured for a suit. And he said want you height taken? I said yes and was 5' 11" 006mm, he said you might not grow above age 18, i see it every day in here. But i knew you were taller as soon as i saw you. Even an inch and half shows alot. Thats ok your almost 6ft. I went back in at age 21 and i wasnt any taller, he was right. And i measured myself the way he did and it was the same height. I did it to see if you grow above age 18. I didnt. But i dont know any that have.

Bruh I'm 6 4.75 but people always perceive me as 6'2 or 6'3 sometimes because of my broad structure

maybe your width plays a part in it, assuming you feel your posture is ok and you don't have a very low eyelevel

Weird. My height is around 6'3 barefoot, yet me being built very broadly (broad shoulders, big hands etc), makes my perceived height closer to 6'4-6'5 to most people.

Might be due to being wide and having a long big head with shorter legs

At 5'9 1/2 ,6'3 looks very tall to me.I know a guy who's 5'11 barefoot, but because he has very broad shoulders, thick arms, thick neck and deep voice,he appears to be around a little over 6'0. Other guys who r fat or skinny fat, lower muscle tone,(hence lower Testrone)etc.Tpically appear one or two inches shorter than they really are.

Im over 6'2 190 cm I believe between 6'1-6'4 isn't a giant just very tall. I would consider giant around 6'9-7 foot plus and super tall between 6'5-6'8

@@landrymark2367 it's more like 97-98% percentile in USA. But still way taller than average.
